I look forward to watching more of your channel and seeing everything that you do to your Jeep, and all of the adventures that you go on! Last, please don’t ever feel like you have to apologize for having a “stump” as you put it. Your not having a single hand does not make you any less of a person. I can tell from this video that you are an amazing person and are beautiful both inside and out. And that is a rarity now days. I have a lot of experience off roading and have been doing it literally, my entire life. I was born in 1974 and was born and raised in Southern California. From the time I was born my Dad would take me off roading all over California, Arizona and Nevada. Then when I started driving, I started buying 4x4 trucks and have been off roading all over the United States, and Mexico. I always went off roading in my Toyota Tacoma’s but shortly after I got my drivers license at 16, I bought a 1980 Datsun 4x4 truck and started learning how to drive off road in it. If you ever have any questions about where to go, what things to buy or places to go, please feel free to hit me up and I will help you out in any way that I possibly can. You will find out that the off roading community is a very unique group of people. Generally speaking, almost everyone that does it is almost always willing to help other people out. Be it telling other people about where are good spots to go, to what group runs are happening and when and what will be needed to go on the group runs, to helping fellow off road enthusiasts if they break down and/or get stranded some place. Here are some tips that I will share with you. And if you already know any of these things, don’t think that I am trying to assume you are not educated or anything like that. I’m just wanting to share a few things with you in the event you don’t know them or somebody else doesn’t know them. 1. ALWAYS let at least 1 or 2 people know when you are going off roading, how long you expect to be gone and where you are going. This is especially true if you are going out off roading alone! In many places you do not have cell service and would not be able to call anyone if you got stranded and needed help. Then when you get home after off roading, call or text those same people so they know that you made it back home safe and sound. 2. ALWAYS bring a few gallons of drinking water with you, food that will last long term, toilet paper, large and heavy duty trash bags, first aide kit, whistle, high quality and bright flashlight, tool repair kit, one or more firearms if you can legally possess one and can legally keep it or them in your vehicle, a thick and high quality sleeping bag, fire starting equipment, at least 1 or 2 sharp knives, multi-tool kit, metal containers that you can cook food in, boil water in, and use as a reflective device, at least 2 or 3 changes of clothes for both extreme hot and extreme cold temperatures, and anything else that you may need to use for up to a few weeks should you break down and get stranded while out off roading. Out of these items, I bring lots of 550 paracord, granola or natural grain bars, honey because it never goes bad, makes any wild food you need to eat like grasshoppers, taste better and it gives you high but healthy calories needed if you are in survival mode. 3. If you do break down and your vehicle is not drivable, then stay with it! Eventually, help will come and find you! Sleep in your vehicle and be aware of any dangerous wildlife in your area. Especially if you are cooking food or have food out that may attract a predator, like a can of tuna. 4. In addition to your Jeep Rubicon being a 4x4, it also has a sway bar disconnect and both front and rear lockers. If you are driving on technical terrain, don’t shift into 4 high or 4 low when you need it. Same thing holds true for if you need to lock either the rear or both axles. As you get more experience off roading and you start to learn how your Jeep Rubicon will react in certain conditions and/or terrain, remember to set your Jeep up for what it is needing before you start on the technical part. If you’re rock crawling and going up a steep hill, you may just want to keep your Jeep in 4 low with both axles locked and the sway bar disconnected. If you try and do those things as soon as you hit a very technical area, it may be to late. You’re now either stuck and cannot get out or you are now in a situation to where the way the gears are, nothing wants to engage. This is especially true if your Jeep is still pretty new and nothing is broke in yet. 5. When going down a steep hill, definitely make sure that you are in at least 4 low and let your vehicles gearing keep you going down the slope or hill at a slow speed. You can use your brakes but let your vehicles gearing act as the primary tool in keeping you from going down hill too fast. 6. Learn to take the proper lines so your Jeep has a smaller chance of receiving trail damage. 7. Watch your engine and transmission temperatures. If they start getting to hot, especially in summer, then stop, pull off the trail if you can and then let everything cool down. It may take an hour or 2 to cool everything down properly but it’s better to pull over and/or stop on the trail assuming no one is behind you, than blowing up your engine and/or transmission or at best, doing permanent damage to them. Something that you can do to help that is to run full synthetic motor oil and gear oil. The best synthetic engine oil and even gear oil is Ams. Royal Purple and Mobil 1 synthetics are also very good too. Those are the only 3 brands that I will ever use and they all do amazing work at protecting your internal engine, transmission and axle components. 8. Always be cognizant of your approach angle, departure angle and roll over degrees. Thus why you always go slow. 9. If you’re unsure about your own driving capabilities and/or your own Jeep’s capabilities, then follow your gut instinct and don’t do what you are not comfortable with. Especially if your alone and are off roading. 10. A high quality winch will become your best friend! Same thing with an off road vehicle jack, recovery gear like shackles, ropes and so on. These can all save you from getting stranded and/or breaking something on your Jeep. Good luck and welcome to the off road community!

