I was thinking the same thing. I just found gold. This is educational learning. As much as I love watching Butterfly Spanish and using Duolingo etc. THIS is the way to learn. Gracias por el video.
Liliana, If you could make more videos using this method, to teach us the past tense and future tense, especially of the popular verbs (tener, haber, ser, ir, estar, poner, poder, etc.) it would be great. Plus you could make a TON of videos. We would watch them all numerous times, because they would be very helpful.
Liliana, this is really great content, and you are an excellent and very patient teacher. "Yo quiero aprender español." You are "spoon feeding" us the basic lessons, but that's exactly what we need at this beginner level!
7:53 Although the translation is correct, when asking the question How are you? In Spanish it is ¿Cómo estás? Personal Pronouns are omitted since they are implicit in the sentence.
I wish to appreciate teacher Lliana from the bottom of my heart. please do more on the use of la an el in spanish . your method of teaching is the best for beginners like me from Africa,Muchas gracias
At timestamp 3:39 I was told/taught to use "calor" for hot b/c it can be taken the wrong way. Like caliente would be used to refer to oneself or in a more intimate manner rather than the weather or temperature. 🤔 Idk if it is just a dialect thing, but just letting you know.
I know basic Spanish but this video explains so much using little examples. I hope you have made many other videos like this, just simple examples is a great way to build from.
Gracias Liliana. Yo aprendo espanol con duolingo and just watch your video. I did it almost all sentences correct 😊. I' m from Poland living in UK and learning Spanish with English speakers and Spanish . Please make more videos like this. Thank You.
I KNOW A FEW SPANISH WORDS BECAUSE I HAVE A HUSBAND THAT'S PORTUGUESE THAT'S WHY HE LIVES IN VENEZUELA WITH HIS FATHER AND I LEARN SOME MORE SPANISH BECAUSE I BEEN LISTENING TO DIFFERENT SPANISH SINGERS SONGS ON THEIR RUclips CHANNELS FOR MANY YEARS NOW THAT'S WHY AND NOW I'M LEARNING MORE NEW SPANISH WORDS FROM YOUR RUclips CHANNEL NOW TOO IT HELPED ME A LOT MUCHAS GRACIAS 🤗 Y GRACIAS POR AYUDANDO
Grammatically “Está” and “es” are both the verb To Be in English in the third person singular: He/She/It is. To understand it in English think semantically about the different meanings of the verb to be in these two sentences: She is here and She is a woman.
This is my first time but this is the best so far,I learned from this useful video.I'll definitely watch of all her videos.I'm also a first timer learning spanish.🥰🥰
¡ Hola Lilly! As my daily routines I will practice my spanish so I can speak it fluently . I want to learn spanish with different accents as well. I want an certificate in spanish so my goal study spanish as I'm doing it now
This is amazing. I've been "trying" to learn spanish for 6 years buy always give up because I can not find the EXACT translation of the words between the two languages. I will admit that English is difficult to learn because every vowel doesn't sound the same from word to word. It is hard to have to remember whether the word im trying to use is masculine or feminine before I can even speak the sentence. Im sure now that I found your channel it will all make a lot more sense. Gracias.
I'm at that beginner phase where I just stop myself from questioning and just absorb - but I'm curious, when Spanish speaking people learn a new word (even as adults, we sometimes come across them in any language, right?) how do you tell if it's feminine or masculine? Do even native Spanish people need to ask if the word you came across is feminine or masculine if it's the first time you heard it?
Hi, it’s difficult for kids learning the language but then they get better at it. I have a video explaining some rules: How to Use Spanish Nouns ruclips.net/video/ivYSJa2k3W8/видео.html I hope this helps 🤗
Thanks a lot! i'll take a look. Also, it was very rude of me - I want to say thanks for giving us beginners these lessons. Subscribed, and looking forward to your lessons!
Thanks for this method of learning Spanish. It would be very helpful if when you give the listener a turn to say it you allow for more time, repeating the phrase back slowly, also you quickly say very good which further defeats the last practice of the important part of the lesson of repeating back the phrase. With being a beginner right now it's much to fast.
I say Yo with the sound of Y and also ll, instead of a J sound. El idioma español tiene demasiadas reglas para mi, pero sigo intentando mejorar con mi español. Bien trabajo ❤
There's the really common accent which is the slanting up áéíóú. on smaller words it seperates the meaning, for example "bebé" means baby and "bebe" means he/she drinks or el(the) and él(he) or cómo(how) and como(like). And for larger words it can change the stress in the word like "máquina" would normally be pronounced maKEEna but theres an accent at the first part so it would MAkeena. It could also be for loan words like café or sofá. also i'm not a native spanish speaker but this is what i know. And if you're wondering about Ñ(ENyeh) that's not an accent it's a letter and it's pronounced "ny " like in año (ANyo)
Gracias! Luckily, after your kind advice and help, I found a video which explains the exact things you told me about. Here in South Africa there is almost no chance of learning such subtle differences. Thank you again.

Hola, we use ‘estar’ for more temporary conditions, since the weather can change, we would use estar. I actually have a video coming up tomorrow talking about this. Thanks 🤗
Hi! I’m learning spanish and i’m confused for the first part where it says el esta instead of es. Aren’t you supposed to use es instead of esta because es is used to describe qualities or a person or something?
The easier answer is that ‘es’ is used for a more permanent state, and ‘está’ is for a temporary state. Both ‘ser’ and ‘estar’ mean ‘to be’ and they can be used for different situations. In this case, ‘feliz’ can use es or está; either one works. But for ‘he is tall’ we would use ‘él es alto’ because that’s a more permanent state. I hope this helps 🤗

A question: with the different Spanish accents, it is easy to get confused. What should a beginner follow?
There's the really common accent which is the slanting up áéíóú. on smaller words it seperates the meaning, for example "bebé" means baby and "bebe" means he/she drinks or el(the) and él(he) or cómo(how) and como(like). also it can sometimes be used in verbs in the past tense like habló (he/she spoke) and hablo(i speak)
