Hi! They said "Thank you là "Cảm ơn" in Vietnamese" Which means Thank you is "Thank you" in Vietnamese.. So Là is "is" là is a form of "ser" (to be)
The money looks useless and very hard....
We spend at least a month in Hoi An. Our favorite city.
We have been going to Vietnam for over 25 years and love it all.
Enjoy the food and people.
Such a great place! Where are you from?
@@Travelwithchris Portland Oregon
Ty, i'm Vietnamese, i glad that you enjoy your trip, i hope y'all come back to visit Việt Nam someday
Asking a Vietnamese restaurant if they have spring rolls is like asking a Mexican restaurant if they have tacos 🌮! 😂
😂😂😂😂
It’s summer rolls. Not spring rolls… 🙈
I like how you show us the local area in detail rather than just travelling to as many places as you can and not really delving deep into the local culture
Beautiful Vietnam 🇻🇳 from the philippines 🇵🇭 ❤ 🇻🇳
Yes!!! I hope to visit your country soon also!
@@Travelwithchris thank you 😊
Thanks Philippines from Vietnam ♥️🇵🇭
@@KDuhaonhg333 your welcome
Another great vlog. Brilliant 👏. Many thanks. I've never been to 🇻🇳 Vietnam. Those spring rolls looked delicious 😋 😍

Really good content lately Chris!😊 loving this trip
Thanks so much for the support ❤️🙏🏻
An Asian conical hat is an accessory that runs by many names across both Asian and Western culture. The Vietnamese name is nón lá
Man I love Vietnamese coffee I can only imagine how it taste there lol those spring rolls looked bomb too 😮💨
I Have Been There A Month Ago It Was Godododood Good U Should Go For Holiday
Thank you for visiting my country! You did amazing videos!!!!👏🏻 You are very friendly with people around you . You are welcome every where you go .
I am also from California!!
A bit more special conical hat = nón lá is the 1 with poem or scenery embedded between the layers of the hat. You look into the hat, have it against the sun so you can see. This is the most widely use in Vietnam (different conical shape than other southeast Asian countries).
There is also a different traditional har from the North, a flat and wider round shape.
🙂 Gỏi cuốn = spring roll accompanies with hoisin sauce, crusted peanut, fried shallots & garlic.
Love it! I am going at the end of the year. What tips can you give me?
You mentioned going to the tunnels, if so check out the War Remnants Museum. We spent 2/3 hours there it was excellent
😂😂 I went there in 2019 and told my relatives about it… I got yelled at for going to Viet Chong’s history 🫠😂😂
I definitely visited it! Such an interesting museum!
@@00blankpages 😂
chris that food store where u bought the rice paper rolls in Ben Thanh market is my usual spot I eat at when I’m in vn!
That lady usually serves me as well!
Wow that is amazing! Next time you visit share this video with her! 😂😂 I appreciate your support!
@@Travelwithchris certainly will!!
Keep up great work mate👍
You can get those spring rolls for 20k in many places outside D1 but this is Ben Thanh so everything costs more. Try places outside D1 like Binh Thanh or D3
I will have to look out for that!
@@Travelwithchris try to get to ngo tat to street in Binh Thanh district if you can. Tons of local foods for cheap. It’s 10 mins ride from D1
You should go to Ho Thi Ky night food market in district 10, ho chi minh city. So many delicious food and drinks with very affordable, super cheap price under 1 or 2 USD.
if these "spring rolls" were the type you were looking for, it's actually mainly known as fresh rolls. The true name is goi cuon. pronounced like guh + aussie accent "oi" and coon
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam:
Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not runs and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid of and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.
Great video bro. Keep em coming. Spring rolls looked so freakin good!
Thank you a lot bro! They were super good man!
Nice cool video 👏🏽 loved the spring roll makers sign language for 🌅 , that was 🥰 and the smiling faces of the locals who saw themselves in your shot 🤭 , was wondering if they put mint in their spring roll like here in Long Beach?
Amazing video, love your perspectives of the city. Thanks for sharing ☀️
Great video mate. I just arrived in hcm a few days ago as well. Any other places you planning to visit?
Spring Roll in Vietnamese it’s called ( goi cuon ) and thank you it’s called ( cam on)
Those hat are called "nón lá" meaning leaf hat. These are usually are popular in the south while in the north "Nón quai thao" are traditonal worn by woman traditionally during the festival season.
Welcome to Vietnam, Chris.
Im hooked on watching your video. You’re such a cool guy 😎❤️
Thanks so much! I appreciate you!
Non la translates simply as 'conical hat' but they are also known as coolie hats, leaf hat, oriental hat or rice hats. The hats are worn to protect the wearer from both the sun and rain and can also be used as a cooling fan or a makeshift basket for carrying things.
I love your videos, they’re interesting and you’re kind which mdd sad les you enjoyable to watch. Great video I would love to go to Vietnam’s
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words!
Really i am enjoying your videos and now i am planning for a trip ........cheers
Hi Chris, thx for the video. You can get a ride from the airport using to transport services in Airport. Talk to theirs rep at the airport counter, they will give you the price and take you to your hotel. Don't take taxi outside the airport. Or using Grab service.
Cheaper?
Stumbled on this channel and dude, you are a nice guy my friend.
Man thanks so much for the kind words! Means a lot to me!
ive been living in vn for 3 years. you should see da lat. its a 5 hour drive or 1 hour flight.. the food and view is a vibe. very cheap too.. more cheaper than sg
Coffee is everywhere in Vietnam because Vietnam is the 2nd largest coffee exporter in the world, behind Brazil.
Hey Chris!!!! Im going to Vietnam in 3 weeks and I’m going to look for some shoes, is it possible for you to look for some Yeezys or shoes and all the sizes they have especially us 12!!! Thanks so much love the videos
Thank you for another nice Video. You’re so kind and you got a warm voice I think you are a very nice person.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the kind words!
Hey Chris, hope you're enjoying Vietnam! If you plan to go further north, I'd recommend checking out Na Trang on the coast and Sapa up north! Did you try the Vietnamese drip coffee yet?
I love nha trang, but too many russians there, pre covid..
@@murraywards2645 They used to have fun beach parties and a few entertaining bars along the beach from what I can remember.
@@murraywards2645 hehehe you are right. Too many Russians. No fun
Yeah, before the US lift the sanction, Russian is the one support our economic. I used to have few Rusian friend when I was kid.
Gladys is too cute after her bite of spring roll dance😂
One suggestion is an ASMR beard trim and haircut video would be cool. If you check youtube many of those videos have 1,000,000 plus views. ASMR videos have exploded in popularity. I love videos like this where you just show us around and show us how the money look because I'm flying out to Bangkok on Oct. 20th, but you asked for suggestions on other things you can do while in HoChiMinh so that would be mine.
I'm happy watching all your videos bro. ❤️❤️❤️
You are super cool. Thanks for your hard work showing us all around. I have already subscribed to your channel. 🙂❤️👍
Just a request. It helps many like me if you can show Where you stay in Vietnam or any other destinations in future. May be if you show that as well. Like how much hostel or hotels and how much it may costs etc. It may be helpful for solo travelers like you to move forward like me to step outside and travel 🙂
Thanks so much for the kind words! Appreciate the support!

