The thing that bugs me about the "those jobs are meant for teens" argument is that they say that, but then still expect those businesses to be open on weekdays at noon for lunch. You know, when the teens who are supposed to be the only ones in those positions are at school.
Exactly lmao like, how do they except a teenager to be in school AND do their job simultaneously? And lots of adults have those jobs too including myself, not everyone goes to college as soon as they graduate and most of the only jobs you can get with no college degree is retail, food service or factory work.
Are fast food places not open on weekdays at noon for lunch in America??

Can confirm. My ex mother in law was this old black lady with gorgeous hazel/greenish eyes. She was over 60 I think and aside her fading to white hair, she didn't looked over 45. Here In my country we have a saying about the youthful appearance of black people: When a black person has white hair, surely he's over 90

Polythrower I understand where you’re coming from and yes, vaccines can be harmful to some people, but that’s all the more reason for anti vaxers to stop. If you can’t get say, a measles vaccine because it has been determined you are allergic then this honestly shouldn’t affect you as long as everyone around you is vaccinated. However, if everyone around you is not vaccinated due to some idiot conspiracy theories, then you are completely vulnerable and are at serious risk. I have seen many anti-vaxers saying, “why are you scared of getting sick from us? If your miracle cure works so well, you should be fine according to you.” Of course, these people are wrong and they are a big danger to public health and people who cannot get vaccinated due to allergies, end up suffering

When you brought up civ ghandi I lost it.
For those who don't know, due to a bug in Civ1 ghandi was trigger happy with nukes and the most agressive civilization leader in the game. This became a tradition for all other games.
As I recall it was an integer underflow caused by the fact that by default gandhi had the lowest aggression value possible but there were a number of events that could lower the AI's aggression lacking any check for a minimum value so his would just wrap around to max when it occurred. Heh yes I am a nerd but someone might find it interesting lol.
@@seraphina985 That is entirely correct, Ghandi in normal play would start out very calm, but as soon as one of those events flagged him to lower his aggression he went haywire and destroyed everything. This was of course caused by the exact thing you described on a technical level. Integer under/overflows are honestly one of my favorite types of glitches in games it leads to things like unkillable Eggman in Sonic 1, cakes that can be baked for +3 milion years and still be baked to perfection, and of course homicidal Ghandi

r slash longevity. Scientists are working on it. But right now the best that can be said is to eat a diet best suited for your body, fast periodically, and exercise. Otherwise it's all up to the "longevity genes" -- which can be activated by high-intensity exercise, fasting, and a diet that provides the processes of rejuvenation what they need. Not that there are a set of clearly defined processes of rejuvenation. But autophagy (particularly activated by fasting and exercise), is a big one.

Can be genetics, I noticed many of my Asian contacts look incredibly young until they hit 50 or 60.
It's often rapidly downhill from there.
@@2DReanimation I have heard of this before! I do try to eat a decent diet, I have a dietitian at the MS Society that helps me and has explained a fair bit about how to eat better for my conditions. It really is very helpful.
Unfortunately my diagnosis happened to happen in a way that left me incapacitated in my bed for 8 months, and I went from 80kg to 49kg.. and a lot of it was muscle, as well. :(
Unfortunately what I can do in terms of exercise is limited, but I do attend a group physiotherapy session every week and I tend to walk most places, like the local store. I don't have my license unfortunately, so it's walking and Uber-ing around!
I do love walking my fluffchild though, and he likes to go for long walks and go everywhere haha.
As long as I keep active is the most important part.

@Azuraion Wow, it's so rare to have some actual connection with someone online. I was mostly just promoting the efforts of life-extension science. But I get a beautiful and humbling glimpse of a life story.
I'm of the mind that if you look deep enough, you can find actual solutions to disease. Well-hidden and unconventional, yet with significant scientific support.
You clearly have to support the myelination of nerves with healthy oils, perhaps best would be phospholipids, as they are better assimilated. And modulate your immune response with something like methylene blue. Which is neuroprotective by itself, but also lowers the autoimmune response. Other powerful antioxidants and adaptogenic substances (reishi, chaga, cordiceps, schisandra) can be of help here as well. I'd probably pick chaga to begin with, as it's universally well-tolerated.
I'm not a doctor, and I will be looking into these things concerning MS myself -- these are just intuitive suggestions. And as we know, there's no cure, but I'm sure these 2 things are the yin and yang of an actual cure. But I'm not sure about my particular suggestions. Might do more harm in the long run, and so on, but I personally doubt it.
Take long walks with your dog, and appreciate every moment! :)
If you're actually going to try at least chaga, something my mother takes, and she has Chron's disease, I would recommend it in the mornings (pre-brew it the night before), as it does activate autophagy. And personally I feel its benefits more in the mornings.
