Hi Chris I just came back from Saigon a few days ago, but when I was in Vietnam I stayed mostly in Can Tho. Went there for work. Yes I’ve actually taken the motorcycles (not via Grab, but asking around via google translate), I’ve also taken the sleeping bus from Can Tho to Saigon. Friends told me it was kinda crazy for me to do all that in a foreign country which was my first time visiting, but I found those experiences priceless… I’ve booked a capsule room while I was in Saigon, I also took videos while on the motorcycle 😂 happy to report no snatch thiefs while I was there…

I was in Vietnam (Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Ha Long Bay) a couple weeks ago. Stayed in a house for 1 week and resorts in different cities for another. I love watching your videos since it shows parts of Vietnam that I missed. I loled when you called the bidets butt pistols. Those things were everywhere out there. Going to use that from now on.
When I visit HCMC I would love these Capsule Hotel.. they safe and a cheap way to sleep as I mostly roam around the city during the day. You only need a bed to sleep at night and I don't care for all that space and price you pay for a room as a single guy. In the past these place only cost $5-10 but I guess price when since C-19 virus. The new norm is probably $15-25 price range now.. This capsule hotel look amazing!
I am very pleased to hear that you are coming to Vietnam. If you have a chance, I think you should go to southern provinces such as Can Tho( floated market), Kien Giang( Phu Quoc island), to experience the culture, life and people here.
Our last trip to Saigon was 2015 and we are coming back in November. The chaotic traffic was a culture shock. We are skilled drivers back in the States but wouldn't dare rent a scooter on our own. Most of our transportation were in a vehicle. However, we had one opportunity ride as passengers on a motorbike and it was so much fun. You are adventurous in all your videos. Appreciate how you're courteous to everyone you encounter.
Riding is easy there, the traffic is slow and you just need to go with it and do make any sudden directions changes. It looks a lot worse than it really is
Hey Chris I only discovered your Channel about 3 weeks ago so I'm watching your Videos backwards from newest to oldest ! I was just back from HCMC on 13 Sept and Yes Your right Vietnam is going through changes because I was here in 2019 before all countries started shutting down 1 by 1 in early 2020 !!! Singapore my home has close ties cooperation with the Vietnamese Government and I see that even at the Airport they have become more stringent on arrival checks n departures following rules similar to Singapore! Vietnam is trying to pick up on its economy so its open to Asean Countries or even the US helping it to expedite its growing economy!!! So yes the government wants to modernise Vietnam as quickly as possible but it can only go as far as the people's habits, attitudes towards change which usually takes longer than say changing the structure of roads, highways etc...But the Vietnamese people are humble so I believe they will go far as long they're open to changes continually all the time! I love Vietnam will be back for more to come ❤️...Thanks Chris !!!

It's $10, I'm staying there at the moment. There is a pretty restaurant downstairs and the next door is Family Mart store where you can buy foods, toiletries, hot snacks and many drinks.
I was there in HCMC about a month ago. Before the pandemic, I would travel there every 2~3 months for business. Been going there since 2008 or so and things have changed quite a bit since. Imagine seeing oxen in HCMC back then...

Wow really? I book all my hotels through hotels.com , yes the security deposit was 500,000 dong I believe, but got it back when I checked out
