Hey music lovers! I felt like I could offer you a little more this weekend, so here is another one: "REACH FOR THE SKIES," an E.L.O./Jeff Lynne inspired catchy tune :)
Some of the lyrics were penned last year, and I felt it was time to bring them to life.
Electric Light Orchestra has a sound reminiscent of The Beatles, for sure, but the numerous ingredients found in Jeff Lynne's material are extremely fun to play with. UDIO was generous with this one, and even though some chord progressions were not easy to obtain, it generally "collaborated" well. So, it was a 7-hour job (unlike "Drystan" material that sometimes took DAYS to render satisfyingly).

Quite pleasant... but happily a long way short of Jeff's work. Not at all like ELO either except for the the piano bit borrowed off Boogie #2.
Where Is Jeff Lynne's voice and chorus????
Hi, thanks for your comment. The songs on this channel are "tributes" and I voluntarily try to avoid "sound alike" and rather follow a "in the spirit of" type of approach. It is possible to actually use some AI apps to REPLACE lead vocals with the actual voices of Jeff Lynne, or John Lennon, or Buddy Holly, Roger Waters etc, but I am not in favor of such a trickery, for many obvious reasons. I hope people can enjoy the song for what they are and in the case of people who would not know the tributed artists, my hope is that it would incline them to search for the original repertoire and discover what they've been missing! ;)
