Outstanding video! Wonderful event! Terrific museum!
Thank you 😊
wow! all those bikes old and new! the Sammy Miller Museum of Motorcycles, 😎 I could spend HOURS looking at those gems!!
We did! 😂
@@restdayrider I knew that!! lol 😎 do you attend a lot of shows? I am totally envious...I must start going again! we have an event in AZ called Thunder Valley Rally, music, food, and of course BIKES! 😎
I do go to as many shows as my work schedule allows, I find the ways people have customised their bikes fascinating, and each one is unique. ,😊
@@restdayrider exactly! I remember a Japanese Bike Festival back in 2010 (Arizona) brought back memories. 😎
Bought my first bike from there in 1982. A purple Fizzy! Great fun bike.
What an epic tour of the museum. The passion and enthusiasm for motorcycling show through. I would absolutely love to have a ride through the countryside and see this museum.
It is rather special. 😊
Wow what a collection of bikes! Must visit this place!
Well worth it. 😊
A fantastic museum one of the best i was there in may of this year thank you sammy miller for all the memories so much to see
It's got such a fantastic collection!
l think Sammy had a glint in his eye while taking to you Charlie, lovely video
Haha! He is a lovely chap. 😊
Quite the spread 👍🙂
How lucky you all are to live in the UK and be able to see all those Enfield and meet the great man himself. Very jealous stuck here in the colonies 😁
jazz and Sammy Miller .... works well ✌
I thought so! 😊
I have a very different aspect to the museum, having driven past Sammy Miller Museum may a time Charlie! on my way to a farm to deliver liquiud fertillzer, which is about 3-5 miles south of the museum, On very strict instructions was told to keep of the grass (difficult with a 44 ton HGV, with tarmac the same width as the lorry). When I arrived the first time. I was supprised to see ex Army Chieftian tanks parked on the said grass plus many other ex millitary vehicles! I always wonted to stop and have a quick look around the museum, but felt they might not appreciate me arriving with my HGV! Just done my first Ride To The Wall to the National Arboretum with a group of 10 fellow motorcyclist from Mercia Marina. around 1200 peaple attend the event pro around 6500 M/Cs over 600 of us left Castle Donnington to take part!
I bet the ride to the wall was epic.
That bike at 6:18 should have an "R" and not an "L" :).........Nice ride to Sammy's Charlie, I've been there a couple of times
Love the music at 9.27, good choice Charlie!
Thank you 😊
Greetings from down under. Watch the coronation...or watch your 2 episodes back to back. Well... Woger is Royal after all. You won out of course. Thankyou
Wow! Thank you. 😊
Forget the Louvre ,I would rather go to this museum!
Any day!!!
Hi Charlie, Fabulous place, lovely food. First time I went there it was mid week and quiet, Sammy was on the desk. SIX hours later I came back out and he was still talking. Fabulous bloke. Been back several times since, love it.
It is rather awesome!
Didin't even know this was happening - would've attended on my Interceptor if i'd known!
Every time I go, you just scratch the surface , wonderful place, good work on the vid, well done
Thank You 😊 Please feel free to share the channel with like minded people, it helps the channel grow and enables me to create more content. 😊
Those black bikes with silver/gold piping look beautiful. I had a black bmw r1100r centenary in those exact colours with the Bmw hard back centenary book. Was stunning often got asked about it. 1997 first bmw boxer fuel inj. Sold it to collector in Holland for a song after picking it up as a shed find
Wow!
Thanks for taking me with you on the trip to Sammy Millers. I've been there in 2018 and it was a great expierience to look at all these bikes I've never seen before. Great
It's an amazing place 😁
Brilliant vid , thanks Charlie, always a great ride out to Sammy millers and looking around the fantastic bike collection, cheers and all the best in the DGR 👍
Thank you 😊
Always go to bike 4 life event at Cosford. First place I go is the carpark😂
Hi Kate , we have been to Sammy Millers museum, when it was very small, we have seen it grow , we always enjoy going , when we are in the area.😊
That's amazing. 😊
Hey Charlie. Your celebrity is growing by the week and is well deserved. Thanks for the museum tour. Amazing collection of bikes. Hope to see it first hand one day. Cheers and ride safe, Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Thank you Dan. 😊
Motornya bagus bagus dan keren kawan👍👍
Nice one Charlie, I grew up in New Milton and have known Sammy since my very first bike many moons ago, great to see him still going strong. Mike Cape Town, South Africa 👍🏻🇿🇦🙂
Extraordinary collection Sammy has got there. I wonder where does he get all these bikes from, and how does one start with a collection like that? Great video again Charlie & thx for showing us all these wonderfull bikes.
