My 45l travel backpack is the BEST. Big fan of peak design bags and the brand as a whole.
I trust Lawrence to tell me the truth corporate doesn't want me to hear. That being said, 30L Everyday Bag is clearly the best (and that's not because that's the bag I own and traveled across Europe last summer with...)
One thing I‘m missing in your product line is a suitcase. I own many bags from you but I haven’t found a single suitcase as well made as my bags. That’s the dream - a suitcase by Peakdesign.

When ever i see someone with a PD bag, i am like "brother" internally. Never can bring myself to say something xD
i love 30L travel backpack. you should be make a smoller camera cube forr 30L version. A cube with no need to expand backpack, a little cube for smaller camera, a little cube to rule them all, one little cube to find them, one little cube to bring them all and in the darkness bind them!
WHEN IS THE PD EVERYDAY BACKPACK V3 COMING?
Almost unnecessary. Don't have a fault to find with the v2 and only had a couple small faults to find with the V1. Maybe it could be a little lighter, but I wouldn't choose that at the expense of it's durability. Pretty much any change would be shifting its focus and thus changing what it is for, except perhaps material technology improvements. Don't know if there is a significantly better material for them to use that would be worth a new iteration.

I use the travel 30L and the zip 15L and they both are amazing and versatile ! The travel 30 is very confortable even for daily carry during walks in the woods when I need room to put jackets, telephoto lens, or for pic nics days with friends...The zip 15 is very confortable and nice for every day with one camera and one lens or more, and the midnight color is awsome. I travel with my Everyday 30L v1. I have been traveling on average, 20-30 weeks a year, for the past 7 years with my Kickstarter backpack, and it looks practically brand new. The only thing that are wearing are the padding and the zipper tape on the laptop/top pocket access.

Same here. The top layer of the padding is nearly gone and the zipper has come loose from one side of the backpack. But otherwise the backpack is still in top shape. Great bag!
Would u get it over the travel bag?
@pascalpascal2044 for TRAVEL? No. I travel for work, so the EDB is a really good combo of travel and work utility. All PD bags are, but definitely more so, it's suited for business and office use.
If you're going straight like backpacking through Europe or Asia or something, capacity and utility are key. I don't have any travel bags except the duffel, but it's easy to see the travel backpack would be better in that situation.
For me, for day trips, or overnight trips, short 1 week trips, my EDB is perfect. Enough space for a day trip by itself, or complimented by a small carry on for the other journeys
I just got the PD everyday 20L. working out how best to set up. and thinking 30L might be better with the 100-400 lens and bigger body camera. But what I really want to say is Lawrence is a blast to watch and listen to.
I really hope there is a chest strap designed for the Totepack. I created my own and now I use the bag as my daily compared to my other Peak Design bags. The Totepack's center of gravity just feels so much better on my back compared to my other bags when carrying my camera gear. My favorite bag at the moment. Sadly not using my 30L as much because of it.
Honestly, I've tried WAY TOO MANY of your bags, and while they all have their place, I think my fave allrounder is the tote pack. The everyday is just burlier than I really want it to be, although it is great as my climbing bag, I love being able to separate my shoes, and shorts, and chalk out, and the external carry for STINKY shoes on the way home is a great way for airing them out (and hopefully not too gross for the other folks on the train,. but the tote pack is just great, I've even been able to use it when shooting shows with a medium format body, two digitals and a bunch of lenses, and it still had lots of space for my laptop and iPad. great bag

I would love a travel backpack with all the zippers of the 45l And all the same features but in a 20l I think that would be a perfect every Having front back and side access really lets you organize things inside and then get to it without rummaging through everything else

Well, I just want to give some love to the underrated and I think discontinued Everyday Tote V2. I use it for life stuff. I use it for family and engagement shoots - the size is perfect for when couples want to bring a bottle of something to pop outdoors.
I have the 30l travel in coyote brown. It's perfect for daily use and great on trips too
Still can't decide between Black and Sage Travel 30l, bought Sage but I am not sure if I like it as I would like Black

I use the Travel 30L and notice even in heavy rain, I don't see me using my rainfly. So, I was wondering if Peak could design some sort of hook attached to the rainfly loops with a bag for extra storage? I can see this space being extremely useful with the right accessories.
Duuude, you forgot to say that Travel 30l is expandable and that's why it can be used both as Travel and Everyday
I start with everyday bagpack 30L v2 with lots of gear, but my back and shoulder suffer so much weight when carry too much gear, so after I bought the everyday bagpack zip 15L, I used it for everyday bagpack now, but just under estimate it was just so small, so I think the perfect size for me maybe a zip 20L, and talking about comfortness, maybe I will pick a travel bagpack 30L.
I really wish you made the travel 30L with side access, it would a perfect size and configuration for me, combining photography access for a small mirrorless system with the small camera cube with the ability to quickly reconfigure for open space capacity when required, or carry a bunch of other stuff with the camera gear safely separated in it's own cube. I hope you consider making a 25 or 30L camera cube/side access bag in the future, I think it would make an amazing photography day bag compatible with the rest of your system!
Just get the 30l everyday, if you need side access or the 45l. On the 30l travel side access doesn't really make sense.

