@MKBHD I"m a photographer and use the Peak EDC V2. I'm impressed you got a 16" into the 20L I'm sure it's a snug fit and doesn't leave alot of room for a ipad too. Wanted to give you a little tip I found on that bag, here goes: The main compartment has a pass through to the top zip area where phones, airpods, etc go. You just have to fish a cable through the corner. I do this by unzipping the side compartment enough to fish through the cable. It makes it so I can leave a pass through USB travel battery charger with folding prongs, that means I plug in all my devices when they're in the zip area (laptop, phone, tablet and airpods) and they all get charge from the battery AND when I get to the hotel late, I just plug one one cable into the wall outlet and I hear all my devices chime in unison that they are now charging neatly in place. Not only that when they're done charging the battery starts charging. I wake up with everything ready to go. Hope you enjoy trying this out. :)
@@EliShirk haha, not likely but if anyone else wants to see the setup I can take a few photos, maybe some links. The only real revelation is that you can get a cable to that zipper laptop compartment from the main compartment just by feeding it through the folds in the fabric. The possibilities are really endless after you discover that :)
Do you find the shoulder straps to be complete garbage, as I do? I just got it delivered and packed it and tried it on and WOW the straps completely ruin the bag for me. Returning it and trying a different brand. Why the hell decided to put MAGNETS the size of quarters inside the strap right by your shoulder 🤦♂
@@a1i3nz02 I thought the straps were comfy, at least enough for me to not even think about it. For me the biggest annoyance is they want to spread off my shoulders slightly but if I tighten them down with the quick tighten loop it works. I never even knew where the magnets were located. I feel like the magnets could be a bit stronger, I also never know if it's meant to lock in place with the straps criss crossed or not. The 20L was too small for me. I returned it in favor of the 30L. Remember the 30L is the volume with the top fully expanded.
Great video Marques! Fun fact for the pixel, in the developer settings you can force 120hz. It’ll definitely impact the battery, but it could be a good work around until Google fixes the bugs
I really love this series "what's in my backpack" . Love your idea behind using android and ios both. You forgot to mention smartwatch , power bank you use the most .
An aluminum Cellular Series 7 iirc, and I'm not sure why he'd need a power bank. We literally have chargers everywhere around us. Would make sense for his travel backpack, but not really for an everyday backpack.
This video looked very genuine especially when Marques was skeptical about what will come out next out of his bag just like it happens with us (everyone) 😂
The only thing is the apple earphones as they weren't really that good and had some technical difficulties. But he can afford it and has the ecosystem so sort of makes sense
Hey Marques! I know these sound insignificant, but since you rarely update your little dongles/accessories that you carry around and your apps on your home screens, I think it would be interesting to get a little maybe quarterly series where you talk about any changes and what you'd like to see changed/simplified with those work flows. Just an idea!
You are carrying great tech, and it makes total sense that you are rellying more and more on Apple, their ecosystem is really good. I am an Android user and don't stick to just one brand but my wife is All-Apple and she really likes how seemless everything is. Cool stuff Marques.
I remember when Marques used to be the android guy… now the first 3 things he pulls out are apple products. MacBook, AirPods, and keys with AirTag. Shows the apple ecosystem effect
MacBook is just a good product at the moment, airpods max are the best sounding wireless anc headphones (if money no issue, which it's not for him), air tags are better than the competition imo. I don't own a single Apple product (not since a iPod touch 3rd gen anyway). Those are just good products with the exception of the airpods max.
I'm not really bias toward either Apple or Android but like I can't deny the apple ecosystem is so nice and basically seemless to me , I love it. Though I don't carry and iPhone but I do use MacBook pro , iPad pro , airpods and they work perfect with each other maybe eventually I'll switch to an iPhone again.
@@JoeNokers That's all fine and all, but the fact is Apple has a 10% global marketshare, so presumably 90% of people watching this video were going wtf. I get this is MKB the individual, but an alternate version for the 90% of people who aren't Apple customers might be useful (he is intimately familiar with all the various ecosystems after all).
I mean it makes sense, if you have even just an iPhone alone, the Apple Watch works better than the competition on that phone, the AirPods give you full use of its capabilities, and AirTags, well, are self explanatory. If the pixel had a watch or over-the-ear headphones, I’m sure there would be more Android/Pixel accessories.
Same feeling for me with the pixel 6. Odd that it's getting more buggy over time... Also, it hurts seeing Dark Sky on the iPhone. I loved that app on Android.
Pixel 6 has been disappointing for me as well. All the little things go wrong and it's quite irritating on a daily basis. Planning to switch back to Samsung soon
@@Escape.Velocity Haven't tried Carrot, but I've been using Shadow Weather since Dark Sky stopped working and it's been a decent replacement. It has a similar UI, but isn't quite as good IMO as Dark Sky. Will have to try Carrot for comparison.

