- What would you do if a waitress refused to let you order your desired meal and made you feel ashamed for it?
Today on Supermission, we share the story of a rude waitress who doesn't let a customer order what he wants. The customer, who can only afford the kids' menu, politely asks for it, but the unkind waitress refuses to serve him. Her hurtful words will come back to haunt her!

I'm 21 years old and when I go out to eat, I love ordering the Mac n cheese on the kids' menu when I can't get it on the adults' menu. So, I don't have an issue with Eli ordering the chicken tenders. I also like chicken tenders myself.

I try to push away from McDonald's all the time. When I crave a a burger and fries, the kid's meals always do the job. Especially when I'm on a road trip and don't want too much that always makes me drowsy.

You are paying for your meal and should be able to order what you want. Either way the restaurant is getting paid for their service.
unless it specifically says under 12s only - then yes.....but if it just says 'kids menu' without the age it should be ok lol

As a 25 year old grown woman i love chicken tenders but the amount of disrespect i get when ordering food justs aggravates me so much I don't understand why can't order what i want without getting disrespected
That waitress got exactly what she deserved, Eli will be a perfect replacement for her ,She needs to learn to treat people with respect, then she'll get somewhere 😄😄

Also, he shouldn't have to explain himself to her or anyone else. He was the customer, & the customer comes 1st, & should be treated w/respect.
As a senior on a fixed income, I wish restaurants would offer small portions for less money. The kid's meal portions are perfect for that.
It's a shame they keep using the same woman to be rude. She's a pretty good actress. I'll bet she could do more than evil.

If I was the CEO of a restaurant or anywhere I would go undercover to test employees especially if there has been complaints from customers.

Waitress meant to recommend some things to her customer, she was countermanding everything he was ordering!!! This waitress was terrible in being professional, while a fellow customer piqued her interest, he was indeed stretched to the maximum in his wallet!!! Joan was nice to Eli but the rude waitress Becky shouldn't have meddled, he had a family to save and was fired!!! She will be fired from her job, she has to go!!! Management must take appropriate action, this is too much!!! damn it!!!
A long time ago I along with my mom n dad went to this restaurant & the waitress was being rude, we sat there for 15mins without getting our drinks refilled, so we didn't leave a tip, we went back months later ending up having the same lady, she told us when she saw us , I talked bad about y'all for not leaving a tip, so this time. We still didn't leave a tip😂
Tips aren’t a given. They’re for exceptional service. Once my husband & I were at the restaurant. The waitress rude & inattentive. When our food finally arrived she spilled some of the hot ingredients on my husband. All she said was “oh shit” & walked off. No apology no help cleaning it up. We left a 1 cent tip. On our way to the car she chased us out. She said “You forgot your change”. We kept going. Six months later the restaurant closed. People like that shouldn’t work with the public.
You should be able to order any meal of any menu,wether it's a kids meal or not.

a similar thing happened to me. i wasn’t
really hungry one day and ordered a kids meal. it comes with a small soup, some broccoli and orange juice.
oh and just so you know, the same thing was available in the adults menu. it’s just that the kids meal has smaller portions and is cheaper.
the waitress asked me where the kid was, and then was like 'sorry you can’t order from the kids meal'
i ended up buying an adult meal. no choice

It’s crazy how realistic this video is. This happens to me almost every time I go out to eat.
It happened to me a couple times in the past as well, when I was out on dates. I mean I let them ordered what they want, wtf they complain about what I order just cuz it's some special or fancy restaurant? I had to end up putting them in there place, & it shut them up, guessing fearing they were gonna miss out on a free meal. The way I see it, if no one's gonna pay for my meal, the should just shut the f*%k up, & don't worry bout what I order.

Haha...There's a simple solution and that is to tell the waitress to get lost and walk out. No way I would tolerate that condescending rudeness from anybody and give them my business. That alone communicates that place cannot be trusted.
We don't go to restaurants to be insulted, we go there to eat, drink and relax.
I swear, people like that waitress disgust me, because first she behaved as if she were the owner of the world, then, when she discovered that the lady was the owner, she started apologizing and smiling like an obedient dog to save her job, and then, when she realized that there was nothing she could do to avoid being fired, she insulted the restaurant like a capricious child, it's just ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure that the lady-owner was holding herself from giving her a slap.

(punches her again) FOR MOCKING HER FOR SAYING SHE IS THE OWNER! Your apologies to Joan are downright pathetic, because all it's for is because you just find out from Googling! And so is saying you were only following her rules! (chokes her again) *Eli's* not the one who doesn't deserve any dignity or respect, *YOU* ARE! (puts more soap in her mouth) For saying that the food was terrible, just because you got fairly fired! (breaks her arms some more) For stealing and drinking from Eli's glass! Now you can't blame Eli or Joan for justice! Are you happy *now?!* (force-nods her good) Good! It serves you right! And no sincere apologies for you, ever! (abandons her)
She later drinks heavily. She later gets pulled over for driving under the influence.

Before Joan revealed herself, I was thinking that I'm surprised this waitress even still had her job with that attitude. I order from the kid's menu sometimes. There's no rule that adults have to order from the adult menu. I'm sure Joan had no such rule either. I wonder how that waitress even got through the interview.
I honestly doubt there is a law that’s says that only children should order off the kids menu. I went to a restaurant called “Be Our Guest” for the second time and I ordered off a menu that might be for kids but that has food and beverage allergen friendly options and I’m only 23

I see nothing wrong with grownups ordering from the kids menu, my mother sometimes orders from the kids menu.

I'd like to see part two of this story with Becky working as a humbled janitor as she learns from her rude behavior and attitude towards Eli while he takes her place as a waiter and serves the customers exactly how they should be served.
Nothing wrong with ordering off the kids menu if you don’t want a big meal. I’m an adult and I love to order a Happy Meal. Of course if the menu says 10 and under only I’d probably choose an appetizer or some sides.

I usually order kids meal or senior menu because of the portions. My elder mom orders off senior menu too. Otherwise it goes to waste or doggie bag.

Lots of adults do in fact enjoy the chicken tenders and fries meal, so don't judge!! It's not the waitress' business to literally tell her customers what they should eat, it's about wanting what to eat. However, if someone is struggling financially after losing a job, if I were them, I would refrain from expenses such as eating out, and cook for myself for cheaper.
The restaurant owner, in the end, is kind enough to give the poor man a job though which is great! At least he gets to have that opportunity after trouble with the waitress.

When I was counting calories I always ordered from kids menu
My boss at Movie Theater when I worked as a Greeter got mad at me because we're suppose to upsize not downsize, these 2 Elderly Customers I suggested kids portion for them because I heard talking that the portions were not small enough for them and they were trilled than told me good idea that they would share a kids popcorn so my point is be nice not rude as heck.
