    Iffy,
    Nice test and assessment of the new update. I would suggest that you test several low conductors like small gold instead of the coins to see how the stabilizer affects target response. On the Legend, for example, you have to be cautious in how high your run beach stabilization in that you might lose small gold. I know inland hunters are not as focused on small gold as beach hunters but I have hit small gold with my Equinox in parks. I would hate to lose that on the Manticore by setting the stabilizer too high.

    • @IffySignals
      @IffySignals  Год назад +1

      Thanks William, the nickel is a nice mid conductor test but i agree i would try and use any filtering as low as possible. I was impressed with this and wanted to show it. I thought i would be masking more than this on high especially because it performed so well this high with the nails out hunting. I have noticed you will impact some depth if the ground is not clean.

    So the deus2 is "hopeless " on the separation or we need to use the correct number on silencer to work perfectly!?. Is the uptade or just it is how it works...let say theres a silver/gold coin under or next to a ferrous metal (small ir big object) the deus will loose it?.and we might dont realize its a good target to dig?. The newer detectors you have demonstrated single freq. May be the best in 2023? I believe wrap around and falsing are the same thing. One of the forums several years ago agree. Whites Spectra V3i and the members on that forum (and they on the forum compared the V3i 'wrap around' to the terminology as a convertible term.) With the V3i the manual states many like the 'wrap around' feature. and in the expert manual they can either turn it on or off. I do not believe it is falsying on iron I believe it is simply 'overloading' in the processor as with a hot rock. This is not a 'salvation' issue as one will lose their salvation either way, they believe. I have yet to see anyone grew an antennae on top of their head as a result! lol. R O F L. The nuanced audio will be more apparent the higher you go with the Stabilizer. I like the Stabilizer by itself and leave the filter off. Had two questions one are you using the 11 inch coil on both machines , and two What would the relativity setting of 4 be equal to on the manticore? I have both detectors and after watching Tennessee sharpshooter comparing the 11 inch coil to the 9 inch coil, it appears in certain scenarios The 11 inch coil is better for separation than the 9 inch coil, it has to do with the circumference, and where the targets are . They both have to have the coin and the nail within the circumference as it passes over to hit , example you will be able to hit a dime better when it is less than 5 1/2 inches from a nail and if the dime is 6 inches from the nail with the 11 inch, or if you are using a 9 inch coil if the nail is more than 4 1/2 inches from the coin, it probably won’t hit it. Thanks for the comparison. always interesting to see how they stack up . Oh, and one more thing did the target show up as iron with the red just curious

    • @MrBottlecapBill
      @MrBottlecapBill Год назад +2

      It always has to do with the layout of the targets in the ground which is why you will always end up digging iron. The number of possible placements in the ground is near infinite. DD coils are sensitive on the very edges as well as in the middle so any targets lingering in those zones at the same time are a problem. The technology is getting better but ultimately it can't compensate for everything. Go over your productive spots in all modes, all frequencies, all directions and using as many coils as possible. Even multiple machines if you have them.

      @@IffySignals The reason I asked was I bought the Manticore buried a silver quarter at 6" and put a pull tab on top of the ground where I buried the quarter and it couldn't see the quarter.That would explain why I hardly ever dig deep silver coins.

      @@rickkeifer5928 thx for the info Rick. Thats tough for any machine to see past the pull tab. Im not sure i have seen one be able to do that. What will happen is the ID of the pull tab and the ID of the quarter will be blended or averaged in some cases. In other cases favored to only the pull tab, this really depends on the layout of the test. Best to get them out of the ground and see whats hiding underneath. Good luck 👍
