@@SteeleJackOutdoors Welcome to Finland and hiking is every man's right, you only need to ask the landowner's permission to make a fire. Here are forests everywhere and lakes.
@@Leima1 love a campfire but quite happy without one so that’s ok. It would be amazing to spend a few days just roaming the wilderness. A proper reset of mind and soul!
Great footage on the drone best I’ve seen. Your posh pot noddle , you pour water in after removing tin foil lid then put plastic lid on and leave. Pour all water out through holes in plastic lid, then put in contents from sachet. Stir and eat.
Looks like a good bit of woodland with a bit of history to look around, I like the colour of the tent too, i'll definitely be watching the review, cheers Dan, see you in the next one 👍⛺️
Ah druids temple been a few times , it’s a very nice place if there’s no kids there. The roads to it are so narrow they are a pain in the backside lol, Great views from the field at the bottom of the trail
Great video again. Have you ever thought of doing a walk from Newport to Brecon beacons, there's a canal that goes all the way, it starts at 14 locks and goes all the way to Brecon it's a great walk and has some great spots to wild camp along the way.
Great video Dan. Beautiful countryside. Makes me miss Yorkshire. I don't get to come home as often as I'd like. Always enjoy your vids mate. All the best, Jono 👍🙂🏕️🌲
cracking camp Dan very informative as always , great drone footage , love your meal ideas also , so easy to cook whilst out , looking forward to the tent review
I am getting ready to do my 3rd wild camp, I've just purchased a better tent and sleeping mat, and a few other bits I felt I needed after my first 2, all done on a fairly tight budget, I have been backpacking, I can cover some distance that way, I love getting into the wilderness, countryside and quiet
The Tent has a wonderful colour finnish , Reminds me of an old tent I once owned made of Canvas , Great place for a Camp , and I have visited the Druids sanctuary once before with my mates , Be Well my Friend , all the best , Ps , Grow ouut the Beard ! , Become more Viking . 🙂👍
Good wee vid as always Dan,good entertainment, couldnt stop laughing over your sucking the spice sachet lol, brought me round a bit as im ill and in a wee bit of pain right now lol,has brought me out of the dark corner this eve lol.😶
I was in my hammock last night, would have been perfect if it wasn't for the Muntjacs. Great vlog nice seeing other places and the woodland looked awesome. Stay safe atvb 👍🦊

Great camp Dan looks a great place your a glutton for punishment with the spicy noodles lol still laughing at the last vid with the Bombay bad boy hahaha tent looks quite good too look forward to the stove review looked like it was as hot as the noodles 😂😂 take care buddy cracking video ps . Liked the drone shots 👍👌🔥🔥❤️
Great video as always mate 👏 but you need to pour all the water out before you put the sauce in it, you'll definitely taste the difference 😋 You'll be getting your own cooking show before you know it 😜 Wild Camp Cooking with Dan the English Woodsman!
Bit hot was that 😂 great video, nice vibe and hilarious meal review! (I can’t take spice at all so good on you there!) Two weeks off coming up and I’m hoping to spend at least 7 days of that out in the forest. Should at least test out my new revised set up less than a year after I bought it 😂
I used to live on the opposite side of the valley from Druids. We had a brief encounter with a gamekeeper one May bank holiday, not far from where you camped. He had a shotgun, we retreated. Being a local made no difference. He was the exception, everyone else was great.
That moorland is home to a protected species of bird. The estate takes their protection very seriously. They built a hide for the public to watch them. I hope he wasn't threatening as the game keepers I have encountered at other locations have been quite intimidating.
I wish we had something like this in Canada! ( real or follies). I seem to remember hearing about a "supposed" Druid settlement, that's also rumoured to be haunted, somewhere in the USA, in New England....sadly I can't find the place because I really can't remember enough facts that I saw on a tv show decades ago! In Canada the oldest settlements we have are in Newfoundland and they're Viking but reconstructions on top of old original ruins.
Got myself the Vik 2 in green about a month back. Been out in it three times and it's not let me down. Will be interesting to see how it copes with a snow load. 👍🏼⛺
What an epic day Dan, we spent hours walking around the woods, and found a cracking woods to camp in, loved the look of your tent, definitely a contender mate, the look on your face after tasting that sauce in the morning 😂 as always an absolute pleasure to have you along mate, you are a true genuine gentleman ❤ can't wait to catch you on the next camp brother, atb Paul 🙏 🏕 🏕🏕😁
Those soba noodles are top class. I'm not a fan of the standard pot noodles purely as they don't have a lot of flavour. Even the bombay bad boy to me is all heat and no flavour. The ones I do like are the type that have all the Chinese writing all over the pot. Also if you can find it poundland do a great salted caramel latte in sachets. The pack has NY on the front of it. Which I assume means New York. My local rarely has those in though. Usually its the standard NY ones. You do need 3 sachets for a decent sized mug though but worth trying as you get 10 for a quid. Another idea iv just had (bear with me I do this a lot lol) is make up your own sachets. Smash up a worthers original or 2 and use that as a sugar for the caramel note in a coffee
love the areas you got to go to. Do you have to travel much to get to places like these? I have many a [lace not far from where i live that i like to roam around although they dont like you camping there if they find ya lol keep up the brilliant work mate an cant wait for detailed tent review
Sad fact... the noise they cows were making. Its the time of year dairy cows get their young taken from them and then mechanically milked. That noise is all the mums crying out for their young. Another fact... you've never eaten a dairy cow. They are bred just for milk. Still, beef is tasty. Great episode lad
I have over time seeing your videos, you're not like some other camping videos where the next thing after the tent is put up is break open the beers. I'm not saying this is a good thing, It's not always necessary to have alcohol to enjoy the outdoors. Not pooping others of it having beers and no I'm not tea total. Aye your outdoors videos are abit more "refreshing". Keep on camping mister👍
English, I hope that RUclips is paying you the money you deserve and not screwing you out of it like they do the gun channels. You have a great channel buddy and I am glad that your wife lets you do them, not many would these days.👍
Hi Dan, I am new to camping, How big a rucksack would you need for a 2 man tent, sleeping and cooking gear and food. Would 50L be big enough or maybe bigger ? Thanks Mark
I use a 38L for a one man tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, cooking stove with cooking pot and 2 days of food, plus loads more. Shouldn't need to go too much bigger for a 2 man tent
I enjoy your videos - they are honest. Some people, who I’ve stopped following, simply post to promote products. Yours are not like that. Thank you.
Greetings from Finland, you have a really beautiful country👍