Can't wait for the Linus tech tips backpack they are putting slot of thought into it and hopefully the layout is perfect. I find it hard to find a pack that I layed out in good way
The LTT backpack will be a damn good backpack, but it's only focused at gamers and computer people, therefore hauling cameras might work, but it wouldn't do as good as a purpose designed bag... A person like mkbhd would be a better fit for making a photography/videography bag... Linus actually mentioned that as he's a gamer/tech focused RUclipsr he wants those in other prospective fields, to make their own bags, as opposed to taking a bag specifically designed for storing laptops and handheld consoles and adopting it, because the hardware would do better in it's own specialized backpack... Or something to that effect
At a projected price of around $250-$300, just because of the materials, as well as what little markup they make to cover shipping and their pennies on the dollar, of profit, the LTT backpacks are guaranteed to be good... I mean he was $1mil in the hole at the end of last year just for merch and merch R&D, so that should tell you a bunch about his dedication to quality. Again though, it depends on what you need it for, as his merch is designed with gamers and techies in mind, so it wouldn't be the best camera bag.
Maybe you already tried it but I love the app „structured“ as a day planner as everything in it looks super clean and everything is linked with the apple calendar app. The only downside I know would be that it is only compatible with apple devices.
Oh my goodness! I literally love this app!! I bought the full version (very cheap, think it was $3) and it’s awesome. I use it every day and it reminds me to do my work!
Hey marques, loved the video. I have a question regarding pixel 6. Now that you have been using it for a while, would you still recommend it for its price? I'm thinking of buying one in march but now that you mentioned that its gotten very buggy I'm wondering if I should just wait for pixel 7 instead. Would love your opinion on this. Thank you.
Yeah, I just bought the pixel 6 pro and im absolutely in love with it. The bugs are very minor on my end and easy to workaround. I truly enjoy this phone :)
Bugs usually aren't a problem after a software update which Google is pretty on top on. They aren't really a big deal anyway but I guess it depends on the person. Id personally suggest waiting until the new Samsung Galaxies next month.
@@cameronbosch1213 don't know what you're talking about quite honestly, I've got the s21 ultra and I've never been more in awe of a phone, even MKBHD said had it as phone of the year and it's been out for a while. S22 ultra/note is almost tempting me to upgrade in a year and I've never upgraded for any less than 2 years
I feel like an interesting new video idea you could do would be like an MKBHD app review. I definitely think it should go in a different direction than typical app reviews, but you could make it like a contest where people submit their favorite apps and you rank your personal favorites or you could just choose a category of app and then REALLY try to home in on the very BEST app in category X. Just an idea for taking the channel in a bit of a different direction.
Most of the things that I really love on my android phone right now is Niagara launcher. The launcher really minimalist and all it's features look great. Hope you can take a look on that launcher since Pixel launcher its kind of boring right now.
Im never face slows down even it getting much better. This launcher getting good every single update. Not regret move to this launcher from other launcher (e.g pixel launcher, nova launcher, lawnchair)
I actually have a question. If not for the camera equipment; what bag would you get to carry around your daily driver tech? Would you still use the same bag or would you go with a more compact option?
Marques , I enjoy crying A LOT while watching this video series since 2018 ... Egypt has literally nothing of these products , 😭😭😭💔 this is really sad , really painful, but I love you man, I wish you the best ... ❤️❤️
I love how much people are just obsessed with the Weather app. I mean really, I have never even opened mine since I bought my phone. I just Google the Weather when I want to know and that's like once in a blue moon when I am planning a trip somewhere.
You would need to do that daily. If it's too cold I have to take a coat. Or if it's snowing I need thicker socks. For rain my outfit also changes. It's better to just get a quick update of the weather as soon as you wake up and plan accordingly 🤣. So I get the obsession. I'm part of it.
Having shot Canon for 20 years I switched the Nikon in 2016. Love both brands, but prefered the Nikon ergonomics with the dual command dials rather than the Canon methodology of the 4 buttons on the top plate. R5 really improved that but I love the ISOless nature of the Nikon sensors. Canon is getting better in that regard but still behind Nikon and Sony.
Actually Nikon is behind Canon and Sony. Just look a the reviews and tests. Canon R5 or R6 is way better than Nikon, even than Z6 II or Z7 II. The tracking itself is out of this world. Indeed with the latest update from Nikon my Z6 is much stickier when it comes to tracking but is still not comparing to Cannon R5 or R6. At the end of the day, if you are happy with the results, brand camera doesn't matter.
@@user-op8fg3ny3j Well, the camera itself I never tested. Keep in mind that is a crop sensor camera. Be that as it may, its still a mirrorless camera. More light, more compact than a DSLR. Also, Z50 or ZF-C should do the job.
Yeah, I'm regretting upgrading from my note 9 to the pixel 6. Never had a problem with the note other than it's recent battery decline (had it for almost 4 years). This pixel 6 is sooooo buggy and annoying!
Dang. Was thinking of upgrading to the Pixel 6pro from 1+5t... Not exactly a fan of Samsung and don't want to spend $1000. Probably $800. That's disappointing to hear it's been getting buggier.
@@mas96 I just don't want to pay that premium for a phone. I only use my phone for about 3 things. Plus, I live the ability to truly customize on Android.
@@jsupensky I hear you. I'm done with paying for flagship phones with that heavy price tag if I'm only gonna trade it in in a couple of years. I only use my phone for the internet, reddit/IG/RUclips, and Spotify so it's not justified for me. I also don't get why people are raving over the camera. It's hella over sharpened, almost like an HDR effect. I definitely would not recommend this phone.
For an office backpack my wife and I love the ones from NOMATIC. Mine carries a laptop, second monitor, extra keyboard and mouse, laptop stand, gaming headset, and Oculus Quest 2 (because I'm a game dev).
I like that he says that the Pixel became buggy after a while. I think it's important that he updates us more often on devices he reviewed. I feel like smartphones manufacturers are making phones to be really good for the first month or so and degrade really quickly over time because that makes for a great review but the components are not meant to be used that intensely.
For a to-do list, I really like using the "Scheduled" list of the iOS reminders, which only shows the upcoming reminders and their times. This way, I can just tell Siri via my watch or HomePod to add another to-do (reminder) at a specific time and date. Game changer for me, personally

