    I picked one of these up. Was going to switch it out for a leather Search but ended up keeping it after giving it a try. The "shared spaces" haven't been an issue at all. I carry two devices in the laptop area, don't notice any intrusion into the main space. All the random cords and charging bricks in the bottom compartment and forget about 'em unless I need one. Umbrella fits perfectly in the left side pocket. The main pocket stays clean and is plenty large enough for all my needs for a 2 day trip. It's not my favorite looking (Search) but I've found it to to be super useful and it's now my main EDC. Thanks for the vid.

    This bag really pretty and exactly what I want, long and not too bulky, and lower compartment makes it perfect.

      How would you use the lower compartment??

    • @wazwuz205

      I bring a device (arcade stick) that goes inside main compartment, and couple of shirts can go into lower compartment cushioning and protecting my main device.
      Btw, I just bought it today after watching your review. Will get a modular pouch and zip puller to decorate it just like yours ❤.

    Great reviews, it's so hard to figure out what is the best Tumi backpack, and at such high prices (worth every penny), you want to make the right choice. Thanks for the thorough reviews. I'm still deciding but i love all the loops (is that what you call them?) available on the Renegade. And by the way, thanks for introducing me to Zipper Pulls, SO FREAKING COOL! Never heard of those.

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  Год назад

      Totally agree, which is why I own too many Tumi bags haha. The Tumi+ accessories are kind of a let down in my opinion, so if that was a motivating factor d suggest reconsidering. The only ones I use now days are the small and extra small pouches. The renegade is still a great bag even if you never hook anything to it at least. And yes zipper pulls go on every bag now 😂

    Biogear great review. Between renegarde, nomadic, expedition which is best for few days clothes plus office. I am torn between all three. Please suggest , also in my country for Nomadic I am getting only grey orange color. Is that good one to get?
    Also in my area due to sales Nomadic Grey, Expedition Blue and Renegade Blue are same priced. So confused, which one to get for office and week long travels etc.

    Great review. What TUMI backpack would you recommend for daily office use ? Will need it for documents, lunchbox, pens, and gym gear and toiletries?

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  Год назад

      I carry less than that, so for you I'll recommend one that can fit a bit more. The Search and Nomadic are 2 of my favorite for being med-large. The Esports Pro Large backpack is also outstanding but is a bit bigger. The shelf inside is super convenient. I did videos on all of those, check them out!

    Hi, great review. Do you mention the possibility to put shoes in the bottom pocket. Does that really work? Did you try?

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  Год назад +1

      I didn't try it, my shoes are too large. Small size pairs would likely fit, especially shoes that can squish flat.

      I bought a used one earlier in the year and it was really floppy so i just sold it off again. May have to get a new one and review it :)

    • @James-zy4nc
      @James-zy4nc Год назад

      @@BioGear yea it’s a bit floppy. I personally prefer that over the typical structured pack that Tumi is known for. Outside of that, it’s been solid… very comfortable and seems to fit just what I need without a ton of extra space. Most importantly, it doesn’t add a ton of bulk.

    Question- For business and 1-2 nights of clothing, which backpacks would work for that?

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  7 месяцев назад

      For something like that I’d say maybe the Search or Nomadic would fit happily, or possibly the Navigation when expanded

      @@BioGear Navigation over the renegade for packing space? I know you have the Nomadic as the top

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@kohapetfood yeah personally I love the navigation and nomadic. Nav for daily carry and nomadic is good at daily but amazing for travel. Renegade just didn’t do it for me but I wouldn’t disqualify it

    thanks for the video BioGear. Question, I like having a pocket/pouch at the bottom of my backpacks. Between this Renegade and the bottom extension on the Nomadic backpack, which do you believe is better? If all else is the same, just the bottom pocket/pouch? thanks in advance

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  Год назад +1

      My personal opinion is the nomadic is a more functional, straightforward backpack. The bottom pocket on the renegade is neat but I don’t know how I’d utilize it. The expansion in the nomadic is something I also do know when I’ll use but if the need arises I can always expand the main compartment, otherwise it’s just a wonderful bag regardless that fits my personal needs more. I love the extra top pocket and interior side pockets on the nomadic, as well as the larger side pockets and less-baggy laptop compartment.

    Found this site - love the reviews - Nick. I need a backpack that: Holds a MacBook Air 15, 10" iPad, Steam deck, chargers/psus for them and supporting cables, but then also 1 shirt, 1 shorts 1 socks and toilet back (airport security size) - what do you recommend? Effectively and overnight bag.

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  Год назад

      Thank you! Honestly a Navigation could potentially carry all that (especially if you expand it) but a Search or Nomadic would more easily fit it all with some room. I did carry a similar size load in my Esports (medium) backpack and that was a pleasure. The ipad was a mini though :P

    Do you like this or the Search better? I’m still tempted to return my Search and pull the trigger on a Nomadic. But this may be an option too.

      I prefer the search, this backpack didn’t vibe too well with me. The nomadic is also an incredible backpack.

    • @MikeMCT

      @@BioGear thanks - I wish I could find a Nomadic in stock some place to look at! They are backordered. I may just return the search while I can and make the comparison when I can see them side by side - from the outside and the size of the main compartments - that’s what I’m really focused on.
      Thanks,
      Mike

    Tumi’s quality control has issues. I bought Alpha Brief and 5 weeks into average use, the stitching came undone on the interior. Went to the store and they had to send it back to be repaired. This process has taken 5 weeks now and still my bag isn’t back. They wouldn’t exchange it. So, for the 2.5 months I’ve owned a brand new tumi bag, it’s already spent half that time in the shop. These bags aren’t built to last past the warranty. Total rip off

    • @BioGear
      @BioGear  Год назад

      Thanks for the feedback. I love their bags, but for the money they sure as hell better take care of their customers. Let me know what happens with that, and definitely make a phone call in to customer support.