Thank you Charlie for including us also! Absolutely mesmerizing experience.
Like a child in a sweet shop!
Hard to choose.
Curious about Lagertha!
Will wait and watch.
Stay Healthy!
Some in the car park weren't RE's ! They should have been turned away at the gate or at the very least made to park out of sight , especially the GS's !......what an amazing collection, I must take a trip to see it !
Ah I did film both car parks , maybe there was footage from both which was confusing.
Great video again. Well done. Please forget the music though. Just be yourself.
But I like the music! 😊 Plus, the random conversations that go on in the background aren't always sharable. 😂
@@restdayrider But the videos are for your viewers! I’m not entirely serious. You do a great job and I enjoy them. Take a bow.
JEAALLOOOUUUUUUSSSSSS!!!!
Soooooorrrrrryyyyyyy
Sammy still has a glint in his eye for the ladies, dirty old dog!! lol. Cracking vlog but it would have been nice to see some of the Japanese stuff too, the jazz was absolutely the right music.
He was a lovely chap. 😊
Charlie. Your best video to date! Very interesting museum and great to see some of English countryside.
Thank you Jeff. 😊
Not been there since i was a member of the zed owners club in 2000...i wish i had of known would have popped down
what a great place must get there soon x
Definitely a whole day out! 😊
awesome vid !
Great video, Charlie, and good to meet you there. Keep it up.
Thanks Keith, nice to meet you too. ,😊
What an amazing museum. Such an incredible lineup of motorcycles from throughout the ages. Thanks for sharing Charlie. Throughly enjoyable.
Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
What a guy Sammy is and what a collection, he lives and breathes bikes👌He sure doesn't look 89! Cracking video Charlie, shame about the weather! I hope you get some decent weather soon, safe travels👍
I'm catching up on all your vids, as I can't ride my Tiger 900 GT Pro at the moment, I especially like this one which I'd love to visit Sammy's myself, thanks.
4th June I was out cycling to exercise my lungs after last years disaster (went hospital end of Aug 2022, sent home with catheter, lots of bleeding - hip went really soar so two weeks later I went docs got sent to physio, month later found I had a DVT which shot through my heart to right lung PE, you know what I mean, blood thinners 3 months and so didn't ride much from Aug to Jan then winter set in), so I decided this year was my riding and get fit summer but had a pushbike RTC. Downhill free wheeled to about 28mph, hard to stop blind corner to find Landrover and Campervan stationary trying to pass one another, all I could do was SMASH between them, panic brake aim and smash, opened my eyes laying on my back after flying over my handle bars smashing my right forehead into the hard road surface, lucky I was wearing my helmet and cycle glasses which resulted in a badly cut and black eye (would I be here though if not for the helmet?) grazed right knee and elbow, left hip and calf, sprained left elbow and wrist, but worst of all smashed top back shoulder broke my proximal humerus and distal clavical. Ten and a half weeks next Wednesday 16th still in my sling will be having another set of x-rays as arm wasn't healing still after six and half weeks. Pain, pain, pain, my two lovely lady paramedics tried to relieve my pain with IV paracetamol, that laughing gas and morphine but I'm afraid that didn't happen and even when sent home the pain just goes on and on and on for weeks, now if others had my pain they may say it really hurts I'd say its just narrowing in on being locally soar, can't move and stiff!
