The upgrade definitely makes sense because you’ll able to do more work. Google chrome uses so much ram, it’s crazy. I’m thinking about upgrading the ram. 64gb might be over kill, but maybe I’ll go 32gb. Editing on premiere pro and gaming has been pretty seemeless thus far with the 16gb
I need 64 too, da vinci is unusable with16 almost all the time it crashes for me. This laptop should be 32 gigs with same price, cu it's expensive enough.
my memories are rejected by my MSI GF65 Thin 9SXER laptop, I know it has to do with the CL19 of the 8gb 2666Mhz that it originally brought, but these same Kingston Fury of 32 gb x2 do not work for me to be 64gb both of 32. It happens that they turn off the laptop instantly. Could it be that the memories are defective or what could it be?
Where did you get them? If you bought the kit from AliExpress or something similar, there's a chance you got a counterfeit memory kit. There's just no XMP at all. I got mine from the largest electronics retailer in my country, so they are genuine indeed.

I honestly don't know, this is the first time this has happened to me, I bought the memories in a store and official distributor in my country. But in a package that came to my memory, it came with an open seal from the kingston paper label. I bought them in the market MercadoLibre, it's like an Amazon, but they are missing both individually and separately on Amazon in my country and they are mostly sold individually. It was very strange what happened to me with the memories, both work as single channel but not both, the Bios Standart American 2021, (blue color with gray) automatically detects the memories as functional, in dual channel but in windows it turns off the unexpected laptop. Before testing the individual memories, as a step to follow, it happens that I run high processing video games, and the memories work, but the laptop only turns off when it is in desktop mode, or visiting web pages, I return the original ram and it works fine My laptop, I say it's the memories, but I don't know.
Dunno if you should or not. But you can try to buy a kit from a huge retailer and if it's not working then you can try to return it saying it is not compatible (which is true). But I don't know return policy of the store you are going to buy the kit from, so it's up to you anyway. Just make sure that it's a kit (two sticks in a box) and the box itself is sealed with a factory seal and never opened.
