  • In this video Sammy Miller (from the SAMMY MILLER MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM) discusses and demonstrates the differences between various classic motorcycle suspension fork designs. The types of forks discussed in this video are trailing link forks, telescopic forks, girder forks and leading link forks.
    Sammy doesn't just talk about suspension for design, he actually takes each motorcycle featured for a ride. At the end of this video you'll see, hear and ride on board with Sammy on each of these classic motorcycles.

    You could see Sammy was really enjoying the fully faired NSU Sportmax, he's still got a good eye for a racing line too.

    So cool to watch your videos sammy, it's also cool to see young kids there enjoying it too. I remember when you came to New Zealand for the classic festival and I was just a kid

    That's actually quite interesting. I've often wondered how girder, trailing, and leading link designs actually work in practice.

      My girders were terrifying at first, but I took a bit of time to set them up. Now they're just frightening.
