I love how N is both a very nervous, cautious, and adorable drone while also being incredibly capable. It's part of what makes him so easy to love as a character
the second I saw the murder drones on screen I thought to myself "these kind of give me gender envy" and then V and N really reinforced that (not J though, sorry J you do NOT fit my gender goals)

Notice how Absolute Solver is capable of both obvious holograms and almost lifelike ones? Its use of it is really clever. It sets the bar low with its crappy illusions that's easy to see through to lower Uzi's guard and then use some high quality ones to divert her.
I do think that if a person trust another person more the Absolute Solver will try to put more effort in the holograms now im not too sure about the crime scene but maybe it was just a better allusion to lure in more material.
I think V, J, V were worker drones like everybot else. And it's the AutoSolver who took these them over and programmed to think they are dissembly drones sent by humans to get rid of worker drones so then AutoSolver can convert their parts to its puppets. And AutoSolver is the actual runaway AI from human laboratories.
11:03 Not enough people talk about how terrifying this one shot is. N firing a missile into the darkness, giving us a quick flash of a giant living mechanism creaking all around them. What an awesome shot.
I love how idiotic majority of the characters are, but also how they take advantage of each others idiocy. It’s like a constant loop of humor and intelligence, and I love it.
Most shows that feature comedy and horror elements tend to overdo the comedy and dilute the horror or fall into overused tropes. This episode effortlessly threads the needle. Funny when it needs to be but creepy as hell. The bit where they fire the flare and you get that momentary glimpse of just how big this thing is was a wonderfully scary moment!
You spent hours downloading crime detective software, You spent hours for this moment, You head to the crime scene, you have you're favorate mug, you ask you're co-worker about those rpints, he's voice sounds distorted and stops wierdly at the end, you watch them all vanish, then you realise. You're screwd
Ehhhh... Yeah but not really? I Felt like The Beginning Scene or really the "Shadow" Of the Creature later on showing how TRULY large it is, Y'know somewhat More Immensely Scary?
For some reason, the fact that all of the characters act really strange kind of makes it seem more realistic. It feels like they're really just robots trying to mimic humans.
My thoughts exactly. The personalities displayed by the drones also seem like the exact type of thing a manufacturer would build into sentient robots to keep them from rebelling.
I do wonder if having a door installed on your face would be practical or not for Murder/Worker Drones. On one hand, you could fix any problems with your head, but on the other hand, your face would be opening all the time if you face door broke. 🤔 Please share your thoughts.
This episode set the terrifying precedent that anything at any time could be fake. On top of that, it will either be incredibly obvious or practically impossible to tell apart from reality.
@Frogger not gonna lie, this episode really confused me, given how consistent the first one was from what I remember. It seems they were trying to throw out a bunch of story stuff without explaining too much to avoid ruining the mystery, but it ended up really confusing, at least for me.
I think N and Uzi's relationship will be a key part of the story since Uzi is the first person to actually be nice to N and after she asks what the murder drones actually are, he's scared to tell her.
@Simon Pritchard I don't think he is scared to tell her, I think he is just as, if not, more confused on what he is, because at the end of the episode, you can see that N is not sure of what's going on or what he should do
That's a pretty good point, it would also make more sense for N to know as much as the audience about their origins, so that later on, whoever the antagonist is can reveal it in a big, magnum opus or something. 👍
This is the comment that made the cogs turn in my head, but also Derpy Pickaxes reply also is a good idea, so maybe N knows and is afraid to tell her or he is having an identity crisis, but I think N and the other murder drones are like cyberneticly enhanced humans with a robot exterior, as seen that they do have a skeleton and organs. The company would do this to make sure they do not disobey the company like the worker bots.
8:12 I genuinely cannot with N’s face right then, for a Murder Drone, he’s surprisingly adorable. And no, I never expected I would say that in my lifetime.
I love that N brutally murdering people is treated like a four year old who snuck into the cookie jar. "Alright, just don't do it again!" They even incorporated the poorly drawn apology card!
Several things I took away from this episode: 1. N,V, and J were all once regular worker drones and worked at the same mansion before becoming Murder Drones. 2. N was the pilot but something was done to his memories to make him forget how to fly the ship and how to land. Likely to prevent something like what Uzi is trying to do from happening. 3. Murder Drones seem to be cyborgs of a kind, since that core was definitely covered in flesh of some kind and it was growing both flesh and bone, then assimilating it with machinery. They also appear to be a host to these cores since the core referred to J as their vessel 4. Both Uzi and Dolly have the same symbol appearing on their screens and are both developing telekinesis of some kind. As well as what appears to be a taste for worker drone oil (wasn't shown in this episode but in the teaser we can see Uzi staring intently at some oil on her hand). 5. J most likely killed Uzi's mother, given that her core was able to create a hologram of her. 6. Not even Murder Drones are fully aware of what they are or what they are truly capable of since N was genuinely terrified at what was inside of J.
Didn't pick up on the part about J having killed Uzi's mother, but that totally makes sense. I was also wondering about why N had a dream about being a butler, it makes sense that that would be a memory. My guess? Absolute Solver is some form of amalgam of human consciousness and semi-organic nanomachines and might actually be present (but largely inactive) in the entire drone population. It might be how the drones became sapient to start with.
The hologram was shown holding a small "baby" Uzi. So, Jay either absorbed the memories of Uzi's mum or is Uzi's mum. Also, for a moment, both baby Uzi and Uzi's mother had the Absolute Solver eye. This is theorised to mean both are become D.Drones, but in this case, Uzi's mother IS already a D.Drone.
Didn’t expect to get so invested. N is the best character. And I love him and Uzi’s dynamic together. No wonder he gets a “sorry I murdered several people” pass. XD Honestly the card scene was priceless, and how so many of the drones are stupid “so of course he gets forgiven” just works.
I love the juxtaposition between present and past V. In the flashback she's polite, sweet, and perhaps even a little shy. Then it immediately cuts to present day V who's openly antagonizing, intimating, and hissing at people.
V was the most innocent in the flashback, Uzi hinted that they’re reprogrammed, in the first episode when V was introduced she remarks how she still feels nothing along with blinking of a confused face. Best bet is that she rejected an initial reprogramming and in return she lost her mind to additional reprogramming attempts.
The telekinetic girl I’m guessing is one of the reasons the disassembly bots are there and Uzi has some of that power. Probably a building experiment gone wrong and the people grew scared and are trying to erase something they perceive as a threat to them.I also feel like few, if any, of the robots there know of this.
i wonder if that "where's proof of your inocent backstory?" question will come back. like, we don't know how much time passed between all organic life dying on that planet and the murderbots coming over, so maybe Uzi is too young to remember it actually happening. it could be in interesting theme about cycles ov violence or something. maybe a single robot went rogue and killed the humans and that robot is still alive somewhere, to have a big moral confrontation with Uzi at the end or something

