  • I acquired the MDT ACC Elite chassis nearly a year after it was released to consumers. This is my first ACC chassis which I have been wanting to try out in a rimfire platform.

The mirage with the control bridges makes sense for center fire rifles. I like the ability to rest my hand on the top with my control bridges while I shoot. Good review! On the price though, compared to other chassis it’s competitive. Spuhr is 1800+ and the new MPA matrix pro v2 is 1650. If someone is looking for something cheaper the new revision of the ACC premier is going to be a fantastic choice for the price. Features from the elite but still cost conscious.

I put all 6 dowells in mine for the polymer magazines for my Vudoo 360 and the fit is absolutely perfect with no movement at all and the mag release still drops the magazine smoothly. The aluminum magazines won’t fit with the dowells in however. 👍

Balance point is what drove me to the ACC for sure. I’m surprised more companies don’t make longer chassis. Even the ACC could be longer. Time for the Mannlicher length chassis’s to make it to market!
Also, I’m surprised MDT hasn’t made an ultralight version of the ACC style buttstock out of carbon fiber yet.
It would be nice to get the balance point perfect while keeping the weight down to maybe 16 lbs or lower.
I agree with their deleting the removable end cap for removal of the weights because I can’t imagine wanting to change the weights once the right balance point is achieved. Having to pull the action out a few times is trivial compared to a useless feature. However, if they would just make weighted end caps then that feature makes a lot of sense. Turn that feature into what it’s best use would be, putting weight out further than the chassis can go, and they would have a winner. Basically like the idea of MPAs spigot but use it solely for additional weight even further forward.

Great review, I never considered with forehand length being a positive for a rimfire.

Pretty much every chassis needs extra purchases and the elite base price is comparable to the matrix pro for example.
I love my elite, its the first proper prs stock/chassis Ive got. Im really interested in the matrix pro and centurion, but pretty much nobody offers a tikka inlet except mdt. I have the 1 piece internal weight in mine, its cheaper than the pack and Im going for roughly a 11kg setup

Great review. What height Spur mount are you running to clear the control bridges for the ZCO

I have the SP-6002 which is the 0 MOA, 1.5" height mount.

So which chassis would you prefer for center fire prs?
And is that a schmedium or OG shooting bag?
    Super nice rimfire!

I have a hard time recommending one chassis over the other.
As far as the bag, I'm indifferent. I think I would go with the schmedium; heavy fill if you're on flat range and git lite if you're in the field (or field match like NRL Hunter)>
