      All Nuclear weapons are meant for deterrent purpuses. The idea of MAD or Mutually Assured Destruction. The idea of the LGM-118 Peacekeeper, along with all other nuclear weapons, was to instill the amount of fear in an enemy that they would suffer worse than their enemy, so they wouldn't use nuclear weapons in the first place, thereby keeping the peace, hence the name, Peacekeeper

    The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation.

      SS-27
      Launch Weight: 47200 kg or 104058 lbs
      Warhead: 550 Kilotons, estimated weight between 500 and 1000 kg or 1100 or 2200lbs
      Missile Body: most likely Titanium with lightweight composite materials, estimated weight: 3000kg - 5000kg or 6600 - 11000lbs
      Estimated combined weight without fuel in worst case scenario:
      13200lbs
      Estimated Fuel: 90828 lbs or 41192 kg
      Percentage: 87.27%

      @@danuwinartha No it is not answered in the video. The reason: There is nothing "ballistic" about a missile that enters space and needs to re-entry.

      @@jesperlykkeberg7438 The reason is mentioned, but maybe not explained, the missile travels at its fastest speed in space because of no air resistance, so it's done to increase the range of the missile.