6:35 If you look at N, you see he immediately gets concerned when Thad mentions the fact that J's body "crawled" away. Probably got dragged by J's AbsoluteSolver (the abomination trying to repair J), just like it dragged the worker's arm at 7:30. Now does that means N knew this could have happened? If that's the case, then he knows more about AbsoluteSolver than we do? 2 episodes in and there's already a lot to unpack here. I sure hope episode 3 will bring some answers, though I expect answering some questions might create even more. I seriously love the mysterious part of this series. Keep it up for the next episodes, Glitch! Remember: No hurry.
you are on to something, I would think that moment in the past was his memories as a normal bot, and he knows what his kind is capable of. But he also knows how badly the AbsoluteSolver is so he took Uzi's side because he doesn't want to cause the thing with the AbsoluteSolver because he witnessed what it can do.
I think you may be reading into it too much. Obviously its concerning when J, who they presumably killed, CRAWLED AWAY. Of course, that is to say, N definitely is very sus, but I think he's going to find out just as much as Uzi is going to find out about their existences.
@@Eloux I don't think N is intentionally aware of a lot of these things. It appears that he used to be a "butler" bot before being repurposed, as his repressed memories show. He also appeared to be way more competent, considering how he easily kept the glasses on his little glass holding thing. I'm willing to bet that he went through a lot of changes that "dumbed" him down.
If anyone is complaining about how short this is, keep in mind animations like this take a long time, I've seen people take months to do a 3 minute animation, because of how detailed it was, and detail for animations is extremely time consuming, so a 17 minute animation is still pretty impressive considering how detailed it is.
the solver definitely needed an audience of drones who didn't care that they would die too in that moment and it would be peak cinema for not just us but them
I dont tend to find a lot of modern horror disturbing, but the way this series plays with familar concepts in horror and twists them to no end is fascinating. Excelent job guys!

