I am a proud daughter of a Marine who served for 20 years and is also a Vietnam Veteran. My son will be graduating from bootcamp at MCRD in San Diego in November. This story is beautiful and made me cry. Semper Fi from Guam. 🤩🇬🇺🇺🇲
I'm a daughter of a Marine. And I spent my first 6 years camp Pendleton my dad was a drill instructor. That was a long time ago but the Marines are special to my heart. And my granddaughter is married to a Marine, Camp Pendleton and they have two little baby boys. You have a done a great job mom💞cuz Marines don't except everyone that applies to become a Marines for the United States of America 🕊️🇺🇸
My mom and step dad both are Vietnam vets and I’m 33 my mom also served in the reserves for 19yrs after Vietnam she didn’t leave the military until almost I was accidentally conceived aka condom broke and born in 1990
Some giant 6’5” football player at Rutgers New Brunswick in 2010 was walking by in a snowstorm, saw us trying desperately to free housemates car from an icey ditch, he stopped, helped us push, immediately the car came out the ditch. That dude made it seem extremely easy, and he was nice
Oh my!! She was saved by the Marines in dress blues at that! I have a special love for those guys because my dad was in the Marine Corps & they started in my hometown by fellow Philadelphian Samuel Nicholas. Semper fidelis 🪖
God bless our military members who do soo much for our country but aren’t recognize or not recognize enough.. Thank you for your service and may God bless you always..🙏

When I was growing up, we would never miss CBS Sunday Morning after church. Fast forward to me at 32 and I don’t watch every Sunday morning but I never miss the on the road clip on RUclips and I never make it through 1 without crying. Thank you Steve. Amazing these stories don’t make it on every network every week
I loved this story. I can hardly wait to show this to my 95 yr old aunt the next time I go to her house. Her husband, my uncle, was in the Marines and then went to the Navy. They were married 71 years. His memorial service was this past Monday and it was a very touching Military service done by 2 Navy officers. It was beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes as I could definitely see my Uncle Joe going to the rescue with these Marines to help someone in distress. Beautiful story.
O man love you man great special thanks to CBS and Mr Steve H you are always be great and the greatest person of news makers MS NORAH O DONNELL THE GREAT GREAT OF GREATEST
From a former cavalry corporal old enough to be your grandfather, please accept a sincere and respectful tip of the Stetson, Marines. You gents done REAL good.
As a medically retired volunteer firefighter/EMT-P, who despite not currently in the firefighting service, I keep my certifications up to date and without reimbursement because at the end of the day, we MUST rely on each other because if we don't help each other, we fail one another.
This is an example of the media attempting to bridge the divide. They decided to talk about something more kind hearted that inspires people to be better. Its great seeing stiff like this.
Leave no man (or woman) behind. Words indeed for ALL of us to live by - not just a Marine or military motto and mission. As the one Marine said quite well, this is what humanity's life purpose is. Sad that in our culture these events are so rare that they are celebrated. Again, as these Marines model in their actions, it is not for recognition or honor or glory that they leave no-one behind thus it does not and should not matter their names nor any badges on their chests. Life lessons to live by...
It's not about the water per se it's about the humanity and for those of us that have empathy it fills our hearts with hope that evil will not prevail. 🕊️ Semper Fidelis🇺🇸 Latin meaning,Always Faithful
Well as stated in the story, Ms. Virginia was caught off guard. I can give you many examples of said instinces because I am a medically retired volunteer firefighter. Emergency situations DO NOT FOLLOW A SCHEDULE
I understand the courage these men have and at the same time enjoy their sense of humor. The lady could have just opened the door and walked away after once that small car drove past her, 🤣. Nonetheless, you can always count on the Marines!
I wasn’t shocked by this story at all. When I was in the Marine Corps, I personally witnessed this type of act numerous times, unfortunately phones weren’t there to video and prove it. Semper Fi Devil Dogs.
Instead of saving self let’s record a video and go viral! Reminds me of the teenager who got in a car accident and recorded herself after the fact. It went viral for stupid reasons.
Re watch the segment. The weather forecast was 100% wrong. Plus she didn't see the flooded roadway meaning no matter how hard she hit the brakes, the vehicle would not have stopped in time because the speed limit on the ramp is 55mph. Now factor in the wet roads, that adds to the stopping distance
@@edstevens6839 i hear ya. I guess I would just kinda determine the height of the water by the height of the car/tires, landmarks and the officer's legs as he was approaching... she was trapped in her car and her car could not move. and the pressure around the car probably made it hard to open the car from the inside. Also she was most likely in shock. Don't judge her.
