Most important factor in these small ali-boxes is their UEFI and amount of spyware in it
i would only worry if the user dont know how to reinstall windows. they are still value if you dont game
Minisforum and some other offer barebones which is a positive
I’d always wipe anything that comes from any vendor. The amount of bloatware you get is never fun

There's actually one with good specs that I think I am gonna buy for my music production projects. AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, 32GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM, 1TB SSD. With the ability to upgrade to 64GB and additional 1TB SSD.
+1 for showing us the ugly in the G3 teardown. From the reviews I've watched the other brands don't seem to treat CPU chips like that...

The upgradeable aspect of these PC’s is terrific! Sooner or later, Apple is going to have to address this or they will be left behind. We all know it’s only a matter of time before the M1 components start to fail and there’s no way to repair. Interesting video… thanks for all the effort.
Looks like overspray from painting the fins, so when you look inside you see black and not bare copper.
No the cooler wont get that hot, todays computers are to damn clever and will clock itself down not to take damage.

I've seen that exact n100 system run at 71°c at 15w power at 100% usage for 10 minutes on ETA prime channel and it never throttled once!! So something isn't going right inside the system!! Maybe a bad paste or it didn't seat properly or something like that. Plus gm tec systems all have adjustable tdp including the ultra CPU family directly in the BIOS ETA prime uses it fairly regularly and rarely uses Intel's tuning app on any systems. Even the n97 should run fine to 12w without any thermal issues it gets up to 80°c i've also seen u300 CPU systems which are 12th generation 5 core 6 thread with duel channel DDR5 and n200 systems all from 6w to 25w in tiny PC format and not throttle so either the Intel tuning app needs tweaking to under volt when increasing the clocks just dragging everything to max then testing isn't the best way to show off the system at it's best. Maybe check out ETA prime videos on these exact systems and see what he is doing to get better results!! And then if you are still throttling or having other issues maybe repaste the CPU and retry because it's not how it's meant to be unfortunately.

So now I am using BT when mobile and bolt connection on a dock when in office.
I have a ton of USB-a to usb-c connectors now too. Just stupid not go all in usb-c
I love every piece of tech I carry charges via usb-c too. Less bricks since I can use op GAN chargers and less wires