I got a while before I can take any weight on my right arm, so lapping up your vids, like many other channels you are keeping me sane if a little jealous, haha! Oh, time for change, before I ride my Tiger an expensive Alpinestars air vest is in order, never again can I at 55 take this much hassle and pain after 14 years ago smashing my right shoulder and breaking five ribs (crashed a test ride Z1000, oh dear!), same right side. I've waffled this story to a few channels but it gets lonely sitting at home working from a PC not able to do much.
Take care, ride safe, and tell your patients "pain will be with you", haha, joking! But joking not, never cycling ever again:-(
Wowser, you have been through the wars! 🫣
Museum 4 miles from me and have yet to go, after your great video must get myself in gear and visit.
Oh definitely!!! 😊
I absolutely loved a visit to the museum a few years back. It happened to be an "Italian bike" day, and Sammy was there, starting up and riding some of his very exotic racers.
Thank you for a lovely video, and for reminding me of a really nice day out....
I think you pulled. Looks a fascinating place that I'd love to visit but I think the wife would have the same attitude as she had at the Bovingdon Tank Museum and the RAF museums, seen one seen 'em all. Solo trip perhaps.
If you've seen my account of Bovington you'll know how much I understood about tanks. 😂
😔..........🌹🌹🌹.....👍marvelous bike, bikers....✌️🇨🇵
Another excellent episode Charlie, you make my day every time you post something, you’re a great girl
Thank you Geoff 😊
Thanks it's another interesting video and a great look around the Samy Miller museum, which is always worth a visit.
Thanks for sharing , I'd of liked to have gone to this event but would never of made it back in time for work, though watching it would of been worth it for the longest journey rider lol great vid 👍
It's definitely worth a visit. 😊
That was another great video you did there Charlie, getting some great footage and i assume on a new 360 after the last ride out you did.
Looks like a place i must visit soon after seeing that. Keep up the great entertaining.
It's still the same damaged 360, hence the scratches. 😂 It's now gone for repair.
Thank you Charlie for going to the Sammy Miller Museum! I’ve always wanted to go there. and interviewing the man himself was great. He’s got some really cool bikes in there. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over to England to see it but now I know what it’s like. If I pick the right horse today in the derby I might be able to fly over and check it out. Wish me luck.
Fingers crossed for you. 😊
I’ve been trying to get there for ages but never manage to. Thanks for such an inspiring video. I must try harder 😂
Thank you 😊
The music fitted the video perfectly. Lovely seeing all those motorbikes.
Thank you 😊
Absolutely love these type of videos, and you have become exceedingly good at it. Thoroughly entertaining.
Glad you are getting the recognition you deserve.
Probably watch this one a few times.
I guess that's a museum that should really go on my bucket list.
It's an amazing place Tim, we had to take a break have a cuppa and go back in! 😊
This video has made me want to go to Sammy miller's, think I'd get the medal then for travel lol from Pembrokeshire 🎉 , I'm going to plan trip now , great video Charlie ❤
Thank you 😊
Wow, such cool collection of bikes.
Well thank you for this brilliant video today Charlie , there was so much to see i lost track of the golden oldie's , your content is getting better every time you post another one , so take care & ride safe
Thank you Steve. 😊
Wow what a fantastic day.
It was a good day, but a shame they didn't keep the courtyard topped up - that ring of bikes round the pond makes a good photo opportunity. Ride ins at the museum are good days though and a great chance to see what people have got at home, hiding in their garages.
I agree, there was so much to see in the car park let alone the museum!
@@restdayrider I'm lucky enough to live just down the road so it's a regular coffee stop for me - Tuesday mornings is a good time to visit, there's a weekly breakfast ride in, and like the ride in, you can put your bike in the courtyard - everything turns up from a 1937 Moto Guzzi, lots of 60s British bikes, to this weeks spankmobiles. You can sit in the sunshine with your bike, have breakfast and put the world to rights for an hour or two and then visit one of the local Forest or Beach cafes for a short ride out and more coffee - we went to Calshot the other day, where they used to build some of the Spitfires overlooking the Solent. Compton Abbas Airfield and Tuckton Bridge cafe on the River Stour are all good too. Keep up the good work and stay safe - Dale
Looked a lovely day oot. Lovely place, with lovely bikes. Old boy certainly got a spark…..lol
He sure does!
