I just finished installing a new CPS in my 2005 Jeep Liberty Diesel and if I hadn't of had this video there is no way I would have ever been able to complete this job. I was only able to get it about 6 more inches off the concrete, and that's not enough. You said to get it up there about 18". As it was, this was the most difficult repair job I have ever made because I could never see what I was doing because my arm and hand was in the way. I had to close my eyes and feel with my hands and fingers. The electrical plug is a bit tricky. Everything 's a bitch on this engine. Thanks for this!
Hope you never have to replace a rack and pinion bushing. I'll tell you now you'll may not need 2 but replace them both and set a full day of swearing aside for the repair.
Try changing the fuel filter I had the exact same problem with my jeep (the same model as yours KJ series) I changed the fuel filter and it solved the problem. Apparently, it is highly recommended to change the fuel filter every 2 years. In all honesty, I hadn't changed my fuel filter for about 7yrs!!.
My mechanic found the problem and either tomorrow or Friday I'm going to have a video explaining the problem. And I was pretty sure it wasn't the filter. Only have 1 oil change on the filter (7500 miles)
Mine was the same I kept driving it now it is a lot worse. If I idle at stop light stalls out, I found out I'm getting air in the fuel system. Change filter head still have the problem, continue to t/s
When you changed the filter head did you purge the air before running? And when you prime the filter are you getting air in the filter? This will indicate which direction to troubleshoot.
Yes and no. I've since sold the jeep and apparently the problem wasn't what we thought. The local dealer found a screw or bolt on the firewall had vibrated through the main harness behind the engine above the transmission.
@@southernyankeehomestead3230 I have just finished installing the in tank lift pump, as I was getting all kinds of air in the fuel with clear lines installed now primer stays rock hard. Jeep was running great for today's then stop running at stop light left overnight next morning started right up drove home. I will look at the harness where you described also ordered new crank position. Indicator. Map sensor as I have that code , and cam sensor. As may be failing when gets hot, but I will look at the whole harness, thanks for your input 👍
I have one that runs than just shuts down at low speeds, than shuts off. With no code, than restarts than runs again any vlue, may be same problem. I will replace.

I appreciate the heads up on that one! BTW, I have tested the vehicle for 45 minutes and it did not shut off. Cheers! @@southernyankeehomestead3230
