Good luck to you and I admire you. I started learning Spanish when I was 28. I learned it but it would have been so much easier and fun had I started it at your age or even younger. The other languages I speak except for French I started AFTER Spanish so I was even older. If one is determined, one can accomplish one's goals despite obstacles. I started French when I was about 25, Portuguese when I was about 34, Italian and German when I was in my 60s. I'm still studying Italian and German. It helps that I lived in Spanish, French and Portuguese speaking countries. I can't believe I went through all of my schooling from Elementary through University without ever taking a language class. It was a back packing trip to Europe and being surrounded by multilingual people when I was 23 that convinced me to give learning a language a try. Now, at almost 70 it's my passion.
Good point! In Spain, *anciano* is more respectful, while *viejo* can feel rude for people. But in Colombia, it’s sometimes the opposite-*viejo* can be affectionate, and *anciano* might sound too formal. Context really makes a difference! 🙌
Thanks. this helps starting out. I listen while I am working on my computer, not always seeing the pictures. If it said the English word first instead of last, it would help get my brain ready for the Spanish equivalent. If I guess (in my mind) by trying to associate a similar sounding English word, that might stick in my mind instead of the true translation.
Great resource y muy util. I just noticed at 11 min 50 sec falso has a green tick 🤔💭 and verdadero true has a red background with a white cross is this correct? or is it a test to see if we are paying attention? Any how thank you for the time and effort you have put in to do this. Muchismo gracias.
Where I've traveled they say "pueblo" for small town. I have never heard "aldea". Is that a really really really small town? And I've seen "ingreso" more often than "entrada". Nothing in Spanish is easy.
Also, 'una entrada' for an entrance. I notice this says 'extraño' for strange, whereas they usually say 'raro' in Spain. I'm in the UK, so go to Spain rathervthan Mexico. It seems that most Spanish lessons on YT are for Mexican Spanish, which makes sense as it's an American site.
Tak, masz rację, wyraziłam się nieprecyzyjnie, miałam na myśli ,że po lewej stronie falso powinno być oznaczone"x" a po prawej verdadero "v". Greetings from Poland

This is valuable to me because, though I know the words, hearing the exact proper pronunciation is super important.
I would use anciano instead of viejo for old. In Spain at least, viejo can be seen as rude if used for a person.
Good point! In Spain, *anciano* is more respectful, while *viejo* can feel rude for people. But in Colombia, it’s sometimes the opposite-*viejo* can be affectionate, and *anciano* might sound too formal. Context really makes a difference! 🙌

Some of the graphics don't make sense, especially the 'true and false' - these are completely opposite to their meanings.