Love how N's dream (and his waking posture) further ties into the idea that the disassembly drones are robo-vampires. I remember someone who worked on this series said something along the lines of "the more we learn about the murder drones, the more disgusted we'll be with the people who sent them."

The level of mindfuckery in the holograms was so spine chilling and perfect IMO, especially the entire crime scene disappearing I straight up held my breath.
I think what got to me was when N shot a missile up to see what was grabbing the jock-bot's leg (sorry, I forget his name) and it was just a mass of silent, slithering centipede parts.

seeing what happened to J's corpse in this episode, it makes sense now why she tried to kill N with a slow-uploading virus instead of just like, stabbing him. That virus is probably the only safe way to kill a murder drone if you don't want them going all absolutesolver.exe on your ass
N regenerated his head after it got blown off, while J was out instantly and absolute absolver had to take over, so safe to say he is more durable than atleast J . Just beating or stabbing him to death might have taken to long and that is not accounting for when he decides to retaliate. He could be the most advanced out of the team but held back by being socially awkward
or because it bypasses regeneration. N recovered instantly from having his head blown off and I guess the main body is their weak spot because J didn't instantly recover from getting shot and instead had to activate their last resort.
@@Psychoangel-d23 Consider that while N "only" got his head shot off, J looks like she lost her entire torso. Seems like their chest (heart? winky face) is a weakpoint.

For real, this reminds me of the complete mess of intrigue bits drizzled all over the place that was the last episode of Intercession Cube, except this time he's working with like an actual group of people provably capable of providing the resources to complete a project eventually. It's a revolution man. I don't even care how long it takes, just the fact that this is definitely going to go **somewhere** has me hyped.
Uzi is shocked by the Murder Drones way of coming back. But she plans to kill all humans, and looks excited doing it. The morality in this show is so weird but so enjoyable.

I have a strange feeling that she will become a Murder Drone by the end of the Season, that weird Symbol and her Purple eyes flashing yellow (the color of the Murder Drones) are give aways, N's dream is probably his memories before he became a Murder Drone.
Doing it at the same time makes me dislike it and be more interested in the show. It just confuses me, makes me hate it. But for some reason, i'm also hype for it
Nothing i can say about 10:40 other than, wow. One of my favorite things in those kinds of scenes is the tense quiet, and the reveal, my god. Something about the short calm before the loud creaking and the silhouette of the monster writhing around, man. I LOVE reveals like that, simple, but underrated. I'm so in love with this series already.

Since she's most likely only ever been in the manor and outdoors, entering a society where everything is just a continuation of human life, but for the worker drones, seeing an eerie cryo room and hearing all the stigma dentist's get from humans, it makes sense why'd she choose "Tad" at the Dentist office.
@@lil_melon30 Absolute Solver is an auto-run program to collect matter, which is what Cyn used to turn into the Eldritch robot horror we saw in Ep.2 and 5. Uzi and Doll also use that program (Uzi in Ep.4 absorbed organic matter and created that goop monster and Doll in Ep.3 multipled knives to throw at Uzi/N). Uzi brings it up to N in Ep.2, asking if that's how Disassembly drones regenerate, because "Matter has to come from somewhere." (Edit) Wanted to add that, some inspiration, was taken from Internecion Cube, which was a "Practice project" Liam had worked on for a period of time. Ex: Robot/Drone/Cube design, rogue AI, concept of the collection of/morphing of matter, etc. Alot of visual design from that series also used (Part 2 of Interneccion Cube: Humans are black figures with highlighted eyes, Xs over eyes, blah blah blah I've already been rambling so Imma leave it there)

I love how the side characters are getting a bit fleshed out too. But also…what’s up with Foreign Girl? 🤔 Edit: LMAOO I JUST REALIZED IN ONE OF THE TEACHER’S FLASHBACK SCENES THE PRESENTATION SHOWS CAPTCHAS WITH MESSAGES LIKE “IM GONNA THROW UP” BECAUSE ITS A CAPTCHA AND THEYRE ROBOTS LMAOOO Edit 2, Electric Boogaloo: Okay, I get it, their names are Lizzy and Doll! 😅 Also another thing I noticed: one of the notes pinned to Uzi's ceiling says "[A capital letter, one of the murder drones, I can't tell what letter though, it's covered by string] is stupid...AND ALSO DUMB!" and another says "DON'T TRUST ANYBODY! That's why I don't have any friends." Edit 3, Europe's Most Wanted: Someone with a channel name I will not attempt to type told me that the capital letter i couldn't decode was just the end of g in "Dying", as in "Dying is stupid and also dumb", Uzi used that phrase in her presentation from the pilot episode. So yea! Since this is getting attention, I think I'll start updating this comment with other Easter eggs and lore, so reply if you find something neat 😺

