I'm 72 and it ain't over yet! An op shopper since the dinosaur days, my working wardrobe was peppered with colourful statement jackets and coats, or the odd pop of orange somewhere! Now in retirement, I seem to have morphed into a sporty chic vibe, where a great jacket is still #1 and outfits are elevated by a third garment and/or a third colour.
This is such a stunning video packed full of practical advice, thank you, thank you, thank you Jo. Getting dressed each day is such fun. PS: a huge fan of the crossbody bag since fracturing my wrist last year; being "hands free" was ever so liberating walking, traveling by bus, op shopping or scouring the shelves at the library.

So much to comment about but I will stick to my favorite. "Wear your clothes!" I have been so guilty of "saving" my favorites until I feel special or feel good or in a great mood, etc. They fall out of style or they are no longer my favorites and I find I hardly ever wore them. Awful and I'm doing better. I hope. :) Love your videos!

And I don't know why I've always loved EVERY SINGLE THING that's old. You forgot to mention old books. The smell, the yellowing pages, the brittleness - yes! Vintage handbags, belts, JEWELRY, old architecture, vintage furniture 👌 ♥, vintage cars, vintage ephemera and linens, yes yes yes 🎉. And I'm not even 50 yet 😀

I'm 64 and have been thrifting since 2001! Always a fashion addict and I'm obsessed with looking fabulous everyday. Fortunately, I still work everyday and my job allows me to dress up! I'm not dressed unless my accessories are spot on. Shoes, bag, and of course jewelery. I to love watches. I collect them also and have over 150! Dont get me started on blazers! I bought a vintage, high-quality watch at auction, yesterday. I've gone through four mid-price , cheap-looking watches in the past 3 years which adds up to almost what I paid at auction (couldn't believe I was the only bidder!). I'm so pleased.

Great video. I brought a very expensive feather boa , I wear it gardening in my cocktail dresses . My husband laughs at me , but we don’t go out much. So I do wear my cloths and dress up even if it is just to garden. I love op shopping and have way too many cloths, if that is such thing . I have just discovered your site and am loving it. ❤️

I agree with you. It is not over until is over. My style has evolved, but it always classic and modern with the use of accesories which I love. Since I live in the Caribbean I love boho style and feminine. Great tips.

Thanks for this video. During lockdown, (which in Victoria, Australia lasted 9 months at one point" I learned to do without a big bag and wallet and working from home made a difference to what I needed to carry. I have fallen in love with cross body and small bags and have totally minimised what I need to carry. Love your styling tips 😍 😊

Thanks for the fabulous tips. I love the necktie. I haven't tried it myself but i was thinking about them because scarves really aren't my thing, and they're like a funkier version of jewelery, easier to wear.

I'm 53 now and just ordered my first ever punk style black & red tartan skirt from dangerfield but it's not a mini skirt (a bit tacky I think for my age) it's knee length waiting to see if it arrives and fits..crazy fashion style for me but would pair it with thrifted man's button down shirt and flower pattern cardigan

Even the last few years i have made fashion faux pars (moving towards 50) but thankfully not expensive as i thrift all my wardrobe pieces constantly. I had to let go (skirt lengths, clingy tops ) & move forward to a new me.

I will be 59 on Cinco di Mayo and I have been dreading this I swore before I turned 50 I would cut my hair short I never cut it grew it almost waist length, and just did the butterfly cut on myself .Was blond for the last 20 years until 2020 when I went back to my natural brown color now have grey starting to come in quicker is it the year to go back to blond? Start the transition to Grey? Or keep touching up the grey?

oh at walmart we noticed their accessories this year n some shoes are chanel knock offs but people say walmart shoes are low quality. so pop idea wahtever she was talking about we like it. it's probably art like and like you make the foreground pop in photography which we are trying to improve our photography.

I have bone spurs on my heals. Stilettos haven't been in my wardrobe for more than 30 years. The pain in my feet can be debilitating if I am even a little carless. I have had to style myself around what shoes I can wear. perhaps many an outfit has been spoiled by shoes that fit my orthotics. lol To bad, so sad. I am happy to be up and walking. I'll just have to enjoy other people's cute shoes. 😉
