Just to give a bit more of info on this sequel...."Cleanin out my closet" was released on 2003 while "Headlights" was released on 2013
I think I understand what kind of Eminem you would enjoy, so I have some suggestions: When I’m gone, Mockingbird, Bad Husband, Beautiful (full version), Castle & Arose. Those are some of the most personal and beautiful songs by Eminem
Edit: I forgot to mention Hailies Song (it’s about how happy he was after he got custody over his daughter Hailie)

1. -kim, 2. -97 bonnie and clide, and 3. -bad husband (one of my all-time favorite em songs) ... or about his daughter
1. mockingbird , 2. when i'm gone, and you could also add 3. + 4. castle and arose ... and so on, and so on ... best thing is if you start somewhere with his older works and do an emotional roller coaster through his discography ... so far he had a perfect song for me for every emotional situation...
P.S. No, this song was not made right sfter the first. cleaning out my closet is from 2002 and headlights from 2013 durig that time em made other songs where he mentioned his mother in degative way but at the end he comes whit this beautiful song!!! the opposit to this is the end of "leaving heaven" (about his genetic father right after he died)

That's one of my favourite songs from Em. I just hope that she'll either react to a lyric video or an edited version of the msuic video, becuase the actual music video is missing a whole verse. I don't understand why they left that out...

I remember he released this on Mother's Day. I couldn't believe he put a song out like this after all the hate he sent her way over the years. I cried like a baby! So beautiful. As others mentioned on your previous reaction, Eminem has some pretty rough songs that are meant for shock value. Some people will try to push you to react to those ("Kim", "97 Bonnie and Clyde", "Kill You", "Fack", etc). I suggest you stay away from those for a while until you really understand him, his persona, and his artistry. If you jump into those too soon, it may turn you off from listening to him. I hope that doesn't happen - I love seeing people learn about Eminem for the first time. You said in your last video that it was like listening to poetry. Eminem is a lyrical genius, no doubt. His ability to master the English language is crazy. I might also suggest pulling up the lyrics when listening to get as much as you can out of the song.

Marshall has evolved quite a bit over the years. Keep in mind that he's still relevant almost 30 years after coming onto the scene. Even this song is still younger Eminem. You have a long journey ahead.

I love this so much! Seeing you going behind just his persona he puts on, as he says in his song “No apologies” he’s a “sheep in wolfs clothing” there’s more to him than just his mainstream songs, he has so many relatable under rated songs. I recommend the song “guts over fear” to you. I feel like you’d love it! Here’s a few songs I also think you may enjoy due to his skillful, word smithing - yet sincere lyrics.

Eminem is a legend ..iv followed him since i first heard of him in 1999 ..his story is epic ..his songs will make you mad,cry, or laugh you butt off ...his content word play is beyond everyone
There was a huge period of time between Cleaning Out My Closet and Headlights. Around 10-ish years.
I mean Cleanin’ out my closet came out in 2002 (The Eminem show) . Headlights came out 2013 (MMLP2). 11 years. He had a lot of things to process. Especially when he was suicidal and going through therapy (Listen to Not afraid)
I recommend listening to your never over it’s about Eminem’s best friend DeShaun Dupree Holton (Stage Name: Proof) who got shot and killed in 2006
Eminem put his pain in his music. He went after everyone that hurt him. He matured over time and apologized to his mom and his ex wife Kim. Listen to "Bad Husband" .

I was today years old first time seeing this song.
Song always hits the feels if there's one thing eminem can do its throw a ton f emotion in his clever lines not a single rap artist now days can step one foot in his direction.
Nf is the only one that's close to him but even then he has quite the distance to travel
It should be noted that there's 11 years between the release of Cleanin' out my closet and Headlights. Not just any 11 years either. Between 2002 and 2013 he became severely addicted to various drugs, had a creative block and did many things of which he isn't proud until he overdosed in 2007, thankfully he survived and took that as an opportunity to get clean again, which he has been since. The latter half of that time period is mostly marked by him releasing music that was met with nowhere near the reception of his earlier albums. It's a massive rabbithole to go down, but basically, the massive difference between Cleanin' out my closet and Headlights doesn't come from nowhere. I personally think it's the rather wholesome visible result that life-changing events can have.

You'd need to listen to these songs: Kim, '97 Bonnie and Clyde and Bad Husband.
I'm not sure about the order of the first 2 songs, because Kim was released later but takes place earlier so I guess you can decide, but make sure to listen to Bad Husband, even though it's from an album a lot of people hate for some reason...

Cleaning Out My Closet is on his 2002 album The Eminem Show. Headlights is on his 2013 album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Between them, Eminem had a long battle with methadone addiction. 2010 is when his sobriety really began, and he's been clean ever since. His dad tried to reunite with him after he got famous in the early 2000s, but Marshall refused to meet him. He passed away recently.

This song is titled headlight because the headlight of cars are same parts but in different sides hence they doesn't meet.. so this symbolize his rltn to his mom is sound and fine now can't be together in life all again. 😉 Thanks for reacting..

I really enjoy watching your reactions to these songs. The persona of "Slim Shady" cast such a large shadow over the career of Eminem that people don't always associate these absolute works of art as something that he does. Everyone focuses on the controversial elements of his music instead of his real masterpieces that have very complex lyrics and rhyme structures while also inspiring emotions and most importantly: Telling an engaging story. He has continuity in a few sets of songs. You already got the first. The others I can think of are 1) Castle & Arose 2)Stan & Bad Guy. Both sets are superb. I highly recommend Stan and Bad Guy though. Stan is considered by many to be his masterpiece. I personally think Bad Guy is even better. Regardless, I look forward to seeing whatever comes next here since I just subbed.