I hope so also! That will be cool!
My man Chris all over SE Asia!! Living the dream!!
Thanks so much bro! Trying my best! You have to come out here bro!
Best to take Vinasun or Mai Linh taxi. Currently over the past number of months there has been a lot of issues with taxi’s at the airport. Best to walk outside the airport to the main road (5 - 7mins) and hail one of the above taxi’s from there or use the app Grab.
You should try Bun Bo Hue noodle soup Chris. 1 of my favorite dish
Thanks for sharing, love to see VietNam again
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Awesome Chris always enjoy your content
for everyone's information...don't double dip. ask for a spoon and scoop out the sauce. put it in the roll. thanks for the vid

Let try Bánh Mì , milk coffee, bún bò, bún riêu, bún thịt nướng, pancake bro. Its cooked well in Ho Chi Minh city. You can look for in foody. It recommends some places for you.

Dude, if you wanted authentic VN food, then try 'banh xeo' or 'banh cuon.' I guarantee that those two will blow your mind.
Try bun cha ha noi
In this market, you can sit at any one spot and order from other spots. They'll get them for you.

I'm one of the tour guide in Saigon. I highly recommend you to try one of the best coffee in here is "Salted Coffee"
Which company do you work with? I am thinking of heading to Saigon in Dec!
It's OXO travel, hochiminhfoodtours sir
@@tronghuunguyendoan5747 okay I’ll look it up thank you (:
I think the people are friendly because you’re very friendly. In my opinion the Americans and Australians are the most friendly people. I found out Grab taxi and Mai Linh taxi are the most trustworthy. When you’re at the airport you have to be careful of scammers who try to impersonate these companies. Thank you for sharing with us your experience.
Thanks so much Kim! I appreciate the kind words! 🙏🏻