As terrible of a father as Khan is, he seems to recognize that something serious happened between Uzi banishing herself and running up to him for a hug. Gotta give him just a *little* credit for that.
I love that Khan isn’t a one dimensional horrible father and actually has some depth Amazing character writing everyone character is interesting in their own way
You can actually sorta tell Uzi is Khan's daughter better in this episode in the way he threatened the teacher for saying Uzi's programming was damaged
The fact this is completely different than I and most of us would have guessed the second episode would be speaks volumes of how incredibly crazy and unique the writing is. From tech to almost cyber lovecraftian
The energy is what I love from Vickers work everyone has a odd aura around them when they are comedic or something else the girls in the class an the obliviousness in everything of the workers are examples
That's Liam's work for you. He does twists and tension quite well, even in spite of the humor. Pretty sure his stuff wouldn't be allowed on youtube anymore if he still went all in.
As a fan of biomancery this looks really cool to me the murder drones most likely have something organic in them specifically human in the fact that that hand had finger nails makes me think of some sort or "repopulation protocole" where after the planet is made habitable and the threat removed the murder drones could split up using the remaining matter of the threat and to create robotic humanoids becoming less and les machine over time till a "generation" that is so little machine it's considered a human again What do you think?

I absolutely adore the more plot centered direction this episode took. Just about everything we thought we knew based on the pilot and the trailer just got thrown completely out the window and now we have a mysterious past for the murder drones, Uzi and Doll and I love it. Edit: Also after rewatching the pilot words cannot describe how much of an improvement this episode is. I thought the pilot was already misjudged for its tone and style of humour which I felt was exaggerated specifically for the pilot to give a slice of everything we could expect from the show as a whole and I’m glad to have been proven right. What I was not expecting was this massive jump in already beatiful animation, character models and environments.
This is literally everywhere and so all over the place, random things being established suddenly, I’m hoping the next one will be better but tbh this was a bit disappointing for 12 months of waiting
2:00 I love how Uzi was just casually hanging around with 2 drones that are literally DESIGNED for murder and not a single drop of oil spilled on the floor during the entire scene
so lemme get this straight, the disassembly drones we are introduced to in the first episode used to be butler drones, and something happened to them or they were repurposed to be the drones we see now? thats how i see it at least, cant wait to see the rest of the story unfold side note, anyone else notice how, despite episode 1 establishing that they repair themselves via weird liquid metal, this weird creature that one of the drones became is probably a result of TOO MUCH damage, even developing weird fleshy bits like ribs, flesh, and a human looking hand
The flesh part i think was because the area we see Uzi and N at the finale was Labeled Cryosleep and since we saw a skeleton in it that's probably how it found the flesh material Still horrifying it can just fuse mechanical with biological material

This was incredible. Like, in the first seven minutes it was already the most unhinged, high-quality animation I have ever seen, and then the rest of it somehow got even better. And, that ending hit so incredibly hard, it was honestly worth waiting eight months for
This show's humor is so weird to me. Like, on the one hand, it can get a bit grating and take me out of it with how self aware it is, but at the same time given the subject matter, it almost feels like a larger metajoke? And the actual plot is already popping questions that I can't wait to get answers to! Amazing.
So far I legitamately haven't laughed at anything which is a bad sign. However most of what I think was intended to be "humor" is really just normal things people say, so it isn't bad. It just isn't funny
another detail to take into account is they are robots so some level of their speech and so on is emulation. And you can get a taste for that roboty stuff. For example i could literally see something being typed into n's serach engine when he said 'morality' rather than 'moral'.
I can agree with that. First time i visit murder drones when RUclipsr started to react to it. Im always interested with this show, its friendly, and they all related to my personality. So yeah basically cooler than i thought
This story is an incredible story of science fiction since it bases the concepts off of theorized math concepts scientists observed in the universe. For example, the gun. It had so much energy compact into a single place that for a moment, it created something like a black hole before it released its energy.
Just came back to rewatch this, the funniest parts of this series are the things in the background. During the flashbacks in the parent teacher conference you can see on the board you can see pictures of “prove you’re not a robot” tests with captions like “I’M GONNA THROW UPPPPPPP WHATTTTT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL” sent me rolling
@@itssTeal it’s not the same for every show. Take Dragon prince s4 or One Punch man s2. They had 3-4 yrs of hiatus and the result was a story with too much characters/annoying subplots.

