I agree with John Clark. I met Roger after a Who show in Miami. He was going into a car and saw me, stopped to say hi, sign an autograph and gave me 5-10 minutes to chat. I was blown away. I know first hand that he appreciates his fans and IS absolutely humble.

My wife and I met at the “Use It or Lose It” tour stop in Red Bank NJ. For extra couple hundred it was a dream for me the fanatic!
We both got a pic together and he autographed not just show merchandise but the items from home ! Pete wouldn’t sign shit aside from “Who I Am” book when I “met” for the price of the autobiography in Bookends store in northern New Jersey. Still wouldn’t turn it down. But Pete could have said hello. Seems so open on Late Night show in March (?) to promote Broadway redo of “Tommy”

I met Roger many years ago in Silverlake, a suburb of L.A. looking for albums. Back then, I didn't know the amount of record shops in the early 2000's was a lot, and he knew more than the locals. My GF back then flipped out because she only knew the intro to CSI, which embarrassed me. He laughed about it. Learned eventually from an agent guy friend of mine that Daltrey gets royalty checks from the CSI episode every time it's played in syndication somewhere. He does not really "need" to work nor sing for money.

The difference between Roger and Pete, John plus Keith is that he has looked after himself. In his days as 'Tommy', Roger looked stunningly handsome and physically very fit unlike the other three. The man went from the spotty ugly duckling to growing his locks and becoming the dynamic, sexy swan. He kept his hair too, unlike poor Pete though Pete has had the royalties for songwriting. Well done, Roger. I don't care about some of his right wing views which I don't agree with; by and large he's a top bloke and a great figurehead for The Who.

My first rock album was Aerosmith/ Toys in the Attic, followed closely by a Who album (forget exactly which one) but I was mesmerized by the Who's music. Yes, Daltrey was THE rockstar, the voice, his presence.... now I see he's such a great guy too!

I was honored and delighted to have attended 2 live shows by THE WHO! 1977 & sometime in the 1990s. Tremendous band! I LOVE "TOMMY"; "QAUDROPHENIA" is astounding! They played at Woodstock too! A fine bunch of Brits. Sorry to learn of "Loonie Moonie"; Ringo's Son Zack filled in at drums at Shoreline Amphitheater, CA. Cheers to THE WHO! * Cav *

Fun fact: When both Small Faces and The Who toured Australia in 1968, they were BANNED from returning to Australia! If you can get a copy of A Fortnight of Furore, you'll know all about it! Since then, Roger & Pete have returned, and each time, I keep missing them! 😅

I was there... Charlton Athletic. Still have the ticket taped inside my copy of the bootleg Live at the Filmore East. More seriously...
You may work out and do exercise but that belly is there for a reason: too much carbohydrate in your diet (beer, potatoes, rice, bread, sugar in drinks). Age 69, ask me how I know... lots of exercise but sitting at work and eating think high quality bread with cheese or peanut butter and honey or jam. Heart attack and pre-diabetes with three resuscitations in 2020 . Despite studying Biochemistry as a student, I got sucked into the mid-1970s dietary advice of low fat and high carbs that is killing the world. There are now plenty of books and RUclips videos by top level scientists at reputable establishments on changing what we eat and how we exercise. I am now as fit and healthy as I have ever been and the medics are very impressed.

I was there as a high schooler. If I recall correctly the Clash was the warm up band but I know they played 2 shows at Shea for their “final tour”. Long time ago. I was a big fan and absolutely blown away by how great they were.

@@robertjones8598 I jumped on the field and went right to the front. I was about 50 feet away. I met some girl there &. I leave it there. I thought that the Clash was really good. Daltrey is a boring front man. All he does is march in place and swing the mic. I have seen so many concerts. Young 4X, Clapton, Kansas, and more. I went to the Music at the Meadowlands concert in '79. There was Todd Rundgren's Utopia, The Outlaws, Poco, and headlined by Boston. I saw the first ever concert there. Pablo Cruise, Stanky Brown, The Beach Boys, and The Steve Miller Band.
