Thanks for introducing this place. Taiwanese expat living in the UK for over 10 years and still learning all the wonderful places this country can offer. I will definitely visit this place! You’ve inspired me to bring a bin bag with me next time I go camping. It’s terrible to see rubbish but more annoying in the beautiful countryside.
Brilliant! That’s exactly what I want from my watchers to show them amazing places to visit and inspire them to try help our countryside along the way. Thank you Al
At first I thought just a pretty boy doing light stuff, then I saw all you other vds: knives and sheaths you made, the yurt, training your dog, your degree in zoology, etc., boy you are a world of pleasure surprises. I appreciate your vds more as we go on. Thank you--will support $ when I have some to spare. Thanks for your consideration to share your life with us. Love to see more on how you control Blue--I think that's very important as more people are living out of vans with pets. Stay well and be safe!
Thanks buddy I’m glad you are appreciating what I am doing. I’ve just touched the surface really so hopefully I’ll keep you entertained for years to come😉👍👍👍
What a lovely place, those rocks look amazing, I like the earn your keep ethos, reminds me of my mum telling me that, oh well, watched 2 of your vids this morning, gonna get the sack if i don't stop now, great countryside near you fellah, thanks for sharing and keep em coming.
"Wetter than Noah's pocket" - classic. Proper do. Love it round here. So much to see and places to go. just 6 mile from Skipton and just on the boarder of both counties. We have Gisburn on the doorstep.
Spent some hours up at Brimham with the kids, fantastic place. Busy place on a nice day.... The litter does my nogin in, fair play for the pick. TFS, David
Wow! So lucky to have that on your doorstep. As a novice wild camper in North London it’s not easy to find somewhere close by. Thanks for another great video.
I actually lived in north London for a couple years when I was 21/22. Loved it but as the saying goes… you can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy! I’d never live in a town or city again as I just love being out in the countryside. 🤩 thanks.
Looks like a cracking place , keep them coming my friend . I'm longing to get out myself ,also keep all the little stories coming with your videos , awesome job
I haven't been to Brimham Rocks since I was a child growing up in Harrogate. We used to spend summer evenings there with the BBs ⚓, and I have the fondest memories scrambling up and down those rocks. Early in the video....was that the River Nidd? We'd often cycle along the old railway from Starbeck, over the Nidd Gorge at Bolton, as far as Killinghall, then through Ripley, then to Pateley via Summerbridge. We'd often detour to Brimham for a scramble, but not camp, but we'd camp upstream somewhere. I remember my first ever camp near Pateley at Leng House when I was 8, and that was 54 years ago. I now live down south (Perth, Western Australia) and long to come home every now and then. Thanks for bringing back so many memories.
Awesome, glad I stumbled onto this channel. I loved Brimham rocks as a kid and as a bigger kid. I used to visit Knaresborough and ol'Mother Shiptons too on any trip there.
@@BUSHMANandBLUE I have lived all over the US for the past 20 years but still miss the UK because of public rights of way and the topography. I never thought of it like that. The UK is amazing especially when you get the weather! Although I’m sure with some mikes you can find some seriously epic scenery in the US.

Thanks. I will be doing a review on it soon but it’s the Ruffwear Approach pack. I think it’s about £89 but I bought it for £56 as it was in a sale. For Blue (a border collie) it’s a size small but is adjustable. It seems pretty tough as he scrapes it constantly against rocks/walls and there is well enough storage for all he needs for a 1 nighter even two. I think it’s a good solid bit of kit and I’d buy it again definitely for the £56.
Brimham Rocks. A place I only discovered (but yet to visit) in the last couple of years. Looks a great place to get some good photos of naturally eroded rock sculptures. I was wondering, Al, have you done Ingleton Falls yet? That's a great walk and plenty of deep pools you can dip in, or even jump in from a decent height. On the tops there are great places to wild camp, too.
Yes thanks... but I feel the people watching a wild camping video already are brilliant at the ‘leave no trace’. It’s getting the message to the ‘idiots’! We can all help though.
What a fantastic place. Never seen anything like that. Ever. Squeezing through those rocks: ever wonder what you would do if you got STUCK? Have you ever been approached (while sleeping in your tent at night) by a stranger wandering about? Does Blue always alert you to someone near by? Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Take care.
Blues ears are way better than mine so yes he always growls if something is nearby. He’s alerted me to deer passing a couple of times😬. No one has ever bothered me.

At some point I will do a review on it but it’s the Ruffwear Approach bag. I think it’s about £90 (expensive) but I found it for £57 which is well worth it. It’s really good! Solid, well made, hard wearing and simple. If it’s going to get used often then worth buying. This one for blue is a size small and fits perfectly. It is adjustable size too. I hope this helps.
Hi Al Another great video, never really thought about the National trust in that way, will definitely sign up and become a member, just wondered what you’re views were on there attitude to Wilde camping, and the fact that they see as technically illegal, you and blue are a prime example of why we should have the right to rome the same as Scotland, still catching up on the videos keep them coming and stay safe 👍
