This Geekom pc is truly amazing. I'm very happy I got it for Music production and Animation.
The Beelink supports 2 NVME SSD's up to 4TB each and it is slightly cheaper. Does Geekcom allow you to allocate more ram to the built GPU?
Is there mouse or screen lag when used with 2 or 3 monitors?
Did you witness any security vulnerability with the device? did you need to do anything like reinstall windows? And is their BIOS safe? Much thanks
newb question, but how are the specs of this for photo editing (hobbyist photographer using lightroom and photoshop)
Amazing!
Have u tried putting an External GPU in there?
So what about Premier Pro test?
Geekom Cooking 💯
Where are the multi bay (2, 4 +) SSD enclosures(DAS) with USB 3.2 gen2 and up connections???!!! (Besides the Ugreen)???
Geekom won't disappoint you😉
Thank you Sir
Most welcome
This is just bunkers! Nice device.
Question, is it worth getting a server grade CPU to future proof my PC build? LIke Xeon, or Thread Ripper?
It's depending of your workflow, i believe.
@@CSC8393 Well, I start by importing into Lightroom, generating 1:1 previews, apply base presets. I notice that my CPU is hitting 100% while creating those previews. On top of that simply applying these base presets as a batch make the CPU hit around 50%.
Next, I send my bracketed images in batches of five to my HDR software plugin. Once I've made modifications it comes back as a TIff which I will make virtual copies of to apply different effects to each image which I will send to Photoshop to have it composited.
Just my opinion based on what I have read, multi core CPUs are very capable, and using a workstation based CPU is only necessary if you make use of the extra PCI-e lanes. The more cores the better for CPU dependent tasks.
@@johnt.848 Thank you. I'm going to wait to see what Intel brings for fifteenth gen.
how is the material quality, wifi ,blueetooth adaptor ,,
Very good
Very interesting machine.
Does it mcome with windows 11 preinstalled or do we need to buy
It does
nice review, by the way your editing is very good man i liked it, but some times i feel music is too loud and distracting so u can use Premiere auto ducking feature to make sure music level is maintain, and would i like to work with you in future if possible
I use Davinci resolve should I get 7900XT Ultra or 4070 super i manly edit Sony Fx3,30,and fx6 codecs? (the xt is 125$ dollar more)
For Resolve I would get 7900XT 20GB because of the strong performance and the extra 8GB VRAM which plays a huge role compared to the pity 12GB.
The problem in your case is that the Sony codecs you mention are all of them 10bit 4:2:2, and NONE of these graphics cards do hardware 4:2:2 decoding (RDNA 3 or Ada).
So you need to rely on a second Intel ARC GPU ONLY for the 4:2:2 HW decoding you need, OR you combine either of 7900XT/4070S with a 13/14th Gen CPU with the iGPU UHD770 (not the F versions!) to get the 4:2:2 HW acceleration you need from Quicksync (which in 13/14th gen decode ALL of the range h264/5 4:2:2 up to 8K).
If I were you I would get the 4070Ti Super 16GB with an A380 and an AMD CPU (in case you don't have a PC or are about to upgrade) that is energy efficient (7950X or even better 9950X next month). In Resolve's settings you can set up the Intel ARC GPU to do only the encoding and you leave all the rest (either AMD/NVIDIA main GPU) to be done on the powerful main GPU.
So the short answer isn't the GPU only, but the CPU or GPU (with Quicksync) you need, since ONLY Intel Quicksync at the moment can offer you 4:2:2 10bit HW acceleration.
I hope it all makes sense since I am a Resolve user as well and have my PC set up like this. (NVIDIA 30 series+ARC+CPU Quicksync). I bought the A380 to get HW AV1 encoding as well, but in your case, both 7900XT/4070S offer that from their media engines.
Intel ARC GPUs (any Alchemist model) have DUAL Media engines, this is what you need mostly and AFTER you choose the main Resolve GPU.
I hope you got your questions answered brother.
