I heard THE DOOBIE BROTHERS were just nominated.....about time!! So maybe BTO will be next. They are 2 of my favorite bands along with THE WHO and FOGHAT
BTO, The Guess Who, Boston, Foreigner, and others. It is the Rock and Roll hof, not music hof. Not complaining but a couple of acts should never have been inducted.
2 great great legends...titans of the rock n roll music....un frigging real they are good old Canadian boys.....masters at work.....GOD BLESS THEM ....
Good to see Fred Turner again after all these years. He lost a lot of weight, which surely helped keep him alive. i grew up with these guys. god bless them.
My too are in my 56 yo and BTO was my first BTO album back in 1980... and Give Me Your Money Please and Blue Collar always are my favourites, kudos to you Marcy from Guadalajara, México 7/july/2019 ✌😎
That's BACK-man, not Bach-man lady! Fred Turner can still bring it! He sounds exactly the same now as he did in the 70s! Listening to his singing style you'd think he'd have blown his voice out long ago. Obviously not. Such a powerfull singing voice, but a very soft spoken man. Both guys are still great.
Rock and roll at its apogee. BTO rocked me through some of the best times of my life. Thanks for the great interview and thanks guys for a lifetime of really cool tunes.
I remember seeing the "Not fragile" album cover in Sears when it came out (I was 12 yrs. old and had only heard "Takin care of business" at that point) with the gears sticking out of a box and thinking "oh yeah, I can get behind this" and my mom being the coolest mom ever buying it for me and I've been a fan ever since!
A fantastic Band i heard as little Boy because my Brother plays at home electric Guitar. I was in Groundschool Class 2, i heard Deep Purple, Status Quo, Lords, BTO, Alice Cooper and much other great Stars. Fine Interview 👍😃
When I was a teenager, I used to go to danced every week. I loved dancing to BTO. I didn't care for the slower and more sedate type of dancing. I'd always move with the beat, like the kids do nowadays. Got the idea from KC and the Sunshine band. He couldn't stay still.
That's right! I have been very priveledged throughout my life to meet such wonderful men as you. Honest, sweet, passionate, and compassionate. Gentle, too. When they show their emotions, I always want to support them and never, ever exploit them. They are such wonderful "creatures" You guys are God's gift to us. Thank you for posting your comment, even tho I didn't upload this video. Blessings, dear.
Not Fragile. Legend 70's album. I grew up with it. Meat and potatoes rock and some tasty desert with Randy's jazz improvs. Classic album. Bands of today take note.
I don’t know if they’re in the American music Hall of Fame yet this is pretty old I guess this video, but they certainly should be in the American music Hall of Fame they are way better than most bands
Y'know, I'm of the age (45) where I should be all into "classic rock" as gospel, annoying the shit out the kids of today but I got over and past all that by 1984 - EXCEPT for BTO and Led Zeppelin. Some might think I'm insane for putting BTO in league w/ Zep. I got "Not Fragile" and another BTO 8-track from Columbia House in Summer of 1976 and I've loved them ever since. I couldn't explain why til I grew up though. It's their honesty, they're like your buddies. And Turner's voice still kills!
I agree with you... I'm 61 now, BTO was definately on my rolling ages, but stuck as a special... maybe 'cause they were canadian, but mainly cause they were different!
I'm from Leeds in England Bachman turner overdrive are up there with the best I've got a loft full of vynal and everything I can get on CD an immense band rock on!!
If you want a description of Fred's singing voice...think of a runaway dump truck full of logs coming down a gravel road being driven by Wiley Coyote reading an acme catalog!!!
I find it just really odd that they had to struggle like they did, because they’re just so damn good, every single person that’s ever heard them has always said wow amazing! There’s nobody that doesn’t like their music, it just seems like they should have been on easy street the whole time
These guys are NOT in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame??? What??? That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard!! Cheap trick & Talking Heads??? What???😮
This is one of the greatest bands of all times!!!They are the true road rock n rolls band!!
They should be inducted into the hall of fame in America and really everywhere.. they are. high level band on par with any other great band
It’s so surprising how different Fred Turners speaking voice is from his singing voice. He speaks so softly.
The very first big name band I ever saw in concert! THEY ROCKED!!!
I still believe that BTO belongs in the rock and roll hall of fame.
freestanding1000 they're too good for the rrhof
They're in MY rock and roll hall of fame!
I heard THE DOOBIE BROTHERS were just nominated.....about time!!
So maybe BTO will be next. They are 2 of my favorite bands along with THE WHO and FOGHAT
Without a doubt. Having said that, fuck the RRHOF.
BTO, The Guess Who, Boston, Foreigner, and others. It is the Rock and Roll hof, not music hof. Not complaining but a couple of acts should never have been inducted.

Bachman and Turner go together like peanutbutter and bread. The music hits like a Sledgehammer.

I think he had stomach stapling
I was raised on BTO and ELO and The Who and never found anything better today.
THE WHO....."Maximum R & B"
Old saying they used to have on their marketing material.
Most talented Brit band, each member could be in a "Super Group"

Two of my Rock and Roll HEROS!!!
When I was a teenager, I used to go to danced every week. I loved dancing to BTO. I didn't care for the slower and more sedate type of dancing. I'd always move with the beat, like the kids do nowadays. Got the idea from KC and the Sunshine band. He couldn't stay still.
Axe and vocal legends!
Fred's speaking voice is totally opposite from his amazing singing voice!!
Fred gargles with razor blades and rocks! 😁
He's got the most gentle voice! It's fantastic!

That's right! I have been very priveledged throughout my life to meet such wonderful men as you. Honest, sweet, passionate, and compassionate. Gentle, too. Totally awesome. You know Randy hangs around Ted Nugent, right, at music meetings, awards etc. Canadians are freaking. Hahaha
fred talks so soft hard to believe he screams like that on stage
Me too, darling, Me too.
I find it just really odd that they had to struggle like they did, because they’re just so damn good, every single person that’s ever heard them has always said wow amazing! There’s nobody that doesn’t like their music, it just seems like they should have been on easy street the whole time
