Not that one can't be one or the other personally but to call the Jedi good and the Sith evil is only mostly true, there have been evil Jedi and good Sith, rare exceptions that they both are. If you're using the Force for personal gain and using whatever tool will accomplish that goal, you are the definition of a Sith. Which, as a philosophy, is not inherently bad if you follow the real life concept of enlightened self-interest.

To deny love is to deny life itself. This is the fundamental mistake made by both Jedi and Sith. Who can deny that much of Luke Skywalker's strength in the Force flows from love for individuals? His father and sister, his friends and comrades, this love did not weaken Luke, but made him a stronger Jedi Master.
Certainly not. What the Order forbade was "attachment" which got tangled with romance. Luke removed that specific restriction but he didn't ignore the wisdom of the previous generations. Even Yoda hinted at this when he told Anakin that his visions of "someone [he knows]" suffering shouldn't be feared because those we love remain with us through the Force. The Jedi didn't deny love, they just believed in unselfish, platonic love.

I would prefer them to have a parting of ways with the stifling strictures of the Jedi. Sadly for the Jedi, Palpatine quite often spoke truthfully about them. He exaggerated and conflated to make them sound worse than they were, but much of what he (and Anakin, Dooku, etc.) said about the Jedi was in fact correct. They allowed arrogance to creep in, and worse, complacency. History is rife with examples of similar downfalls.
This is why I rather be a Gray Jedi. They aren't extreme as they often have children of their own and allowed to form attachments as they only believe in the Force.
This seems to be based around the Jedi Order as it was leading up to the Clone Wars and the centuries preceding it. From what I have read in Legends, this sort of "restrictiveness" increased relatively slowly. Leading up to it's very end the Jedi Order as a whole seemed to be spiraling into a worse and worse situation when it came to morality on a lot of things. How they reacted to things and treated those that were different and had more technical minds, instead of trying to understand and learn they became fearful and chose to be ignorant. Things like the incident with the Iron Knights showed how much the Order had declined. Even at the time of KOTOR many members of the Order tried to understand things rather than react like hateful bigots. It's honestly kind of sad, when you go through all of the Legends stories you can slowly start to pick out the signs of where they are slowly descending into the hole of bigotry and close-mindedness that allowed for their utter destruction.
The point is that the Jedi expected all to keep up with the Jedi code and stay as peaceful as the masters, however not all could adhere to the Jedi code like the masters could and the continuous pressure to ignore the emotions only made things worse and led more to the darker side

Omg, imagen I jedi that got wasted in the bar and came back to the temple to teach his padawan, it would be like rick trying to know why the jedi don't allow certain things
Master: Ok, sorry I am late just woke up from a total room with several bottles of wine and five hookers so let's just do something light today. Padawn: is that apart of the code? Master: Well yeah, just don't get attached... pro tip always change hookers after each use. Padawan:... ok.
if i was a jedi, i would propably train a lot, so i could use all lightsaber forms, and make a machine suit that enhanced my physical strength, also train all types of force abilities,
Padawan: “OW I JUST GOT SHOT” Master: “Meditate then” Padawan: “So I’ve been really upset lately..” Master: “Because you forgot to meditate” Padawan: “My parents just got killed!” Master: “Maybe next time you should meditate longer, what an idiot lol”
That's why i hate Jedi's and Sith's but the line in between, the one that fights for justice and protecting innocents by using the force, both light and dark side, some kind of... not balance... but anarchy... neutral of those two beliefs.
I hear my Jedi master walking towards my room. I close my computer and pretend to be meditate. Master: what are you doing? Me: huh? Oh nothing, just meditating, master. Master: don't you want to train a little bit? Me: how about we train in about thirty minutes? I'll be done meditating and warming up by then. Master: well... Ok... See you then. He leaves. I open up my computer back up. Me: alright, where we droppin' bois?
I stand by the fact that not being allowed to have attachments and relationships is the worst rule of the Jedi Order- and also to meditate your problems away
The Jedi Order in a nutshell about romance: Padawan: I just greeted a girl that I thought was cute. Jedi Master: You must go and meditate young Padawan, for you are turning to the dark side. Padawan: All I did was just say 'hey' to her.
That is true. Because being a Jedi is considered anti-life and too much light side will only make one's true desire stronger and stronger until that said person finally snap and turn to the dark side.
I love you Fact Free, I really do. No other channel can make me genuinely laugh out loud less than 5 seconds into the video xD Also, this video is great at showing the ridiculousness of the Jedi. Its beyond me how anyone could argue that they're anything else than a cult after seeing this.
Honestly if i was a jedi, i would have tried to learn and master the lightsaber forms 1 and 3, as well as at least one force ability for every scenario i could think of
Children are like: I wish I could be in the Star Wars universe! Then I could be a Jedi! Me: *takes away Internet, playstation, PC, board games, outdoor games, toys and candy* Go sit in the corner and contemplate on your existence. Still there? Still fun? Still wanna be a Jedi?
That whole *meditation will solve all your problems* thing reminds me of Catholic school and how the counselors never actually did anything to help their students with emotional problems.
Council- so last night you drank, paid multi hookers, and did lots of drugs Jedi- first two were for information and last one meditate Council- you're such an inspiring and pure jedi
Jedis were taught to repress their emotions and Sith were taught to embrace them without restraint. For that reason when a Jedi fell to the Dark Side it was practically impossible to come back to the Light, those repressed emotions took charge and those Jedi have due to their lack of experience dealings with emotions they couldn't go back to the Light. That's the reason Anakin could come back to the Light, unlike other fallen Jedi he had experience dealing with emotions from the first years of his life before joining the Order and could use his attachment to his son to abandon the Dark Side. In theory Force users taught to embrace their emotions without letting them get control of themselves would be the truly balanced users and the strongest ones. Unfortunately the owners of the franchise prefer to portrait Jedi as absolute good and Sith as absolute evil because it is more simple.
Well Jedi Shadows and Jedi who went on top secret missions. Probably had sex with a senator or companion, just to continue the operation or the they were tempted by love and passion.
@@Owen-ub3fv No😑. I just thinks with common sense and practically. They're Jedi aka magic space wizards/monks/ninjas of the galaxy. Plus Jedi Shadows probably had sex with man or woman during there exceedingly long mission places like Nal Hutta, nar shaddaa or even Corellia.
2:02 In the end though, it was the strict enforcement of teachings that led to their downfall. Anakin and Luke not only stopped the Sith but stopped a Tyrannical Jedi Order. In all honesty, I'd be a Grey Jedi
One of the main reasons why the life of a Jedi was so strict was because they had so much power. And they need to stay in control of such power and use the force for knowledge and defense. If a Jedi were to lose control of there emotions and power then they could easily fall to th dark side.
I also heard that master Windu has a barrel of Sullustan moonshine smuggled into the Jedi temple's food warehouse once a month and he keeps flask of it in his robe.

