Sorry to double comment…I homeschooled in California. To do so, go to the state board website and file an affidavit for private school. Public school tried to stop me from homeschooling but could not get past the “private school” I put into place with one form honored by the State. There’s a window of time each year it can be signed. The cooperative school is the thing I've wondered about. I don't know why anyone homeschooling would want to do more than what Americans did before the government got in the cog stamping business. That is, put up a one room schoolhouse for the kids in the area. I wouldn't want to go past 30 students. If there was such a school in my area, I'd come teach math and physics in exchange for eggs and milk and meat.