What a place ! Brilliant ....loved the music too
Hi Charlie, another nice day out! You will soon be signing autographs! I noticed your mobile bobbing about , if it bothers you just put it direct on the bars , mine doesn’t move at all. As always stay safe 😊
The mount I have it on actually makes it wobble on purpose, it's a vibration damper to protect the camera in the phone. 😊
@@restdayrider yeah I know but it must be frustrating when it’s wobbling 😂😂
As usual another great video Charlie , most enjoyable .
Great fun Charlie and good to see Sammy chatting to you. It`s now on my list of places for a ride out, thanks to you. I went to the REME museum cafe the other day, after seeing it on one of your videos but I was the only biker there. Still had a lovely ride though. Keep making these lovely videos 🤗
Come on a Saturday morning to Reme, it's the royal Enfield meet up. 😊
@@restdayrider Ah okay, I might just do that this Saturday, if there is a meet on this week?
Thanks again Charlie, what a great outing!! Fabulous Bikes!! You are getting very popular now with the channel gaining speed, well done! thank you.
Thanks 😊
Another great video Charlie. I must get to visit the museum this year.........
Ohh that was fun I used to travel around Marlborough and traveled around there a lot when I lived down there great area wish I was back there 😉.What a great museum I have to get there next time I am down that way well in a couple of weeks actually usually come down once a year with the family .Great watch cheers 👌👍
Thank you 😊
Fame & fortune, well maybe just one of those, you're getting spotted all over now. Shows you're doing a good job on here.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for another fantastic video! The museum looks great and you got to meet the great man himself,I have always been a huge fan of Sammy's and he proves the saying that age is just a number!!😊
He Definitely does!!! 😊
I love to day and yesterday`s vid. Thank you for taking us a long for the trip. Keep up the great work!
Thank you 😊
Looks fantastic and meeting the legend that is Sammy, luv it❤️must go and see❤️🏴
Well worth a trip. 😊
Looks like a blast. New royals still can use a bit more power if you ask me.
Today I will be mainly eating bourbon biscuits
Sammy’ s Museum on my bucket list to do👌🏻😎
Well worth it. Take a whole day! 😊
Another cracker video. Im enjoying your postings, I don't know if anyone has told you or if you have notced it but in the ast 3 months or so you are riding with a lot more confidence, it is quite noticeable. In saying that though we useally learn something every ride
Thanks Dan, that's nice to hear. 😊
I was very impressed with your speed - and then I realised that I was watching the video at 1.5x - d'oh! However, I agree, it's clear that you're more at ease with your riding. Your increasing experience is showing!
Oddly enough my exact thoughts too on the confidence and technical skills, looking good there Charlie!
Thanks! 😊
another excellent video - thanks Charlie! Need to re-visit Sammy Miller now, there seems to be a lot more to see since I was last there 😁
It's an unbelievable collection!
Another cracking vid' Charlie, thank you! Please keep 'em coming, I always look forward to catching up on your exploits 😊 x
Thank you 😊
Great 'snapshot' of the museum, nice that you got to meet 'the man' himself! 😊
He was so lovely! 😊
Enjoyed the Museum tour , video was great. Glad you are being recognized for your hard work you put into these videos. The museum looks to be a awesome place to visit, love the vintage Kawasaki they take me back 40+ years to my youth. Thank you for video.
Thank you 😊
Another great vlog ...my favourite museum i went last year first in last out ...its brilliant.....you need to go once a year its always interesting 😊
It's astonishing!
Just spotted your latest video Charlie, now the Coronation starts in 20 minutes...but one must prioritise...so I’ll just watch this first 😀🏍 Suzie and I always enjoy your wonderful videos, thank you very much 👍
Hahaha Thank you! 😊
A another entertaining vlog as always Charlie ❤❤
Thank you 😊
An amazing Museum and so cheap to visit, brilliant cafe as well. Was down there just 2 weeks ago.....Can wait for my annual visit next year......ride safe.
