Hi, ithanks for your comment. Indeed a Tribute is always something mostly "reminescent of" since there is never ever anything as good as the real deal (no matter who the tributed artist is). As for the lyrics, English is my second language, so I personally do my best, but I am never entirely satisfied with "my best" so I won't object :)

I write all the lyrics. That particular one was written in ...1999 lol

Hi, thanks for your comment. The songs on this channel are "tributes" and I voluntarily try to avoid "sound alike" and rather follow a "in the spirit of" type of approach. It is possible to actually use some AI apps to REPLACE lead vocals with the actual voices of Jeff Lynne, or John Lennon, or Buddy Holly, Roger Waters etc, but I am not in favor of such a trickery, for many obvious reasons. I hope people can enjoy the song for what they are and in the case of people who would not know the tributed artists, my hope is that it would incline them to search for the original repertoire and discover what they've been missing! ;)

@@Jolly-Guitars De facto, en tant que fan de Buddy Holly, j'ai commencé avec une stratocaster :) Je suis passé à quelques modèles semi acoustiques un peu plus tard mais je ne me suis jamais permis le luxe d'une Gretsch. Mais je ne dirais certainement pas non (ou à une Bigsby à double manches à la Grady Martin)!

And please explain to me how an original song can be "copyright infringement"? Is the voice Ian Anderson's? Is the song from Jethro Tull's catalog? Are the lyrics written by any member of the band? So It's not my problem if somebody cannot understand the meaning of a TRIBUTE, which is the result of a strong admiration and a will to stimulate an interest for the original artist. I would invite you to listen to the entire Neil Innes' "Rutles" catalog of songs (which are direct allusions to very specific parts of real Beatles songs) and tell me what you "think" (clue: it won't really change my view of it all). And, by the way, RUclips analyzes each song when it is uploaded to make sure it is not infringing on existing material, so I doubt they will be shaken in their boots. On the other hand, if you wanted to compliment me about how I successfully was able to achieve a heartfelt and convincing tribute to Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson, well, you've done it. Thanks. (And it would be an honor hearing back from Jethro Tull's management, so I know they know how much I admire and revere the band!)

I usually do not get into arguments with people hidden behind a pseudonym , and channel with no content, but sir (with a nick ending with "kid"...) you have absolutely no understanding of what a TRIBUTE is... (among probably many things). But, yes, following your so-called philosophy, let "modern audiences" deal exclusively with Cardie B or Lizzo, or auto-tuned no talent, singing about getting drunk or celebrating their bum, instead of tributing original artists through a song that could help them discover Jethro Tull... A real winner...

@@sandbridgekid4121 People have been releasing bootlegs for decades. That is undeniable copyright infringement and I tend to believe it would not bother you a bit. Here a guy puts together something that is enjoyable for us 70s music fans and you jump in threathening and snitching about music, performance and lyrics that are not JT's. Man, I don't wanna be rude but your attitude screams "no life".

I am deeply touched by your kind words, and I sure wrote it :) When creating new "old" songs, I actually struggle a lot with the final product because I must accept the voice I end up with (I really have no real control over how close to the real voice AI will be). The fact is that I write a song (with a clear idea of the type of melody and arrangements I want for it) and I envision the ideal voice (in this case Skeeter Davis) and the result is always somehow a little underwhelming. But I agree that it is a lovely (I would dare to say "cute") vocal rendition and for that reason, "it made the cut". Thanks again!

I kept crying in the shower, thinking of this song, and it was already wet... 😊 You're a master for making music I didn't dare hoping was possible to make anymore. Thank you so much! I'm not saying the lyrics are "perfect", but what is? It's perfect to me and that's what really matters. The voice, maybe, sounds like Connie Stevens or maybe Patty Michaels? It's prettier sung than both of them as one. I was thinking that if I could choose one song for an imaginary wedding (who knows? It may come true) this is it. I haven't been touched straight to my heart by a song this way in quite a few years. And to think it's not even real? Scary! I say: If this is the future of music, then to h.... with the record companies!

As I have once explained, the « industry « should aim at providing music styles and genres for everybody, but it does not, as it actually CONTROLS and filters to keep people in line with it’s agenda.
