Don't know if you heard their version of Carol of The Bells yet, but Mitch is so good in it. I don't know when he even breathes in half the song.
Easily the best version of this song I've ever heard
My favorite version of this song
Best version of this song ever.
THIS is the way this song was meant to be sung - with unbridled joy!
I love this Pentatonix version of this song. They are amazing. Thanks for the reaction.
The distinctly Afro-Caribbean beats here are thanks to Kevin's genius arrangement of the traditional Christmas carol. He is paying homage to his mother and father, from Grenada and Nigeria respectively. Such a wonderfully joyful interpretation! This one of my favourites in their Christmas catalogue. Pentatonix is always full of surprises. Happy New Year from Canada. 🙂
They really are a great accapella group and do a great job.
Thanks for another great reaction ...
Kevin arranged this in the style of an African Spiritual song. He nailed it.
If you like Hip Hop, you may like Superfruit (made up of Scott and Mitch) doing Hip Hop Goes Broadway (Parts 1 and 2). In many Superfruit videos, they do a short clip of bloopers at the end. It's a nice blend of playful creativity (i.e., taking songs from one genre to another) and good singing. You'll find that Scott and Mitch complement each other so well.
It’s got such an African feel to it and I LOVE IT
Once again UPGRADE. Thank you for this one. Kevin’s Father is from Nigerian and his Mother is from Grenada. Both immigrants to the U.S. Both this and CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT have African influences.
They have an incredible talent for taking their audience exactly where they want you to go.
Whether it upbeat, sad or uplifting.
We as the audience are instantly transported.
I will check your playlist to see what recommendations to make.
To start with, upbeat Song. Sad would be Say Something. Uplifting would be Amazing Grace (although they have A LOT of them).
Enjoy your journey. I will be here waiting for the next step.
Hope and joy to all.
Share it with everyone you come in contact with. The world will be a better place.
No one does it better than PTX!
True. Amazing
Great reaction to an old song that Kevin was deeply involved in this arrangement dedicated to his parents, Dad from Nigeria and both of his parents are in the medical profession as Kevin had graduated from Yale University pre-med before Scott snatched him up and convinced him to join Pentatonix. He has played the saxophone at Carnegie Hall when he was 17 and won a Grammy before he joined PTX.
Also Kevin is Very Religious and has a podcast with his brother. He was hesitant to join a band that would tour and might conflict with his religious beliefs. Scott assured him that any thing they did would not conflict or compromise his beliefs.
They do all have separate projects from Scott and Mitch's original channel to Kirstin doing "Kinky Boots" which greatly improved her confidence and performances. Mitch put out his own album "Messer" during the pandemic. PTX released an album during the pandemic also. Scott had to learn the editing skills. Simply Amazing.
If I had a gospel church here in wales UK I’d be there 3 times a week or more. God bless
From what I've read from Pentaholics is Kevin influenced this song in homage to his parents from Guatemala and (Nigeria?).
If you really like Kevin's beatboxing he does his own work. Check out his KOver (KO are his initials) of "Down"... its incredible!
They all do their own stuff as well as working together. That, in my opinion is why they're so amazing.
Grenada and Nigeria.
they did 'if i fall in love' with jason derulo and an early original, 'sing'; both have good enegy. you might like 'cheerleader', 'havana', or 'happy now'. there lots of great ones without a video, such as 'anchor' or 'petals'.
AWESOME REACTION!
Best version ever. Thanks for reacting to it.

I'm with u about the beatbox aspect. That's what makes me like them more than any other Acapella groups. Mitch's voice is my favorite, too, it's insane. 😎 Mitch & Ari w the beatbox is my favorite aspects. The rest could be replaced IMO. I wasn't feeling the newer stuff w/o Ari, personally. It's good, just not as special , IMO.
Can you please, please do a reaction to Pentatonix GIRLFRIEND song, their original song called CAN'T SLEEP LOVE and please do Pentatonix THE PRAYER?!
Yeup, thus is your speed. When you already know the words.. to me thus is just a gift video. No real talent to be seen, just, "it's the holiday, give us momey". Just bobbin your your head. "This is crazy"... lol no, it's made for kids like you. Lion King is next?!????
Oh you mad mad now 😂😂😂 I love it. My first hater to go up and down all my videos with negativity. I successfully trolled the troll and hurt his little feelings.
Oooh Lion King….maybe up next. Not a bad idea.
@@dadwhatsfordinner well, never trolled you, didn't agree with your H Mack review cause you were lost, glad you feeling some sort of whatever after your time. Good luck son.
@@Mike024ipi For the record, I don’t like Margie Taylor Greene. That’s the most offensive thing you said to me lol.
Seriously, It’s all good. I’m just having fun. I don’t mean no harm. Good luck to you in the present and future. I mean that. Last thing I want to be doing is internet arguing with a real hip hop head.
@@dadwhatsfordinner I'll take that back... I know that's a tough one