Most shows that feature comedy and horror elements tend to overdo the comedy and dilute the horror or fall into overused tropes. This episode effortlessly threads the needle. Funny when it needs to be but creepy as hell. The bit where they fire the flare and you get that momentary glimpse of just how big this thing is was a wonderfully scary moment!

I think N and Uzi's relationship will be a key part of the story since Uzi is the first person to actually be nice to N and after she asks what the murder drones actually
are, he's scared to tell her.
@Simon Pritchard I don't think he is scared to tell her, I think he is just as, if not, more confused on what he is, because at the end of the episode, you can see that N is not sure of what's going on or what he should do
That's a pretty good point, it would also make more sense for N to know as much as the audience about their origins, so that later on, whoever the antagonist is can reveal it in a big, magnum opus or something.

This is the comment that made the cogs turn in my head, but also Derpy Pickaxes reply also is a good idea, so maybe N knows and is afraid to tell her or he is having an identity crisis, but I think N and the other murder drones are like cyberneticly enhanced humans with a robot exterior, as seen that they do have a skeleton and organs. The company would do this to make sure they do not disobey the company like the worker bots.

Several things I took away from this episode:
1. N,V, and J were all once regular worker drones and worked at the same mansion before becoming Murder Drones.
2. N was the pilot but something was done to his memories to make him forget how to fly the ship and how to land. Likely to prevent something like what Uzi is trying to do from happening.
3. Murder Drones seem to be cyborgs of a kind, since that core was definitely covered in flesh of some kind and it was growing both flesh and bone, then assimilating it with machinery. They also appear to be a host to these cores since the core referred to J as their vessel
4. Both Uzi and Dolly have the same symbol appearing on their screens and are both developing telekinesis of some kind. As well as what appears to be a taste for worker drone oil (wasn't shown in this episode but in the teaser we can see Uzi staring intently at some oil on her hand).
5. J most likely killed Uzi's mother, given that her core was able to create a hologram of her.
6. Not even Murder Drones are fully aware of what they are or what they are truly capable of since N was genuinely terrified at what was inside of J.
That good reason you got there but the question is how come Dolly know how to use her ability of her but not Uzi that a question I want to know
Maybe the flesh was because since J was not able to regenerate from "thin air" she instead regenerated with human corpses flesh on the cryo room
THE LORE THICKENS!
Didn't pick up on the part about J having killed Uzi's mother, but that totally makes sense. I was also wondering about why N had a dream about being a butler, it makes sense that that would be a memory. My guess? Absolute Solver is some form of amalgam of human consciousness and semi-organic nanomachines and might actually be present (but largely inactive) in the entire drone population. It might be how the drones became sapient to start with.
The hologram was shown holding a small "baby" Uzi. So, Jay either absorbed the memories of Uzi's mum or is Uzi's mum.
Also, for a moment, both baby Uzi and Uzi's mother had the Absolute Solver eye. This is theorised to mean both are become D.Drones, but in this case, Uzi's mother IS already a D.Drone.
Didn’t expect to get so invested. N is the best character. And I love him and Uzi’s dynamic together. No wonder he gets a “sorry I murdered several people” pass. XD Honestly the card scene was priceless, and how so many of the drones are stupid “so of course he gets forgiven” just works.
N is a precious baby and deserves 2 B protected at all costs!!!

I love the juxtaposition between present and past V. In the flashback she's polite, sweet, and perhaps even a little shy. Then it immediately cuts to present day V who's openly antagonizing, intimating, and hissing at people.

V was the most innocent in the flashback, Uzi hinted that they’re reprogrammed, in the first episode when V was introduced she remarks how she still feels nothing along with blinking of a confused face. Best bet is that she rejected an initial reprogramming and in return she lost her mind to additional reprogramming attempts.

