First video that I've seen that actually talks about and shows cutting those plastic things out of the bumper. I was wondering about that for my daughter's Colorado.
Where did you find those brackets , I have a 2016 colorado and bought a 30 inch light bar from rough country to install but I like those bolt on to factory install brackets !! Do you have a model number !
Hello again! Yes looks very nice. But how much light does that setup actually throw? Is it a total flood? Or is there some type of direction control? I have a Colorado WT CrewCab 4x4, V6, all white like yours, however I have a chrome grill. If I go all through that trouble I will paint the grill summit white like the truck. That’s the only issue I have, is weak lighting, especially the WT, I had a Z71, before the WT, that had the projector lights like yours and they are a bit better!
Nice and neat job. I would keep a eye on the temperature of the engine. On another you tube channel that I follow. They say they asked the engineer at Chevy about why they made the air dam so long was because of engine cooling. Great video
I wonder if you had left the light bar out until the end if you could leave those fins in the bumper? Not sure how far forward the bar is and how far back the fins are. Obviously with putting the bar in first it wouldn't be possible, and putting the bar in afterwards would make wiring a nightmare, but just wondering if you could avoid having to cut those.
Love watching the videos bud..... You helped me pick out my Colorado. Just brought it home. 2018 Redline Edition. Looks amazing. I'm enjoying your videos even more.
Great vid Matty.. Catching up on your old videos.. Hope you laid off the “boys” in future vids lol.. Im home alone and its late and every time you say boys, it makes me feel a little uncomfortable on the inside haha keep up the great work bro. I have a ZR2 and Im finding a lot of your content very useful and worthwhile of watching.
Love it Matt! I have a 2017 Colorado WT that I want to add this bar to, but like the other comment I'm worried about the air blockage. The length of the bar looks perfect !
any problems with flickering? i have the same setup but everytime i hit a bump, or even sometimes when not, the light bar flickers so bad i just end up turning it off.
WOW!!! that was an awesome video!! I might just get one for my 2016 colorado!! Looks easy enough to install. I wish you filmed the part to connect the wires to the battery, but seems easy enough! thanks for the vids and keep up the good work man!! I just subscribed, waiting for the next vid!
Nice man! Welcome!!! It is very easy ... it comes with the instructions when you buy the bar light.... but Red goes to the positive and black to negative!! It is easy like it sounds!!! Let me know if you have any trouble! :)
Is there a way to hook into the existing system? Like the light bar comes on and off with your bright lights? So you can eliminate the button I drive early in the morning and want it for the purpose of seeing better but it also looks stylish.
HI, i came back to this old video, cause i was working to remove my bumper, and i had a problem, just tell me please, did you had a problem putting back the upper bolt with the led light in place ? how did you done that ?
My only problem is that they still dont make these kits to tie the lightbar to your highbeams. My lightbars have both been tied to the highbeams so that i dont have to fumble for a silly button when i see traffic coming. 99% of the people that i get blinded by have there bars seperate from there highs. They turn highs off then its another few seconds before the bar gets shut off...
Wow man...........how clean your job man, i love it, very powerfull, yes i enjoy your videos a lot.....i'm gonna be in NJ in 2 weeks, hope u r in the same corner , we may have a drink for that :)
Looks great! But have you noticed any cooling issues by chance? Looks like it blocks that air inlet. Chevy does not recommend putting a light bar in that location for that reason is why I was asking. Sweet truck!
Matt looks great! My concern that light bar is blocking 1/3 the air flow to the radiator! Running hot possible engine damages, and throws the emission system off to run lean! I seen a wrx w a big light bar on the bottoms blocking air flow to the inter cooler !
@@javar2r3ra maybe some but iv never owned a new truck so all i know is 12-18mpg which is fine with me, id rather have metal protecting my engine bay then plastic. Lol
You're the man. Best!

Me gusta mucho el Chevrolet COLORADO ZR2 es una excelente maquina
Matty did you really have to cut the little tabs on the bumper?? Or could it be flush?
Unfortunately you have to cut it
How's it holding up?
Perfect so far
@@Matty.Garage would a curved one fit?
Does the red led light on the switch stay on when the car is off?

Strongly considering doing this to my canyon now 🤔 check out my mods on my channel

Got the same one installed in the same place on my 2016 Colorado and love it.
What made you go with the straight led bar vs a curved one?
You shouldn't ground anything to your battery, it could cause a spark. Instead connect it somewhere on the frame.
Looks awesome! Your neighbors will know when you are coming home after dark! :)
some one finally make a light bar install on a Colorado wanted to do this on mine but wasnt sure what was involved, looks good
Thank you man!!!!
Have you had any problems with the air intake with the lightbar blocking that air way?
Thanks for the video. Did this install yesterday. Ur vid made it super simple. Keep the vids coming man!
Glad to hear man! Im super happy to hear that you got it!
Thanks for your video! I did it in my 2015 GMC Canyon and it look awesome.

hey man! I tried to left the bumper in "one Piece"" but the bar light didn't fit ... :(
Hey Matt when re-installing the bumper how did you get the 2 bolts that go behind the light bar back in? Were they hard to get to?
Looks good might do that to my colorado one day
Go for it man! It makes a difference at night!
I'm sure it does 👍. I love your videos gives me ideas for my truck and I can see how it looks also
Looks good might have to get one myself
It is worth man!

Nice install video 🖒
Thank you man! Glad you like it !

Looks awesome, Can you tell me if its possible to install a 32 inch light bar? is there enough space for an additional inch on either side?

Matt 1003 im gonna be in Raritan Area with my wife , are u far from this corner?
how has the cooling been?
no problems so far!
nice job bro! 🙏
Thank you man!
It looks like the switch has a red light when the lightbar is off. Wont that run your battery down?
Very cool Matt Wow I like your truck

Does this light bar not come with the mount?
No ... you have to buy the brackets

Thanks.

I cant stand the amount of plastic they used on these new vehicles, should be all metal.
I know... it is going to get worse:(
Then you'd complain about fuel mileage.

Dready Locs well, good luck finding one made with metal nowadays.
That’s sick, man! Great job.
Random question: where did you get your phone holder for the cab? I need one.
Sure man! If you look at the cold air intake video... there is a link fot the clip in the description!
Get to it less talking more working
Thank you for watching.... no stress ... take your time!
@@Matty.Garage I have the zr2 I think it might fit but I have to do a little research
There fender flairs not flamurae flairs. And I don't think I have ever heard someone talk so much before even starting work ..
Have to explain thou!
Looks good but you ito quit addressing “the boys “. I drive a 2017 Z71 and do most of my mods. And yes I’m not a dude
Hah! You are completely right!! To be honest ... I thought about this when I was recording ... Thank you for letting me know! :)
its a light bar. not bar light
You are right!!
Looks great!
Do you know if the Dual version of this lightbar fits in the bumper or does only the single row one work?
I believe it will fit ... a friend of mine has the same dual and it looks good