It's definitely a whole day visit!
Great video as always Charlie, your becoming a celebrity at those bike events 😁I just ordered a new meteor today supernova in blue arrives on wednesday.
Roll on Wednesday 😁, keep the videos coming really enjoy them.
Thank you, I wish you many happy miles ahead! 😊
"That" was a rotary engine Wankel! There are many ways to burn petrol.... Thanks very much for the video, looks like a fab day out. I need to revisit this place. You don't seem to ride the Meteor so much these days, has Roger become your preferred ride? I'm enjoying my Hunter very much.
Roger is definitely getting all the love currently. 😏
Have been there a few times . Such a nice guy and full of motorcycle history 👍
Absolutely. 😊
@@restdayrider hope you managed to pet the animals before leaving 🤣
Back in the 1970s I attended a lot of Trials events in which Sammy was competing, Sammy was one of the Big Guns in those days, easily cleaning sections on his big Ariel, always with a lolly pop stuck in his mouth, he was a man of few words in those days, well that seems to have changed, great footage by the way really enjoying your stuff Charlie.
Thank you Mark. 😊
A trophy for travelling 41 miles! Barely worth having…..obviously a case of “who you know”. You were seen right off there. No matter…your followers know you were more deserving of it 😊
Another great video btw.
41 miles!! I'd do that kind of mileage to buy a bottle of milk and a tube of toothpaste!😂😂 Hardly a journey that was a challenge or feet of achievement.🤔👍
Wow! A lot of good looking bikes. They are well preserved. That guy with the dog on his motorcycle, not sure I would be comfortable bringing my dog like that... what if something happens.
That is so cool that you are meeting subscribers!
Thank you as always Judith. 😊
24 years ago when leaving Dartmouth having just observed the solar eclipse I remember getting up behind a guy on an XT500 and in his rucksack on his back I could make out something moving and then i saw that it was the head of a Jack Russell terrier poking out.He seemed quite content.
Also have a look at early Adam Sandoval videos. He rode all around the US with his dog on his Bike and also the GoRuffly channel who also ride with their dog.😊
@@ed.barker7069 I know some people do it... I just said I wouldn't be comfortable riding with a live animal on my back/bag on my motorcycle.
@@LivingLifewithJudith Not even a Mutt on a Mutt? or a Boxer on a Boxer?😂
@@ed.barker7069 If it's alive... no.
Hey, woke up and there you are!
Hope it helps your day. 😊
@@restdayrider bikers and bikes always do Charlie! X
Not riding the Meteor these days Charlie, is it a keeper or are you going to get rid of it?🤔🙂👍
There will be news on the Meteor soon. 😊
I did think of buying a Royal Enfield but ended up with a BMW 310R! 🤣
This is the kind of gathering that just isn’t possible here in the United States. Wish I could have been there.
You have the Barber museum and Wheels Through Time and The Cannonball runs. I also watch a lot of American RUclipsrs who regularly go to Bike Nights at their local dealers. Try searching locally or even instigate a meeting yourself. Every journey starts with the first step. ( Or wheel rotation).😊
@@ed.barker7069 yes, but how many V twins can you look at?
Good morning, every time you say Roger I'm convinced you are going to say Todger.I must have a dirty mind 😜 😅
We could definitely be friends
😂
Are you taking Roger to the ABR festival ?
Sadly I'll be in France this year, maybe next year. 😊
That's Awfull Charlie if you've ridden 24 miles more you deserve a Trophy 🏆 👍
Yeah I do! 😂
I like how Sammy refers to himself as Miller when talking to the camera like he is another person - Nice bimble!
Why are you unable to heart the comments anymore?
I'm not sure?
@Rest Day Rider Yes I just noticed it on your channel the last while. I can still do it on my channel and I don't think it's something you can switch off. Very strange 🤔
What kind of camera do you use?
A scratched Insta 360 one X2 and a Go Pro 8. 😊
@@restdayrider Thank you very much.
What’s the backing music ?
It's all from an app called Artlist I subscribe to which is copyright free. 😊
