Hey Jeff! Thanks for taking the time to thoroughly review our outdoor cleaner. We're happy to see the nice before and after photo of your results on vinyl siding. Wet & Forget has no bleach, and requires no rinsing, or scrubbing, just patience the very first time you use it. After an initial deep cleaning like this, we suggest using Wet & Forget as a maintenance tool, spraying at the next first sign of growth (12+ months) and you'll never have to wait months for results again. You also don't have to worry about damaging surfaces as our product is even gentle enough to use on fabric awnings. Thanks again for reviewing our outdoor cleaner.

@Helen Coleman Wet & Forget will not damage any surface it's applied to, including roof membranes. You can use Wet & Forget on virtually any exterior surface including all types of roofs such as epdm.

@@Jeffreviews4u Unfortunately, wet and forget, while not using Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach), utilizes Benzo alkyl Chloride or Ammonium Chloride which have the same active ingredient (Chlorine) as bleach but with much less enviromentally friendly byproducts. Their "NO BLEACH" advertising is only a gimmick. As a professional i have received several calls from homeowners who have bleached out their paint using wet and forget asking if i can fix it, unfortunately at that point the only option is to repaint. Using wet and forget on your roof also has the potential to void your manufacturers warranty as the chemicals used are not typically approved by the shingle manufacturer. I highly reccomend contacting a professional company when it comes to your exterior cleaning needs

I’ve been using this product for several years and it works superbly. Once the rain has eradicated your mold, your surfaces will stay clean and mold free for at least a year...we live in Virginia and it’s very humid here. Our mold on the North side is heavy. When we apply this it cleans the mold off and it stays off for at least two years.

@@crand20033 Hi David...I have only used it on vinyl and brick. That certainly is a good question because this takes a while to work over time, and if you paint right after applying to product it could have a negative impact on its effectiveness. So I would recommend you contact the company directly for that answer.

I have a sandstone walkway on the north side of my house. I would have to pressure wash it every year to remove the green algae that would grow there in the shade and make it dangerous to use in wet weather. For the past five years I have applied wet and forget faithfully in the spring to prevent any return of the slick surface. Thanks to Wet and Forget the sandstone is always clean looking and always safe to walk on.

I use this to clean headstones. Yes, it takes a while cuz it is a biological cleaner. It breaks down mildew and mold that's gotten into the headstone surface. It took 3 weeks for the headstone to look clean and bright. Did a wonderful job considering the headstone had not been cleaned for 30 years. I can send you before and after photos, if you wish. I believe that it also says in the directions that rain and snow will further wash away particles that have been broken down by the wet and forget. It does work, but you have to be patient.

I have been using Wet and Forget for years. Our last house was in a heavily treed area and I would get green mold on the vinyl siding and black streaks on the light colored fiberglass roofing shingles with northern exposure. I used in a pump sprayer and would do an application every 3 years and it worked great. I also use it on concrete, brick and wood decking and have always been happy with the results. My neighbors hire someone to go to the house and pressure wash their homes every year and you can smell the bleach in the detergents. I have recommended it to several other neighbors and they are happy with the results. I just tried it using a pressure washer foam cannon to get to the third story of our house and after a couple of days the green mold is already fading.

I used it on my siding in Virginia - it worked like it said it would. I didn't have any mildew or really bad off stains, but it's definitely a patient-person's cleaner. I just didn't want the harsh chemicals on my lawn, so I think it's a good alternative. A surprise result was there was some sort of really thick, sappy type stuff at the bottom of my siding where the siding comes to the brick. Most of the houses in the community have the same thing. The Wet and Forget ate it all up! I was expecting to have to chip it away with hammer and chisel, but it just disappeared.

Should have added this to my previous comment.
If you need immediate clean you might want to clean first with a different product.....
However, if you want something that will last.... Wet and Forget has turned out to be the best product I have found.
It keeps the growth away.... For me I have not needed to use it every year as recommended.
It has lasted for several years since my last treatment.