Kristie I pick up my Jeep rubicon 3 months ago and I just driving it. I have a bright white with all the gadgets. I short so I just stand on the rock sliders and pull myself up. My interior is saddled color and the dash black the color inside is beautiful didn’t want the black as to gets to hot . I’ve taken the front tops off as the back ones you need two people, Im happy with just having the front tops off.. there’s a few up grads that I want to do but nothing too much I love it just the way it is. Don’t forget the fire extinguisher very important. I don’t want you best of luck with it. Be careful cause it’s bigger thAn most cars. You video great.

I’m sure you know by now, but the thing that you said was the soft top should be the bag to put your two front top panels “freedom panels” when you remove them so they won’t get scratched :)

Best JL Intro Video ever! Some Off-roading stuff. Some window heating. Some beep beep on parking. Differences 2020 2021? Who cares? I drive 30-50 almost All the time and when I fall asleep it automatically stops. The car is beautiful and that’s all that counts. My suggestion for your first and maybe only mod. Get the front camera (yes your wrangler has one) from the grill to the inside and have it live streaming all the time. 😉

When I first got mines, I did not notice the wind noise right away (keep in mind I have a light bar). Until I turned the radio down 😂. But over the years I grown so use to it I no longer notice it. But again my radio is always on.
Awesome vid! The 2021 Jeep is a beast! Makes me want one again :) Ceramic coating maybe a good idea if you intend to go on gravel roads or mild off roading. The road to Chilliwack lake has a mild bumpy, gravel road some pretty cool views, and not too narrow. There is a little hike to Lindeman lake on the way to Chilliwack lake. Roughly a 45min hike with an extremely cold beautiful lake. At Lindeman there is a cool view of a mountain with rocks that look like gargoyles. Nice mild Jeep trip. * Always remember to keep distance from cars infront of you on gravel, dirt, roads to avoid rock chips to your beautiful Jeep :).
Hey lady! you are so sweet! the Red latch under the AC bottoms in the dash board are the Rubiccon's strong points ! these are differentials front and back locks for extreme off-roading! this is the dream of every off-roader ! Differential locking is something which does not come in most of ordinary 4X4, so enjoy it. These should only be engaged at very low speed and in case of loosing traction (please read about it before using, as it may harm your car if used the wrong way)

Best JL Intro Video ever! Some Off-roading stuff. Some window heating. Some beep beep on parking. Differences 2020 2021? Who cares? I drive 30-50 almost All the time and when I fall asleep it automatically stops. The car is beautiful and that’s all that counts. My suggestion for your first and maybe only mod. Get the front camera (yes your wrangler has one) from the grill to the inside and have it live streaming all the time. 😉

What about wind noise? How bad is it? Any additional comments or feedback about it?
When I first got mines, I did not notice the wind noise right away (keep in mind I have a light bar). Until I turned the radio down 😂. But over the years I grown so use to it I no longer notice it. But again my radio is always on.

Awesome vid! The 2021 Jeep is a beast! Makes me want one again :) Ceramic coating maybe a good idea if you intend to go on gravel roads or mild off roading. The road to Chilliwack lake has a mild bumpy, gravel road some pretty cool views, and not too narrow. There is a little hike to Lindeman lake on the way to Chilliwack lake. Roughly a 45min hike with an extremely cold beautiful lake. At Lindeman there is a cool view of a mountain with rocks that look like gargoyles. Nice mild Jeep trip. * Always remember to keep distance from cars infront of you on gravel, dirt, roads to avoid rock chips to your beautiful Jeep :).

Just paid-off my 2018 JL ... love it & I’m usually more a muscle car guy. Enjoy it; I have Sting Gray, but White is another of my favorites.

the Red latch under the AC bottoms in the dash board are the Rubiccon's strong points ! these are differentials front and back locks for extreme off-roading! this is the dream of every off-roader ! Differential locking is something which does not come in most of ordinary 4X4, so enjoy it. These should only be engaged at very low speed and in case of loosing traction (please read about it before using, as it may harm your car if used the wrong way)
