  • A quick test of the Karcher WD2 and its ability to remove water from a kitchen floor and washing machine filter trap door.
    As expected the Karcher was great and removed all traces of water from all areas. I have used the Karcher a few times since this and every time it has been excellent, if a little noisy!

    I have one at home because of my dog's fur. It's a poweful machine, and very very noisy. i use only the air filter because paper bag filter clogs to much fast. I had to change it for a overpriced famous make because of my son problems of allergy (the karcher did good job cleaning but doesn't have a hepa filter system). So the karcher is mainly a workshop vacum and I also reserve it for dirty jobs as seen in the video.

      @mikesunboxing  6 лет назад +5

      I am the same I have a Dyson DC01 (in pretty bad condition) upstairs and a DC25 downstairs and the karcher and a Dewalt for the dirty or wet jobs. The Dewalt is the most versatile with the battery or mains option and also it is wet and dry. The only downside is the lack of a carpet type head. but otherwise it is a great all rounder. It just occurred to me that I probably have some deep seated issues :-)

    I found a great solution for these being so top heavy or blowing itself across the floor when you turn it on, I used a heavy duty glue (Tech 7) to stick a 2.5kg iron dumbell weight to the bottom of the body and I haven't had any tipping issues OR it driving itself across my garage with the exhaust when not super full.
    I even used it to vacuum up the driveway after spilling a bin full of waste metal shards and wood chips. It did a great job and the driveway was super clean. Though yes, I 100% agree it's a noisy vacuum!

    +Mike’s unboxing
    Thanks very much for the review, Mike!
    I’m looking to buy one from Screwfix. KARCHER WD2 1000W 12LTR WET & DRY VACUUM CLEANER 240V.
    In your experience and as per description and guidelines, will it do the job in sucking out blocked water?
    I’ve used a Henry and it did the job and I had not had any issues since, but in hindsight I shouldn’t had used it (a Henry) as it’s not custom made to be a wet trade vacuum.
    Also, should The cartridge filter must always be installed - with wet and dry vacuuming?
    Keep the reviews coming, mate! 🙂

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  4 года назад +1

      thanks for watching! it should be a good choice but it isn't really rated as a pro level unit and is aimed more to the home user - saying that it is well made (if a little light and prone to topple when empty)
      the filter should be used all the time it seems but i use my own judgement and it some instances i would use it without.
      for the money it is a good tool in my opinion.

    Hi.
    Does the hard plastic end on the hose come off? I've got a blocked pipe & want to put the plastic/flexable hose down the pipe to try to unblock it. Does it suck AND blow?
    Thanks

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  6 лет назад +2

      It would come off but as it is plastic and possibly quite brittle I don't know if it would damage it? Although some glue and gaffer tape should repair most things!
      Sorry I can't be more precise. Although karcher do sell spare parts, a the cost of a hose is probably less than a plumber?
      What sort of blocked pipe is it and how deep will it need to go?
      Maybe you could attach an old Dyson hose to it to save the karcher one? If you go to the local recycling centers they sometimes have old vacuums you could take an old hose from?
