@@charmainepolley1620 it will not, sadly. We did it guys. We watched a silly mini-maker website turn into a 3D-Software website. I literally cannot wait to see "Hero Forge Animations" become a thing.
@@Norwyn I've seen people make what are essentially comic panels with hero forge. But actual 12/24 frame animations would be very fun. I think at a certain point some hero forge users are just gonna jump to blender lmao.
I’ve never understood why Heroforge uses that weird rotation ball joint method, rather than having the gyroscope rings that literally every 3d model software uses
It kind of makes sense in a way. Most (not all) rotations done by these items pre KB are reactions to how something else turns. The items are ment to turn and rotate bases off a point on the characters body. This rotation setup anchors it so it moves correctly with the attached part not independently.
It's weird, cause you have those gyroscopic rings for decal kitbashing, they're already in heroforge and I think they could do with being in more places.
Rotation of kitbashing parts would probably be easier if you could rotate them on the XYZ axis, like when you move and scale them. Because I agree, trying to rotate things with that wobbly-knob-thingy is rather difficult.
14:42 When I saw this all I could think about was how much easier it would have been to scale the amulet up and color it then, rather than color it while it was so tiny.
I just hope that all my minis don't have to be "updated," like they were when they added the faces. I hate having to completely redo something, just to add one new feature.
if you change the size of an item can you reset the scale. That is much needed because if you stretch out an item in a weird and ugly way it would suck to try to get it back to normal size manually. There should just be a button that lets you reset the scale. Like the trash can button that lets you reset your custom poses back to normal.
Some questions/ suggestions that came n my mind about KB: - it would be great to link together various items and then tranform them as a single unit -also if you need multiple cpies of the same item, it would be great to be able to transform/stretch,edit one and then duplicate the edited instance, instead of being forced to repeat the process for each item copy.
The pain and agony of his voice as he uses the red dot style…we are NOT prepared for that pain. (Unless your that rare few crazy people that’s been using the red dots)
A cool thing that might be a good addition is basic snap points like when you place an object on the torso you can instantly snap it to the spot torso clothing would go hope I explained that well
I only have a couple of double models and no glitches that I didn't get from other peoples designs. I am waiting with bated breath to update most of my models with kit bashing. I cannot wait.

I’m kind of scared for kitbashing to arrive, things are going to change so drastically from what I’m used to and so many little tricks I have learned will be redundant. To be fair I felt the same way when they added colour. Very excited to see what people can make.
would be cool if there was like an option to select a body part to attach an item to ykwim? like moving the fox mask from the hand and attaching directly to the face/head with a single click
Are there any current plans to reposition the pivot point/gizmo when you add in an item? I've noticed a few times when you add in an item, it will be in the air but the gizmo controls will be in the floor. It'd be handy if you could move the gizmo to the center of the object
A tip I use for the red indicators since I use them way too much is to have my camera roughly 90° from where I want it so attaching that shoulder pad is essentially holding the indicator to the right. Also, does anyone know if there's a way to easily port someone's colour library when you go pro? Honestly the few hours of mindless copy pasting numbers is one of the big reasons I'm not pro yet lol
correct me if im wrong, im still quite new and have gotten into character making in hero forge in a more "serious" manner fairly recently, but this definitely render double modeling kinda pointless when it comes to adding items, details and such, but i would assume its still fairly useful for clothing layering right? cause sure you may be able to add clothing parts seperately but it will be really awkward if not impossible to make them fit whatever posing you choose with certain pieces. this is fantastic for adding tons of detail and personality to your models, but i dont see it dethroning double modelling completely.
I have a question! Can you add body parts, like extra heads, or limbs, or eyeballs? Once kitbashing comes to pro I was hoping to make an Ahoggya from The Petal Throne series. Thoughts?
People will still use Doudble Modeling to be fair, mainly those who dont want to pay a subscription or need 2 bodies to make some elldring horror abomination... or a mini-kart.
