WOW... even more great content than usual! I never believed the new MSFS would go long without a helicopter. :)

Microsoft always admitted they want to add helicopters. Back in September, the development team told me, personally, that they want to do helicopters but they want to do them properly. Therefore, they would not develop them right now and leave it for later.

Nice info but I wish somebody would get Austin M. to say what theyre thinking at this time regarding their competition over at MSF lol. You might want to let everybody know about pilot2atc program...automated and very well done!

I don't think Laminar will ever say what they are thinking about it. They have always done their own thing and never actually reacted or followed any other sim out there. It's been like that for over 20 years and, unless Austin has changed a lot over the years, I have the feeling he will keep on doing just that.
Right now they have the challenge of getting Vulkan to work flawlessly and I'm sure they have a roadmap that may or may not have been changed because of MSFS. Personally, I'm not worried about hearing what they plan on doing. I will be using the software that better adapts to my needs, regardless of what that may be. While I'm impressed with Microsoft's scenery, rendering engine and flight dynamics, if helicopters are not coming out as we are hoping and trust them to be, I will keep using X-Plane myself. Graphics were never a big deal for me anyway. I'm the guy that uses no or very low AA to get a bit more of performance, so looks is somewhat irrelevant to me. X-Plane suits me just fine on that field.
I have to take a look at pilot2atc. Thanks for the heads up.