The telekinetic girl I’m guessing is one of the reasons the disassembly bots are there and Uzi has some of that power. Probably a building experiment gone wrong and the people grew scared and are trying to erase something they perceive as a threat to them.I also feel like few, if any, of the robots there know of this.
Kinda thought the telekinetic girl was Uzi's mom because purple hair but maybe? 💀 since that would be too easy to see.
i wonder if that "where's proof of your inocent backstory?" question will come back. like, we don't know how much time passed between all organic life dying on that planet and the murderbots coming over, so maybe Uzi is too young to remember it actually happening. it could be in interesting theme about cycles ov violence or something. maybe a single robot went rogue and killed the humans and that robot is still alive somewhere, to have a big moral confrontation with Uzi at the end or something

If you look at N, you see he immediately gets concerned when Thad mentions the fact that J's body "crawled" away. Probably got dragged by J's AbsoluteSolver (the abomination trying to repair J), just like it dragged the worker's arm at 7:30.
Now does that means N knew this could have happened? If that's the case, then he knows more about AbsoluteSolver than we do?
2 episodes in and there's already a lot to unpack here. I sure hope episode 3 will bring some answers, though I expect answering some questions might create even more.

you are on to something, I would think that moment in the past was his memories as a normal bot, and he knows what his kind is capable of. But he also knows how badly the AbsoluteSolver is so he took Uzi's side because he doesn't want to cause the thing with the AbsoluteSolver because he witnessed what it can do.
I think you may be reading into it too much. Obviously its concerning when J, who they presumably killed, CRAWLED AWAY. Of course, that is to say, N definitely is very sus, but I think he's going to find out just as much as Uzi is going to find out about their existences.
@@Eloux I don't think N is intentionally aware of a lot of these things. It appears that he used to be a "butler" bot before being repurposed, as his repressed memories show. He also appeared to be way more competent, considering how he easily kept the glasses on his little glass holding thing. I'm willing to bet that he went through a lot of changes that "dumbed" him down.

If anyone is complaining about how short this is, keep in mind animations like this take a long time, I've seen people take months to do a 3 minute animation, because of how detailed it was, and detail for animations is extremely time consuming, so a 17 minute animation is still pretty impressive considering how detailed it is.

N regenerated his head after it got blown off, while J was out instantly and absolute absolver had to take over, so safe to say he is more durable than atleast J . Just beating or stabbing him to death might have taken to long and that is not accounting for when he decides to retaliate. He could be the most advanced out of the team but held back by being socially awkward
In 1st episode on "reboot" screen when N's head was destroyed u can see that his AbsoluteSolver is blocked by administrator
or because it bypasses regeneration. N recovered instantly from having his head blown off and I guess the main body is their weak spot because J didn't instantly recover from getting shot and instead had to activate their last resort.

Nothing i can say about 10:40 other than, wow. One of my favorite things in those kinds of scenes is the tense quiet, and the reveal, my god. Something about the short calm before the loud creaking and the silhouette of the monster writhing around, man. I LOVE reveals like that, simple, but underrated. I'm so in love with this series already.

11:48 Love how when Cyn asks for a location, she's actually just trying to figure out what room she could possibly be in to make her act seem believable.
Since she's most likely only ever been in the manor and outdoors, entering a society where everything is just a continuation of human life, but for the worker drones, seeing an eerie cryo room and hearing all the stigma dentist's get from humans, it makes sense why'd she choose "Tad" at the Dentist office.
It wasn't Cyn, it was the actual solver voice, since the AbsoluteSolver is an auto-run program.
@@lil_melon30 Absolute Solver is an auto-run program to collect matter, which is what Cyn used to turn into the Eldritch robot horror we saw in Ep.2 and 5. Uzi and Doll also use that program (Uzi in Ep.4 absorbed organic matter and created that goop monster and Doll in Ep.3 multipled knives to throw at Uzi/N). Uzi brings it up to N in Ep.2, asking if that's how Disassembly drones regenerate, because "Matter has to come from somewhere."
(Edit) Wanted to add that, some inspiration, was taken from Internecion Cube, which was a "Practice project" Liam had worked on for a period of time. Ex: Robot/Drone/Cube design, rogue AI, concept of the collection of/morphing of matter, etc. Alot of visual design from that series also used (Part 2 of Interneccion Cube: Humans are black figures with highlighted eyes, Xs over eyes, blah blah blah I've already been rambling so Imma leave it there)
Trust me, I've watched this series way too many times for my own good. I have a sibling who is, also, obsessed with it lmao

I love how the side characters are getting a bit fleshed out too. Uzi’s dad learning to appreciate his daughter more, Thad being eternally grateful Uzi saved his life, Cat Ears Girl being a dork narc as usual, and the Teacher’s idgaf attitude. But also…what’s up with Foreign Girl? 🤔