I found the Peak Design Everyday Backpack's Zip Bone color to be extremely attractive, and I really like how well-designed and sturdy the backpack is while being lightweight. I looked for my first camera bag, but it wasn't big enough to fit my MacBook Air 15". I would have preferred a bigger size. Please think about to take that into account thank you.
@Peak Design Do you have any plans for a V2 of the 45L travel backpack?
I would love to see a backpack of similar volume (35L - 45L) with a few updates:
Comfort - wider shoulder straps and hip belt. Maybe adjustable suspension system?
Simplification - side access is nice. Maybe leave it one side only.
Organization - more mesh pockets inside (like the side pockets on the 3OL variant)
I’d like to see them cut weight at the same time. The bag is burly enough to protect the gear, and a camera cube is burly enough to protect the gear separately. I hardly use a camera cube separately, thus, having that double protection seems a bit excessive.
I’d love to see what you guys would do in a luggage case

Personally I have the everyday 20l. Most airlines accept it as a personal item together qith a carryon. On the other hand is quite lighter than the 30l. To me it is the soft spot, to the point a friend had the 30l and after few time sold it and bought a 20l.
Everyday 30L v2 is beast.
May I ask you which bags are able to be used as an cabin luggage for the most of Europe flights and which will be the best for professional photographer? I use now your 45l travel backpack, but it is too big for cary on, so I am now finding some other bag from Peak Design, that will fit and together will be as big as possible. Thanks for reply...
i love my duffel pack. the most reasonably priced. i DO live out of it in my truck (actually van) when going on family trips. never had a problem with it as a carry-on. just don’t overpack it.
I wish you guys also make an everyday bag that's NOT made for just photographers in mind, but also regular people that wants your quality products without the heft. Make it light but durable instead of heavy and bulky

I like my 15L bone color everyday zip better than 20L backpack and totepack bag. It’s light, easy to configure and fits enough gears without breaking my back.

hi, i know the 30L bag can fit up to 16" laptops. However I recently got an 18" with the dimensions of 0.86 by 15.74 by 10.83 inches. Would it fit the laptop slot? if so I'm buying the bag asap as I can't find a camera bag that fits my laptop for travels.

I just got the 30L backpack. It's fantastic. I'm just trying to figure out what the pocket that hides the lower connection loops is for. It's upside down, so it can't hold much.
Edit: Straps. It holds the straps while not in use. That way they're always ready to go and already hooked on to the bottom loop. It's great.
Working in a hospital, I've been able to stuff several face masks in that lower pocket, as well as 1-2 ribbon charging cables for quick access everyday.
@@TheTimonate great idea about storing masks in it. I'll try that. I've been using the bag a lot and that little strap flap is really handy. So far I'm loving it.
Travel Backpack 45L all the way! Got it in black for some years now and what can I say?!
Never will own another back again I hope. Everyday is perfect in compressed. But then life happens, you know? Spontaneous grocery shopping or something or you want to stow your coat in there because it gets hot. boom non-compressed or expanded come in. I can travel with it live for about a week out of it. If there is a washing machine around somewhere that is enough. I can fit my bulky 15" dev laptop and my private 15" ultrabook in it... Never missing for something again. When I go outdoors I can use the straps etc to externally fasten things like a mat.
Hip belt is good for lugging stufff around, always classified as carry-on and I looove it!
Clear thing for me but I am a tall man. As a woman I might take the Everyday Backpack
That would be nice if the totepack is a bit shorter. No, I’m not talking about the other everyday tote. That one is too wide.

I had them all at one point. The only functional ones as a pro video/photo guy who travels is the PD 45L and the 10L sling. Everything else is useless. The everyday bag's side access makes a mess when doing gigs. You can't lay it out and grab what you need without putting everything out. The messengers are nice but dont pack enough space. Wish they would have released a roller carry on and stopped implementing side access. It's nice for amateur use but terrible for pro use. A clam shell opening would have been a winner. The PD 45L is almost there but the straps tear thru your shoulders and the cubes add weight and occupy space. The manfrotto advance or even the PM nomatic and the Shimoda has more functionality.
