When we lived in a small northern California town back in the 80s, a local sawmill was using the Feather River for their own sluice receptacle. How i found out was my kids would play in the river and they told me "stuff" was in the water. I checked it out and took a sample and sent it to the Environmental Quality dept in Sacramento. After the sawmill was investigated they were dumping their millpond water into the river which fed into Lake Almanor; a major source of water for the area. 😮 So the State shut the sawmill down long enough for them to devise a dry-deck, so no more pollution for the river or lake.

Incredible. THIS is doing wonders for the environment.
What's amazing is how it collected this much trash in a single day
Bless you guys man. 99% of ppl in this world don't do shit for the problems we face. Including me. Yell are standing up and doing something. I respect yall and don't ever forget the importance of your actions

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for cleaning this river in my beautiful country of Guatemala. I wish people would not throw their garbage into the river or in nature. Thanks
If you were that thankful you'd quit throwing trash in your streets in the first place.
Thank you too from El Salvador 🇸🇻
Every country needs to take note of this
I was absolutely astounded when the lights turned on and I realized this was only one days worth of trash🤯😔
People are disgraceful. Thanks for caring more than most.
I’m not allowed to have plastic straws or cutlery in my country and this disgrace is happening? Unreal.
People are poor and just trying to survive in a lot of these places.
Most of this is from impoverished areas that don't have access to waste management.

You guys do a marvelous job, taking care of what's in the water, taking care of the environment and taking care of us and the planet. Much respect 👍
If only the community wouldn’t dump waste in the river we wouldn’t need this

Most Guatemalans live hand to mouth so they don't think about the consequences of their actions. Throwing garbage down a hillside or into a river is free, garbage collection isn't.
love your work!!!!! Cheers!!!
Also, no more 4-eyed fish.

The planning sure but not everything.
The "stop oil" people could also plant trees or gardens or nearly anything else if they wanted to be of any benefit.
That would require them to work a job, but they would rather be lazy and protest. Cause protesting is the work of a lazy man.
yeah but doing this actually takes effort, activists just scream at other people so that some one else can do the effort, they just bring awareness. Basically they take pride in being useless fcking knts
I am so glad that at least they are taking steps to prevent as much ocean bound waste as possible?
Thankyou for doing this ❤