Padawan:... ok.
Will meditation fix my marriage?
+Thomas Muehldorf Probably not.
if i was a jedi, i would propably train a lot, so i could use all lightsaber forms, and make a machine suit that enhanced my physical strength, also train all types of force abilities,
ghost townz I'd be training and studying.
Lol nerd.
Jedi Knight:
I'm depressed.
Jedi Master:
Just sit down and think about it,that will solve your problem.
Anakin bursts in:
*"FrOm My PoInT oF vIeW, tHe JeDi ArE eViL!"*
Padawan: “OW I JUST GOT SHOT”
Master: “Meditate then”
Padawan: “So I’ve been really upset lately..”
Master: “Because you forgot to meditate”
Padawan: “My parents just got killed!”
Master: “Maybe next time you should meditate longer, what an idiot lol”
Jedi don't understand how to be human. Because they're true meaning of anti-life.
I'd be a Grey Jedi
poor poor mondi... I wonder what happened to him after order 66
He gets shot in revenge of the sith during order 66
Gabriel Umoh Go watch him getting shot in the back in ep3 by commander bakara on mygeeto
Gabriel Umoh my boii Mundi fucked bitches, had children and let em XD SAVAGE
hey guys I know he was killed in revenge of the sith I was just asking out of context 😉
His family got killed in the clone wars before him.
oh shit our cities are dying from starvation, jedi does what, meditates on the problems, xD
AvatarSampai Meditate to figure out a solution. Then go out to help the starving people.
Jedi don’t own cities..
I want to repair ships and make things in my spare time
Jedi council: DoNt Do iT. YOu wiLl faLL INtO tHe DarK sIDE
I love these short episodes, I learn things about Star Wars
The "What X did in their free time" videos are your best ones. Looking forward to seeing more.
Well the only real problem with the jedi order was: They served Democracy, not the force
if you cant love your family than i dont want to be a jedi or sith
Word😂😂
blitz ball boys then be a grey jedi
I'm joining the gray side
There's no grey side
@@drogadepc yes there is the jed'aii and the gray jedi
@@drogadepc There are the Imperial Knights from Legends
Anakin: I've turned to the dark side and I can't go back
Obi-Wan: just meditate lol
Well, the alcohol part we saw many times Anakin and Kenobi as drinking buds
4:08 So that's why Anakin and Obi-wan almost always seem to get at least a little drunk while on investigation missions...
That's why i hate Jedi's and Sith's but the line in between, the one that fights for justice and protecting innocents by using the force, both light and dark side, some kind of... not balance... but anarchy... neutral of those two beliefs.
Coyotl the inbetween is balance more then anarchy.
Meditate 5 Times a day
(Shows a jedi master with headscarff)
Do a video on what food was eaten in the Star Wars universe
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Fried Porg?
But it is
3:05 that guy is the luckiest man alive
The Jedi Order in a nutshell about romance:
Padawan: I just greeted a girl that I thought was cute.
Jedi Master: You must go and meditate young Padawan, for you are turning to the dark side.
Padawan: All I did was just say 'hey' to her.
Jedi friend: Dude should've kept your mouth shut, these are anti-life Monks for pete's sake. They rather die than give up force and true power.
Sometimes I wonder if the annihilation of individuality in the Jedi Order is what leads to Dark-Side corruption.
That is true. Because being a Jedi is considered anti-life and too much light side will only make one's true desire stronger and stronger until that said person finally snap and turn to the dark side.
I want to be a gray jedi.... Screw all the other shit
Ditto. I want to have passion, but I don't want to murder children.
Being a gray jedi they encourage you to believe in the force but most of all balance the light and the dark. Basically *just be you.*
Not always. What a Grey Jedi even IS depends on who you ask.
I think that’s the kind of force user I would be according to a test that tells you what kind of force user you would be
Propably the best choice - you don't go overboard on either side
i love your channel
we all
"What did sith do in their free time?" What ever the f*** they wanted!
You can get drunk, but you can't get off. Nice.
Haha i love how c3p0 is nervously guarding the threshold to hide Anikin and padme lol
I love you Fact Free, I really do. No other channel can make me genuinely laugh out loud less than 5 seconds into the video xD
Also, this video is great at showing the ridiculousness of the Jedi. Its beyond me how anyone could argue that they're anything else than a cult after seeing this.
Ki Adi Mundi was the greatest playa the galaxy had ever seen
Five mandatory meditations a day- Space Islam.
Owen Hale LOL you're so right
Owen Hale holy crud, never thought about that
omg
good observation, never thought of that
Peace be upon Space Muhammad.
Honestly if i was a jedi, i would have tried to learn and master the lightsaber forms 1 and 3, as well as at least one force ability for every scenario i could think of
"Meditate your problems away."
Christ the Jedi Order truly did not understand emotions
This is an awesome and unique idea for a Star Wars info video! Nice job.
I'd definitely be a Gray Jedi
Children are like: I wish I could be in the Star Wars universe! Then I could be a Jedi!
Me: *takes away Internet, playstation, PC, board games, outdoor games, toys and candy* Go sit in the corner and contemplate on your existence. Still there? Still fun? Still wanna be a Jedi?
I'd probably be a bounty hunter. I can chose who I want to work for.
Raise your hand if you are a grey jedi.

