When it came to my anxiety, I needed to accept the fact that I could not be prepared for every single little possibility. After all, I'm only human. I can only try my best, have faith in my abilities, and let go by leaving everything else to chance.
Focusing on the possibilities that I have not accounted for will just make me become extremely anxious again.

I read some health article once about how anger is healthier than fear. Not better, healthier. I can't be bothered to find it now, there seems to be a lot of them on the web, but the message was quite similar - fear is toxic. In a state of fear, your body releases stress hormones and raises your BP among other things that best not be experienced long term. Anger on the other hand causes release of adrenaline, which is quit beneficial in small doses. The message was thus: any time you're in a situation where the two option are fear and anger, you should pick anger. Be angry at having been afraid, at the very least.

Yea, its no joke, fear had been my constant companion since many years, silly how small things you don't really realize can become massive,
but good thing is, it applies same to positive emotions,
The key is to being able to control and manage your emotions and being in a positive state bcs that's the fuel your body thrives on,
Meditation has really helped me to get a better hang of it and I strongly suggest to others having the same issues, especially those who are hyper sensitive people like I am,
      Its a long road
but it gets better and easier everyday
as you start to get better control on your thoughts and emotions!
      May god bless you all

The one thing which has really helped me, is
just this one quote, I don't recall it well and don't remember where I heard it from,
    but its essence is,
That you can't be prepared for everything and control every action happening in the world, nor you can not be perfect in handling every little thing,
But WHAT YOU CAN DO, IS DO YOUR BEST IN EVERY SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE, no matter what happens, you just do your best and be satified while being calm, bcs we function THE best when we are calm,
and once you know you did your best, you are satisfied
it increases your productivity, reduces stress and provides constant satisfaction!

Also, if you tackle difficult situations in life, there is only two ways you can come out,
      either wiser or broken
If you face them early on in life, you can take lessons, early on!
Pharma industry doesn't have the cure, they are in fact just an industry
they make you dependent on the pills for lifetime
but it is okay, we do not have to be their victim
it's a hell created by ourselves, and with willpower and discipline we can make it heaven by ourselves too!

jjsiegal I disagree with him entirely. Anxiety is when you're very clear about what it is you're not meant to do, but we insist on doing it cos we think we know better than we feel.

    • @d4n4nable
      @d4n4nable 6 лет назад +6

Shubh Fela, that's a horrible way of looking at things. You're trying to appease your feelings by suppressing what your rational mind tells you to do. That will, for many people, result in cocooning yourself into whatever makes you feel comfortable, but leaving out everything stressing your out and making you grow as a person. What you're advocating for is precisely the negative response that anxious people usually have. If I wouldn't do what makes me anxious, I'd just sit alone at home, sad and depressed forever, without a meaningful life. In fact I'm doing way to much of that as it is, because I'm unwilling to face my demons. Every time I decide to rise up to the challenge and spit my anxious fears in the face it's great and I'm better off because of it. Anxiety isn't our "gut" telling us something isn't good for us. That's rational fear. Anxiety is our selfish ego fighting not to get killed off and replaced by a new, better person, not subject to the same limitations as it was.

anxiety is excitement filtered through a negative belief system. Its the pulling back of ones self out of the moment and thus into a linear frame of focus via future and past projections that stop the forward momentum towards negotiating an obstacle that can only be experienced as enjoyable or exciting by living and focusing in the moment.

  • @TheDutchGame

So, if you're in a state of constant anxiety what is the best way to go and deal with that in such a way that you can sort things out for yourself?

    • @LewberryProductions
      @LewberryProductions  7 лет назад +23

You need to identify why it is that you are in a constant state of anxiety first, as this means you are either preparing or avoiding some sort of chaos. What is your chaos?
In your life you need a just amount of chaos and a just amount of order ( think of the yin-yang). If you have enough chaos you learn from it and advance. If you have to much chaos you will be crippled by it, and usually fall into states of mind such as depression and alcoholism.
Then you need to transform all the "excess" chaos that is causing anxiety into order. It's ok to have some chaos, even if you're uncomfortable with it. Usually you know you have enough when you can still advance in life amidst the chaos you encounter.
Basically, you need to tackle your problems one by one, whether it's a "real-world" problem, or a psychological/ emotional problem. Start small: do things you should be doing that you are not. Best way to get started is to do something you can see constantly that represents some sort of chaos you are not addressing. For example, if your bedroom is full of clothes that needs washing because you haven't done a laundry in 3 months, do your laundry and make a nice pile of clothes. Got Pizza boxes piling up in your kitchen ? Go throw them away. The little things you know? When you've done that, start addressing the bigger problems.
If it's psychological or emotional, which it usually is, getting closure with failures and learning from them is the best way to do so in my opinion. You might need to see a psychiatrist, it helps. If you think you might, don't wait: find a good one and get an appointment ASAP. You won't regret it and it might be a big step forward and out of the swamp of chaos.
And remember, don't ever push anything under the rug. Everything needs to be addressed.
It might seem overwhelming but once you get started and succeed, you'll find the confidence to do more.
Leave things behind unaddressed, ignore them, and they'll manifest in your dreams ( see ►Nietzsche), and your cortisol levels (stress hormone) won't go down continuing stress and depression and a feeling of constant tiredness.
      I hope this helps.
      ~Lewis

Hey, thanks for the reply! I've heard this story over and over again. I'm glad to report that I actually like to keep my place in order. That means a healthy dosis of discipline. I get to work at 8:30, am home by 18:00 then I go to the store to buy healthy food, I cook, I eat, I do dishes and I occasionally do the laundry when the need is most dire.
The result is a tip top neat and organized apartment that I can do *more* in. Need to take a piss at 02:30 in the morning? Just walk to the bathroom there ain't nothing blocking my way because I've cleaned it. 8-)
However... the recent terrorist attacks, my ex breaking up with me and the strain of bullying I've encountered as a kid does stick with me. It seems like these three are what causes a lot of strain on my brain. I'll see to it that I'll get them fixed.
Thanks for the consideration. You're a nice person. And nice persons are cool. 8-)

    • @TheDutchGame

Terrorist attacks: I've heard this argument again and again and again. It's like a tradition to say these things every time these things happen. So, unfortunately, I see them on a near monthly basis. They never ring true to me. As they have little to no impact on me. Especially in comparison with *yet another* terrorist attack.
Heartbreak: I've got a woman in my sights and I'm getting strong hints she's got me in her sights too. ;)
Past Bullying: I'm addicted to Jordan Peterson's videos. They are fantastic!
      Thanks for the reaction btw.
