    Birdhouse in your soul IMO is the MAGIC of a perfect voice box at that specific pitch and the end of tape/hardware compression/good mic era before we went in the box. Whoever produced the VOCALS on that track was either a happy accident or knew his signal chain. Also the bass was aggressive and the guitar was scooped which is anti modern production which is why it's good