Can you do what did Ewoks do on their free time?
They probably jacked of to trees
Can you guys make a video explaining how Bacta works? I know that's really random but recently I've been pretty curious about the concept of bacta.
That whole *meditation will solve all your problems* thing reminds me of Catholic school and how the counselors never actually did anything to help their students with emotional problems.
Anakin: Where are you going master?
Obi Wan: To get a drink. >.>
During their holiday time:
Anakin: Where are you going Master?
Obi Wan: To Ryloth.
”Five meditations a day keeps the dark side away”
Council- so last night you drank, paid multi hookers, and did lots of drugs
Jedi- first two were for information and last one meditate
Council- you're such an inspiring and pure jedi
What Did Jedi Do In Their Free Time:
Had sex.
Oh wait. Most of them were celibate.
Well Jedi Shadows and Jedi who went on top secret missions. Probably had sex with a senator or companion, just to continue the operation or the they were tempted by love and passion.
@@kingnamor777 Dobyoubwrite erotic Star Wars novels or something? 😄
@@kingnamor777 I can see that somewhat.
@@Owen-ub3fv It's no different than a secret agent or undercover spy.
Mundi gets all the fun about making a family with none of the downsides.
Pretty sweet deal.
2:02 In the end though, it was the strict enforcement of teachings that led to their downfall. Anakin and Luke not only stopped the Sith but stopped a Tyrannical Jedi Order.
In all honesty, I'd be a Grey Jedi
Kit Fisto: So Ki Adi what're you gonna do today...?
Ki Adi: The same thing I do every vacation Kit...I'm gonna go home and fuck.
Ki-Adi-Pimpdi..
One of the main reasons why the life of a Jedi was so strict was because they had so much power. And they need to stay in control of such power and use the force for knowledge and defense. If a Jedi were to lose control of there emotions and power then they could easily fall to th dark side.
Mace windu was the exception of how to use your emotions and not lose your crap mid fight
@@omgitzthunderlol4598 probably because he was a dark jedi.
Grey Jedi: do whatever the hell you want
I also heard that master Windu has a barrel of Sullustan moonshine smuggled into the Jedi temple's food warehouse once a month and he keeps flask of it in his robe.