Praise to the Lord!
@@xarisathosThank for the info I already have i5 12600k that has Quicksync with a 3060 but I think I'm going to upgrade to a 4070Ti Super 16GB.
when I upgrade my GPU how do I go about pair it with an A380 gpu to get more performance.
Also if the A380 gpu to get me more performance I think I buy that first to pair with the 3060 and waitfor 4070Ti Super 16GB price to drop a little
@@JuanflimIt Make sure you have Quicksync enabled in BIOS (GPU 0 in Task Manager), then check Resolve settings to use Intel Quicksync for decode (you can disable NVIDIA ones). 3060 can do the trick for most things though it's not very powerful, but until gettings the 4070Ti S you can get a cheap A380 to take advantage of the Dual Media Engines + AV1 encoding capability.
A380 won't/shouldn't contribute in rendering performance, only will be used for scrabbing the timeline and exporting video (encoding). Make sure to use only CUDA in settings as well, or it will try to use OpenCL for both GPUs.
@@xarisathosyou sound very knowledgeable. Can you just tell me straight a PC build that can handle 10 bit 422 from my A7S III and G9 2 easily when editing in Sony Vegas Pro 20.
@raalaa121 i edit on vegas pro 20! I basically convert all my files to prores 422 hq with adobe media encoder, & it makes editing SUPER easy and smooth!
I hoped to see something about AI usage with this CPU given the title.
Yeah. It's like reviewing a car without actually driving it.
Cheers for saving my time. What an absolutely useless video. Good clickbait, though.
well, AMD doesn't let us see the NPU in taskmanager, so there's no way of seeing when we use the NPU :)
@@theTechNotice Without task manager info the NPU is useless then.. or not )
Q: Can #AI (on linux) find the Amulet of Yendor?
Very nice
I have A7 version of this and it handles everything I throw at it happily - I don't do gaming. I am editing this on an lower performance Geekom. I love them. no trouble in the almost A year its been running.
Hi mate. Just a quick question. Does it work loudly? Like does it annoy others while working outside?
@@pumpernickelzz Mine is mounted behind one of my monitors and I hear nothing. Excellent bit of kit. I have three of them now (different specs) doing different roles and all without issue.
@@kevinturner6621 Thank you so much for your review
Nice
Still not having an option to add another SSD is disappointing.
I know especially coz it kinda has the place for it...
no oculink?
I think it's got thunderbolt
Bi-directional 40GB USB-C, that will do it.
I don't understand this ssd limitation....
honestly, same!
It is very good mini PC overall that's actually available in my country, but the single M.2 is deal breaker to me, :(
Very but I also like Beelink
I would say it's not the best, just because it's made in and support is, in China. These companies come out with a new model every 2 months and Chinese companies come and go so quickly that you have to wonder whether support will be there in a year.
AI? Well, I will definitely avoid it, then.
I wish some brand could make this mini pc with mac mini form factor , not too small, not too big, and maximize the cooling solution.
You are one of those who keep asking but never buy lol.
@@MrMalam1234 hey mr m0r0n, i have mac mini m1 and want to buy the amd mini pc as alternative for my rip software that had n0 mac os version but couldn't find the right one yet, you m0r0n
its $1,399.
Hello brother
The opening background muzak is highly strange and distracting.
Too expensive for the performance specs.
Design is nice, but it's a full-blown Mac Mini ripoff.
I would buy this in 10 years when it doesn't cost 1,200+ dollars
You said for $900, Not a chance. Here in the U.S. How about $1,400 for that spec and $1,100 for the Lower Spec. Yeah, Hard Pass!!!
It's $1,200+ in AUD dollars for me, I think he is just doing a clickbait comment
@@bwprh Exactly!!!
Where you seeing that? It's $850 us dollars.
@@commenter6441 the USD is cheaper then AUD since you earn less
Nvidia owns the AI market. AMD will always be 2nd to Nvidia. :)
