Gorgeous - I must do one of these walk arounds for my own Model 9. They're just really interesting and all owners have so much fascinating knowledge about their own bikes. That layout for the front brake is intriguing - does it mean you can brake and change hear at the same time? Because that is the main drawback of a hand change with brake on front left.
Hmm. Think somebody has been swapping around your levers/controls, i.e.: where they are & what they do. 🤔 Yes I am aware you could have 'your' motorcycle configured the way you stipulated, but.... Here in Blighty, within spitting distance of Sunbeamland, I have an original (except the same replacement AMAL you have - a common thing I'm told by the Marston people) April 1927 model 5 Longstroke. Mine came originally from Lord Dashwood MP of West Wycombe via a good friend, the second owner.
Wow David, these flat tank Sunbeams are something special!
Thanks it goes well on the road as well.
Very nice idle
If you have a sound engine & have the carburation & magneto set up correctly you can get that down to just under one 'beat' per second. 🙂