I use it every day, it's still like new, and man I love it. Their tech pouch and wash pouch are both excellent too. Their support also seem stellar so far. Very happy to support them!
Most great bags are pricey. I had sticker shock for the black ember forge but also wished I bought it sooner than I actually did. Peak design has some great larger travel bags too
Yes. I bought the v1 from launch. Been 4/5 years now if I’m correct. Use it everyday and haven’t bought another bag since. Where as before I’d change my bag yearly. It’s the perfect bag for me.
I’d honestly be surprised if you (or anyone for that matter) are still checking the comments on here, but on the off chance ya are, you can actually get a stamp made with your signature on it so instead of having to physically sign things you can just smack it with a stamp. Granted that’s assuming you’re signing enough stuff that the convenience outweighs the potential security risk of it ending up in the wrong hands. That being said they can be pretty useful.
When it comes to everyday tech stuff, Marques doing it great. 🔥🔥 If you compare with other RUclipsrs - those buggers stupidly carry tons of items in same category. Like : 4-5 headphones, 5-6 power banks and power bricks, 3-4 cameras, 6-8 phones, 3 laptops and tons of cables 😂😂 damn... dude.... especially the UrAvgConsumer, call himself Average Consumer but his everyday stuff are always 2x beyond average 😂😂😂
That's kinda the Apple way (i.e. The Ecosystem). It's awkward to have Apple + non-Apple stuff that you want to interact. So if you like one thing, you end up wanting the other devices too.
Returned my 12 Pro Max and 13PM. I thought i could get used to them but the size and weight combo are too much. I always get back to the regular Pros. It’s the perfect balanced iPhone. Size, weight, and battery
Urghh I'm a nosy person and I love to see what's inside people's bag 😅 just to take inspiration what I could put into mine. I hope more tech youtubers will do this.
Take whatever you use often. Nothing more. It will only bulk up your bag. I tried doing that but I ended up with two backpacks. I have a laptop, chargers for that and my phone, a notepad + pencil and a powerbank. My backpack is already to heavy in my opinion.
I have the Peak Design Everyday Backpack Zip for everyday use (as well as their Travel Backpack but too big for everyday use), and I would also suggest using their Tech Pouch for all your cables, I love that thing.

I wish i had such a backpack, would help with studying and overall daily life, great job on the video, always impressed with the quality and the content provided!
I would include a tactical flashlight in the bag. I highly recommend the BLF Special Edition. It was made for a community who had a laundry-list of prerequisites and all of them were met. 1600 lumens, pairs well with the LG brown 18650 battery. I'm never far away from one, I own more than one.
Computational audio on the Airpod Max to hear the difference maybe. There should be an on/ off switch for that on its companion app if there isn't when one wants to hear the original audio as it is.

Please make a video demonstrating your Peak Design charging setup.

Not even quarterly I just say have one dedicated video a year for it.

Yeah I'd like to see the "alternate" pack he would do if you _weren't_ "team Apple".

I hope it’s well made. I’m a big backpack snob when it comes to quality lol
