Debit card purchases in the US are not covered against fraud, even if there's a Visa/Mastercard logo on your debit card.

I think some people actually dislike videos to show support that they're disliking the reason behind the video.
Great vid. This is happening all over. Same here in the US. The old saying “if it’s to good to be true” we’ll we all know the rest. Always buy from trusted sellers, trusted sites as you stated. Again great vid and every time we see post like this we should repost it immediately letting our honest RCers it’s a scam! Thanks again.
Appreciate vids like this from you man. Its nice of you to give a damn about the rest of us. We all want deals and cheaper cars, but not enough to get ripped off for them.
Shows your honour, that you chose to make this video, given that you have such a varied audience, from youngsters that may be asking parents to buy things for birthday or christmas, to partners who are looking to get a surprise gift for their loved one. You don't want anyone to loose out.
Aaron has done videos about scammers using his image on stuff, Kevin i believe has also.
The fact the scammers are upping their game to going straight for credit/debit cards is indicative.
Much respect brother for voicing this and not simply going, 'their not using my image, not my problem' which other who have a voice might have taken !
I would never buy from any ad on Facebook whatsoever. They’re all a scam.

Yea here in Ontario, Canada I have a Debit card that you can use as a Visa/credit card so I would NEVER risk my info on some bunk looking website 👍 Great video Tomley help get the word out about these scams!

This advice is not just useful for RC's. It applies to all shady purchases. Thanks mate. Also you can get temporary cards from some banking apps if you suspect anything and they don't have paypal as a payment option. Stay Safe bois

I intentionally bought something like this a few years ago, for $60... It was through Paypal so as soon as I got the stupid toy, I got around to report to Paypal and since the seller did not even respond to their inquiry, I got the money back (even better, since the exchange from $ made it so that I got back more money actually). At least I got a toy to play around with (it's still fun to bash around) for free.

I have been telling people to stop sending me shares ffg or crap like this. Another reason I despise FB. These scams are getting more and more frequent.
Yeah, it a shame! Same with band merchandise! I once reported a big, professional looking ripp-off of Hawkwind T-shirts to FB (after the band had confirmed the fraud to me), but FB answered: "There is nothing wrong with this...". Tsss ...

I have seen some of those same scams and I have been taken by a couple and I have learned my lesson well. Also we do have debit cards in the United States and we have had them for a long time.

A large amount of us in the US still use debit cards! I have both but use debit 99% of the time
I wasn’t sure… I never hear the term ‘debit card’ from the US
My advice is to report every single ad you see on FB as a Scam or Misleading.
99% of them are scams and if we all bulk report these ads eventually it will
force facebook to do something to vet these ads because if we report them all
in bulk they will be taken down. Unless it's from a brand name I know, they all
get reported.

I won't buy anything through Facebook. It's simple why they allow it: they make money on the ads. They don't care about you, you aren't a customer, you are a product.
Glad you dothis I bin telling my old lady to watch out for this shit on Facebook she ordered a nice sweater that was supposed to go down to her knees but what she thought was a little kids sweater and it was almost a hundred bucks us needless to say she wasn't happy and I had warned her not to do it just because I seen your vids and others about that stuff on Facebook

Yep, we have debt cards in the us. Learned a long time ago if they don't take pay pal or visa( have fraud protection for cases like this) I don't buy it. I would rather pay a few $ more and support my lhs.
Yes Tom me and my mate tried one coz it was about $45 dollars for what it was advertising which was a 144001 and we got a tiny little car that you put 2AAA batteries in and yes all 4 wheels turned but no controller or 144001??🙈 We thought it was too good to be true and low and behold it was!! It was just an experiment and we lost £20-£25 each…we coped with that, but then next thing they were trying to take money for a £69 coffee machine from our banks!!! Luckily though the banks spotted it and refused the transaction 😰.Your spot on and why do FB let em advertise? There total cons and if it looks too good to be true? IT IS…🙈
This is exactly the issue I was saying… once they have your details, who knows what they’ll do!

And you get it all the time on your news feed the raminator and a few other adverts all together. Why do Facebook let them post em?? Coz if I say something wrong there taking my comment down and threatening to close my account!! Mad m8…..🤷♂️👎
One time I ordered a 200 dollar rc tank for 100. I received a twelve pack of paper masks!
Instagram are having the same ads to and even when you report them they don't do anything I just love commenting on the ads and telling them it's a scam and a con and they block me 🤣for telling others
In my country, debit card is also very common. But usually we use 2FA via SMS

I ordered an RC Car on Banggood once. It took 3 months to finally arrive. In the mean while I actually tried to cancel the order, however it was a big hassle with their guidelines, because it wasn’t clear how long you’d have to return it or if you could even cancel the order. I ended up writing an E-Mail, wich startet a pretty long chain of E-Mails, because it was never really clear what they meant. This just got boring, and in the meanwhile the RC Car came in the mail. I bought another one, wich is miles better anyways even though you can get it for the same price. So the Banggood car just kinda sits In my garage until a few of my friends come over and want to have a go too.

Around April this year I was on shpock and one there adds was for a losi Rc1/5 trophy truck (cant remember what call it had a number 5 in the name ) anyway it was guaranteed to the max money back 1000% the losi rc car was about 2k worth for $99 so I bought 2 as it was guaranteed and iv never done anything like this so sod it I'll bite .
Get the tracking no next day it's on it's way. Then nothing for 2 weeks I claimed on pay pal got my money back as it was still pending ??? So 2 weeks later theres a large van outside my house UPS OMG they have arrived ...... opend the door to the UPS man holding a box just a bit bigger then size of pack of cigarettes. ?????????? Opend the box a pair of womans panties ha ha ha I needed them too as me and the mrs and kids wet ourselves as I was so excited to see this big truck outside to get a pair pants ha ha ha got it all on camera too .
So too good to be true it is ..
