Excelente video hno.
Thanks, im glad you enjoyed this video, I'll add some subtitles for english speakers later. About your question, its relative, i kinda like both ways, ive been testing them using the first in the chain acting as a clean boost and the other as a higher gain overdrive and viceversa. Both ways sounds pretty good for me. Maybe some time, i will make a video switching them up in the signal chain.
@@TheGASStationYT thanks, that would be awesome! Having seen the PMT video and some of the tones Dagan gets out of his sugar drive, as well as your video, I think I'll try with the Timmy first as a clean boost or a moderate crunchy overdrive into the Sugar Drive set for higher gain lead. I've tried but I just can't get the timmy to not sound flubby (Technical term lol)
@@TheGASStationYT Played about with it a bit at the weekend. I NOW have the amp on the edge of breakup, the timmy first in the chain with gain at 12 o clock to give some drive for crunchy rhythms and at unity volume. Then comes the Sugar Drive with gain at 3pm, and volume just above unity, and tone at around 10pm in order to give me that nice neck blues tone. And if I need a boost, I turn the timmy back on to drive the sugar drive even more. that seems to work well atm
There are two different circuits, one is more influenced by a green screamer-like topology, using the same IC and the other is a completely different approach on an overdrive
Everyone that comes here knows exactly what these are based upon, as well as what the knobs do. Not being harsh, just something to think about. Thank you.
While the Timmy is a great Pedal, this demo is a terrible showcase of the Sugar Drive’s functionality. All the sound loops are extremely loud, the SD blends dynamically between clean and dirty signal based on your volume knob and how hard you’re playing. That’s its whole appeal. That’s completely lost in this demo.
Así deberían ser las comparaciones! Muy buen video
Gracias!

Gracias broder, creo Klon > Timmy, me gusta mas.
Very Nice video! Liked and subscribed! I might even learn some spanish along the way 🙂🤘
Cool comparison, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Gracias!
Asi nos pasa a los gaseosos xd

Just what I'm looking for, but shame I dont speak spanish.
One question if I may
Timmy into Sugar, or Sugar into Timmy?

@@jamiestevens6691 I really dig the timmy-sugar combo

Isn’t the EQ the main difference ?

Timmy sounds better, came for the Sugar Drive, left with the Timmy.
Por qué no los dos?
Cierto? falta un pedal tipo king of tone con ambos circuitos!
MXR cuts through the mix much better - that's really important on a gig.
They are both MXR 😅
which one? heheh
@@TheGASStationYT the non-Timmy
I prefer the Timmy. Timmy sounds more flat/even and the Sugar has more mid range.
i gotta say it, i love both!

Actually not everyone that’s the point
@@TheGASStationYT fair play. Thanks for the video.
