You don't see good Star Destroyer animations often. That one really impressed me.
That moment that you realize these things were practically invisible if not under proper illumination, that is a terrifying thought
Very nice having the window lights roughly match the starry background so the star destroyer basically appears out of nowhere. That’s one of the most creative approaches I’ve seen thus far for that kind of video. Also makes it worth rewatching multiple times…… sorry, I can’t get over how cool that is.
Rogue One did the same thing with a Star Destroyer appearing out of the shadow of the Death Star.

I was about to type "it looks like you just made it transparent before it reveals like some cloaking ship"
But then i realized those were the greeblie lights, holy shit, thats so creative

They way you camouflaged the ship to the background was really cool. If you squint your eyes it isnt there. I never thought of the idea of space camo, but this video proves how cool the idea would be.

Star Destroyer is one of my most favorite ship in Star Wars Universe, the second favorite is Lucrehulk class ship. The shape of the Lucrehulk is an amazing design.

This would be a great intro to a Star Wars film after the scrolling texts exit out of the scene...and comes the star destroyer into the scene.
What is casting the shadow that it is appearing from? I thought this to myself when it did the same in Rogue One but realised it was cast by the disk being fitted on the Death Star. Other than that ot is very good.
It's probably the same as Rogue One. Shadowed by Death Star. Or Executor.

This is an amzing upgrade from the last one but the prob with tis one is thar the star destroyers is too viewable from the stars
Thought the Star Wars universe got cloaking devices all of a sudden :P
If you think about it, in reality, all those spaceships in movies would look just like this, extremely dark, until they arrive to a solar system where the star (or stars if binary or more than two stars) illuminate the ship. You do not want to have the military ships silver or grey, you want them matt black like the Eclipse Super star Destroyer which we never got to see in the Star Wars movies but most fans probably know about. You want to be camouflaged, and in space, matt black is your perfect color. The small light coming form the windows make it even better to blend with stars in the background, but that is if you can see stars in the background. I would rather have the ship with windows that do not allow light to go out.
Most ships in movies are designed and painted to please the eyes of the viewers, nothing else. In reality, you want them black, at least, the military ships.
Try agx to make it darker and blend in with the background even more this is a really cool idea

As a fellow Blender user, let me list the things I dislike:
* Ship not appearing from full black (style choice ofc) (from black would feel more close to the original and actually powerful. For reference, look at the Destiny 2 Pyramid ships cutscenes)
* The Light of some Hangars of the Star Destroyer gives it away at some spots. Also outline is too visible to fully utilize the effct.
Aside of that, well done :D

Uh. They're not stars. They're lit windows. That's the whole point.
Harder fall off on the shadow I think? I love how the silhouette and lights just blends in to the bg starfield haha
But yeah, Rogue One had harder shadows? I guess the bottom of the SD can be darker or maybe overall...eh it's more of a color note tho.