Edit 3, Europe's Most Wanted: Someone with a channel name I will not attempt to type told me that the capital letter i couldn't decode was just the end of g in "Dying", as in "Dying is stupid and also dumb", Uzi used that phrase in her presentation from the pilot episode. So yea! Since this is getting attention, I think I'll start updating this comment with other Easter eggs and lore, so reply if you find something neat 😺

As terrible of a father as Khan is, he seems to recognize that something serious happened between Uzi banishing herself and running up to him for a hug. Gotta give him just a *little* credit for that.
There’s real skill needed to make just a bunch of robots murdering eachother interesting. Yet this show is so good!

Amazing character writing everyone character is interesting in their own way
these characters have more depth than the mariana trench
You can actually sorta tell Uzi is Khan's daughter better in this episode in the way he threatened the teacher for saying Uzi's programming was damaged
They act sorta the same when they are mad
Also who doesn't like the fact that the teacher is playing solitaire during the conference

That's Liam's work for you. He does twists and tension quite well, even in spite of the humor. Pretty sure his stuff wouldn't be allowed on youtube anymore if he still went all in.

As a fan of biomancery this looks really cool to me the murder drones most likely have something organic in them specifically human in the fact that that hand had finger nails makes me think of some sort or "repopulation protocole" where after the planet is made habitable and the threat removed the murder drones could split up using the remaining matter of the threat and to create robotic humanoids becoming less and les machine over time till a "generation" that is so little machine it's considered a human again

I absolutely adore the more plot centered direction this episode took. Just about everything we thought we knew based on the pilot and the trailer just got thrown completely out the window and now we have a mysterious past for the murder drones, Uzi and Doll and I love it.
Edit: Also after rewatching the pilot words cannot describe how much of an improvement this episode is. I thought the pilot was already misjudged for its tone and style of humour which I felt was exaggerated specifically for the pilot to give a slice of everything we could expect from the show as a whole and I’m glad to have been proven right. What I was not expecting was this massive jump in already beatiful animation, character models and environments.

so lemme get this straight, the disassembly drones we are introduced to in the first episode used to be butler drones, and something happened to them or they were repurposed to be the drones we see now? thats how i see it at least, cant wait to see the rest of the story unfold
side note, anyone else notice how, despite episode 1 establishing that they repair themselves via weird liquid metal, this weird creature that one of the drones became is probably a result of TOO MUCH damage, even developing weird fleshy bits like ribs, flesh, and a human looking hand
I would like to add that it also made claws too. This shows that it has memory of biological life, as it didnt just make random bits.

The flesh part i think was because the area we see Uzi and N at the finale was Labeled Cryosleep and since we saw a skeleton in it that's probably how it found the flesh material

This show's humor is so weird to me. Like, on the one hand, it can get a bit grating and take me out of it with how self aware it is, but at the same time given the subject matter, it almost feels like a larger metajoke? And the actual plot is already popping questions that I can't wait to get answers to! Amazing.
That's liam for ya, its an acquired taste, but a welcome one. I'm sure alot of it will smoothen out as the show progresses

I have a theory that Liam has a crippling meme addiction.
So far I legitamately haven't laughed at anything which is a bad sign. However most of what I think was intended to be "humor" is really just normal things people say, so it isn't bad. It just isn't funny
another detail to take into account is they are robots so some level of their speech and so on is emulation. And you can get a taste for that roboty stuff.
For example i could literally see something being typed into n's serach engine when he said 'morality' rather than 'moral'.

I can agree with that. First time i visit murder drones when RUclipsr started to react to it. Im always interested with this show, its friendly, and they all related to my personality. So yeah basically cooler than i thought
This story is an incredible story of science fiction since it bases the concepts off of theorized math concepts scientists observed in the universe. For example, the gun. It had so much energy compact into a single place that for a moment, it created something like a black hole before it released its energy.
It's just 2nd episode, so let them show themselves!
Just came back to rewatch this, the funniest parts of this series are the things in the background. During the flashbacks in the parent teacher conference you can see on the board you can see pictures of “prove you’re not a robot” tests with captions like “I’M GONNA THROW UPPPPPPP WHATTTTT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL” sent me rolling

@@itssTeal it’s not the same for every show. Take Dragon prince s4 or One Punch man s2. They had 3-4 yrs of hiatus and the result was a story with too much characters/annoying subplots.
