My ex used to do that EVERY TIME we went out to eat. Pissed me off like no other. I ended up just ordering food for her whether she wanted it or not, and she would always end up eating it. In my mind, If she didn't like the food I got her, she could buy her own.

My ex once complained that I always ate the fries we got as a side dish to our entire meal too fast and never left enough for her. My argument was that she didn’t eat that many anyway nor really bothered with them so that’s why I ate them. Still, she stuck to her claim that I just ate too much too fast. So, the next time we went out, she asked for a separate plate of fries for herself though I already ordered one for the both of us to share. Instead of arguing, I agreed. But, I took a precaution. As soon as her fries arrived I took a picture. We ate, talked, had a good time overall, then after an hour went by, I took another picture of her plate of fries and showed her. Within an hour, she had only eaten about three pieces of fries from her plate. The pictures were damn near identical.
What I’ve learned from this ladies and gentlemen? If you want to best your lady in an argument, have proof.
Aftermath: we only ordered one plate from then on, but I was also more conscientious about how many fries I ate and did my best to make sure she got some too. It’s also about compromise people.

If a vvoman I am out with doesn't order anything when the waiter is taking our order, & instead says "I'm not hungry", then that is her problem. & I will not allow her to turn her problem into my problem. If she doesn't order anything when she had every opportunity to do so, then that is her own tough luck. & if she then behaves poorly in the restaurant as a result, you just get up, walk out & leave her there. Then once in private later on, you tell her that if she behaves like that again, she's done.
