I am very excited to be a part of cybersecurity, and I have also started studying about networks, Linux, and many other things which make it more and more interesting. I just love doing these things. However, I recently considered quitting because I encountered so much negative news about it. People were saying there is no salary, and I should pursue data sciences instead, or else I will regret it in the future. Then, today I stumbled upon your videos and explored more about cybersecurity. I absolutely loved your content! Trust me, because of you, I've started learning again and feel much more confident. Thank you so much! Also, please make more videos on how to get into ethical hacking, etc. I love your work, mate! ❤
Thank you so much for the comment! ❤️ Always negative people around, don’t let that get to you. You got this! Data science/data analytics is a useful skill to have in cybersecurity (you don’t need to be an expert). But you’ll be surprised how useful that can be. I use PowerBI and data analysis/visualisations to model security data/metrics/KPIs etc all the time. Yeah I will do some ethical hacking videos in the near future! I just need to finish a few projects I am working on first.
I was much into ML AI engineering, but surveillance marketing pushing me into this field. Thank you Google, for helping me of finding a purpose of my life. In Poland there's a real war front in the internet. PsyOps etc. So, a Kali image is waiting to run in VM.
Could you advise me on where to go to get my foot in the door? I am graduating college at the end of this year, and have been creating programming projects for fun on my downtime. I'm looking to work for my state's government, cause they're always hiring, but experience is needed/heavily preferred. Thank you again! Also I love the way you describe the arms race example. This is why I'm sure that CS will never go away.
Yeah sure, carry on doing projects and labs. Make sure you refine your CV and optimise it for the job you want. Also, for the experience, projects count as experience but also try visiting www.theforage.com - they have loads of realistic experience style projects.

There is so much to this profession. You are certainly unfolding this forest of information and making it easier to appreciate. Nice one.
As someone in a different area of tech cybersecurity is looking more and more interesting to me, thanks for this

I do apologise I don’t have much knowledge of CFE. I don’t really do any fraud detection - my focus is on cyber security.
