I highly applaud you, as a trainer. It is one thing to be gifted at playing a musical instrument. It is a wholly-different thing to be able to recall the daunting experience of a beginner struggling to learn, and then break all your own massive experience down to relatable and simplified chunks that allow a beginner to incorporate them in a way that is as straightforward and as easy as possible to learn. Not everyone has the ability, intelligence, patience, and compassion necessary in order to do that.

@@LaurenBateman Thank you, Lauren! You should know, I make my comments as a professional. For over 20 years I have worked as a senior executive and consultant in the training industry, and I have worked with many of the largest, most successful companies in the world. My specialty has been performance modeling, which essentially means that I convert the unconscious skills of top performers into easy-to-learn training systems that beginners and low performers can use to quickly achieve the same levels of performance as so-called 'naturals'. You obviously have that same aptitude when it comes to teaching guitar. I haven't seen enough of your channel yet to know, but I wonder, do you also train your students in the psychology and belief systems of world-class guitarists? That would be cool, and not something you typically see. 😀

You're far too young to remember Steppenwolf! 😉 I vaguely remember from my late teens (around 1970 ish) a band called Ten Years After covering this song, an absolute classic 👌, Crazy simple with these open chords.
