    Superb quality throughout, easy to assemble. I found the saw to be highly accurate and a delight to use (I am a homeowner using this saw for various projects). I attached the saw to a folding mobile stand to save space and that works great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe as well. However, you have to be sure the saw is securely locking in position before collapsing the stand. I've had many of the brands over the years and have come to point where I only buy Bosch, the extra money is a small price to pay for the quality and ease of use. Treat yourself to the best.

    Okay so I just got mine and it is a really top notch tool. I see a lot of people saying it is expensive, and it is, considering the 40v 216mm slider is only about 20% more expensive.
    This, however, says made in Japan on it. Could explain the price somewhat. Mine came totally set up out of the box, even the laser is dead on. Might not be worth it for a lot of people but it's exactly what I need. One hand carry, takes up very little space in the van, goes with a single battery. Only had it for about 2 hours but I am very impressed so far. Also comes with a very high end 64 tooth blade.

    This looks superb for cutting glazing beads and floor beads, architrave etc all those jobs were you want a quick acurate cut but resent lugging out the big chopsaw for few 5 second cuts.
    To be honest it would replace my corded chopsaw for around 40% of what i use it for.

  • @Bence205
    @Bence205 8 месяцев назад +1

    How am I just finding out about this. Couple of times a year I have to do small alu trim on jobsites, right now I have to do 3500 meters of alu skirting on a large conference building. I'm lugging my makita MT around between 7 floors, mainly because it's so cheap I just leave it wherever on site, if someone takes it, it has already payed for itself many times over. Would be nicer with cordless, only have 2 outlets on each floor, but I don't want to lug around my cordless kapex because I can't leave that on site overnight. This thing is less than 7 kg! Bit on the expensive side, but on this job alone it would already pay for itself, speedig up the workflow not having to run around for m the nearest of the 2 outlets. This will be my 4th miter saw, I guess it never ends...

    its a perfect little saw for doing shoe molding! So compact and portable the only thing that's keeping me from buying it is how u have to loosen a screw to change the blade angle instead if the more widely used front push to release that all other saws have. Doing that 200 times a day is going to drive u mad!! If they made that adjustment im sure they would sell a lot more of these saws.

    I love Makita tools, best in terms of build quality and longevity in my experience. 90% of my cordless tools are Makita. This saw looks nice, but the price tag it comes attached to is over the top for me. I ended up buying the Milwaukee 7-1/4" sliding saw which is slightly larger in footprint, weighs a couple pounds more but offers so much more in terms of capacity, blade availability (here in the US at least) and the Milwaukee saw with a 5ah battery and charger is the same price, but often much cheaper on sale, than this little Makita saw. Hell, Makitas x2 10" front rail saw is the same price as this saw and around the holidays its actually cheaper in kit form with 2 5ah batteries and a dual charger than this bare tool. Wherever this huge price increase comes from, it's certainly not from raw materials.

      I have 20 or so makita cordless tools and would love to have this little saw but I am having trouble with the price point too.
      If it were around three hundred U.S it would be a no brainer.
      Never seen this one on sale , got the 10" cordless slider for 30 more than they want for this one.
      15lbs sure does seem awesome though...

      @Stakker Humanoid. Quite an apt avatar/user pic you have there, comrade. I am perhaps "labouring" under the illusion that the gillete jaune movement is not a wholly left nor right wing movement. It draws allegiances from the proletariat as a whole and does not have any particularly left/right wing bias. However you assertion that it is the bourgeois elites that are being brought to account is self evident.

    re the circular saw, I just laid up about 100m of garden edging for my partner using 200*50 pine sleepers. My Makita 18v saw (single battery, not the X2 version) easily makes it through multiple dry sleepers but the wet sleepers take a massive toll on the batteries. Fortunately I wasn't pushed for time so I was always able to either let the battery cool down in the saw or simply pop it out and put a new one in for each wet sleeper. If I'd had my dual charger on hand instead of the single charger it would have been better since the dualy has a fan to cool the batteries.