I have only ever used it on horizontal surfaces. bricks and concrete driveway and patios.
It took almost a year and I had basically given up.....then one day.....my driveway looked like
the concrete had been freshly poured. It took a long time, but on concrete the results
are stunning. bought some on sale at end of season and will treat this spring. Bricks were
another matter. the pathway is made of "soft, porous bricks, that tend to stay wet most
of the year. The wet and forget removed all algae and mold within a few months.....then,
it was all back and became as it was before treating. So, porous surfaces need to be
treated several times a year. Will use this product as a tool in my mold fighting armory as
long as it is available. It works great on concrete.

.Thank you for the video and your time. I believe the amount of time to see the results and the need to reapply it will depend on the initial amount of mold and algae you have and for how long your siding or roof its been neglected. No criticizing you, I know, we all have the same problem, I will do mine and its no better than yours, no time. Thanks again.

I tried this product about 2 years ago. I used the tank application formula and used my garden sprayer to cover what I could of my tile roof. I checked month after month and saw no real difference and I chalked up the experience as just another product that didn't live up to the hype and I forgot about it.. Then after about 6 or 7 months (I'm in Southern California so we don't get much rain) I noticed the roof was looking much better. After another month or so the roof was completely clear of the green/black stains I had for years. I admit I was amazed. The part of the roof I was able to reach with the sprayer actually looks brand new. Now the only problem is there is a line across my roof where the sprayed part is completely clean and the top half is still covered with moss and mold. 😄 I bought this version with the built in sprayer and reached the top of the roof. Now the waiting game begins.
Bottom line is if you aren't in a hurry...this product is great. And be prepared to wait 6 months or longer depending on your rainfall amounts and how stained your roof is. Eventually you'll see an amazing difference.

I've used it on Marble and Granite Gravestones and it works great. Just as long as you know how to properly mix and the right conditions set to use it.
Mix 5 parts water and 1 part concentrate Wet & Forget - Buy concentrate and mix the premade stuff is a ripoff for what you pay for in volume.
Spray on a dry day where you got 5 hours or more of dry weather on a dry surface
Wait a week. Treat surface with lots of water and use a soft brush
another week later if you have to apply a second coat using same conditions as first application and let it sit.
I found after a month or so of doing what I did above the marble and granite gravestones I cleaned were like new. I imagine the same method can apply to other types of stone/surfaces.

it is not overnight that you get what you are expecting as it does take time. One thing for sure, the green mildew starts to disappear after a couple of days. What I am eagerly waiting is for the black stain to be completely removed. It may take a while and may need another application though but will continue using this wet and forget as I hate to use any bleach. It does shoot approximately 30 ft! Unfortunately, i need to reach more than 30 feet and will try next time to use a ladder and if the weather starts to become mild. I just wish i could attach my pressure washer on this bottle to help gain more height.....will recommend this product!

Comparing the 2 products, it appears that 1 bottle of each product cleaned roughly the same area. At a third of the price, the Mold Armor seems to me to be a better value. In addition to that, you can complete the job in one day (with additional product available locally if needed) as opposed to 2 months to get your house clean. If you run out, again you wait a few days for mail order to be able to finish the job. Does that sound about right or am I missing something?

I used to have 2 very large maples in my front yard, now removed. I just washed my house with an Ortho DialnSpray using a strong cleaner, degreaser, some bleach, and some dish soap. 10 ft step ladder and a car wash brush on the end of a telescoping pool handle. Good as can be expected, and I have hired out to professionals. The 30ft gables are no problem, but I want this year to be the last. Wet & Forget advocates "maintenance". 3 years ago I took the rust off my basement hatchway, hit it with rust preventer, then 2 coats Rustoleum "almond". Close to the lawn & neighbors evergreen ground cover it was getting covered with the black stuff. Last fall I sprayed about 1.5 quarts of Wet & Forget on the bulkhead & let it sit. Today it looks like I just painted it! Now that my house wash is done, I want to spray it all down with Wet & Forget as a preventive measure.
