Dear Paradox, please make optimizing performance the top priority until it runs well on the recommended specs. I do not care if it gets any new features until performance has been fixed. This game is one that I've been looking forward to more than any other game releasing this year.
I'm sure this is their priority right now. It'll get a "mostly negative" on steam after launch and will have to start climbing uphill

I have been so freakin’ exited for this game! For some reason, I am most hyped for the road tools. The move it mod is built in, you can add or remove lanes realistically, and the road lines actually exist! I am so hyped and so great full I have a pc to play this on, since console got delayed.
I think everybody's super hyped for the new road tools, to be fair. Road building just looks so much more natural in C:S2, even without mods.

I first discovered C:S1 on RUclips a few months back, and it just happens that I am getting my first gaming laptop next week, so I’m going straight to C:S2 and words can not express how excited I am for this game! I really cannot understand you - GTX Super 1650 from 2019 / SSD - running it on low-normal settings really good, no freeze, no lag. I think you just need to adjust settings - it was not intended to play smooth on ultra-high when your PC is low spec.

Can't wait to relive my childhood again. I hope this will be better optimized for bigger cities than C:S 1 - and even if not, it still brings me joy to see one of my favourite games of all time coming back better than ever with an epic sequel!
Don't worry. This is a brand new game completely written from scratch, so it will be very optimized & runs much better than CS1
Most likely will since CS 1 didn't use multicore, so if you use more then 1 core can handle, it affects performance. CS 2 uses multicore meaning you can unleash your PC's capacity on it. :D

@@KepleroGTI thought it was fairly common knowledge that GPUs use AI to optimise games these days. It's almost impossible that performance won't improve drastically once more players are playing the game.
Regardless, this is a city Sim not an FPS or a racer. It's going to make zero difference to gameplay whether you get 20fps or 120.
It's also one of the most complex and ambitious games ever created. It's weird that people think just because it's piss to render 25 character models in a first person shooter means that simulating a million or more agents with pathfinding on a complex network would also be easy despite the fact that nobody has tried it in a game before.
The game hasn't even released and people are already desperate to complain about it, this is why so many games resort to exploiting players. It doesn't seem to matter how incredible the end product is there are always people like you who want to ruin it for no reason.
Please, feel free to correct me if you're somehow playing this game before everybody else but if you're just repeating the same rumours as every other clown, maybe you should ask yourself why it's so difficult for you to see other people enjoying themselves.
We're going to look forward to the game, and if it sucks we'll be dissatisfied. You don't get points for predicting it, and nobody will be grateful for your "warning".
CS1 has been delivering consistently for a decade, why would this game be any different?
If they hadn't made the game as ambitious as this for fear of performance issues, you'd be out here complaining about that instead.
Maybe go play something else and stop watching videos about things you hate just to spread your misery.
CS1 gave us so much, looking forward to next phase of the series!

1:26 this is going to be amazing but did anyone notice you can build a “gated community” and it looks like it has a functional code in game so your in world sims don’t enter unless they have access!!! This level of detail is what I’m most excited about! ❤

Shame this may be be a disaster on launch day if the recommended specs of a 3080 can muster only 30-40 frames.
The release trailer stating the possibility to "build tokyo" is hopefully more than just a nudge at modders. I'd adore a Japanese theme within the first few years of the game.
I was really really excited about this until my pc suddenly doesn't meet the minimum requirements and now I'm just sad. 😆 I've been waiting for almost every feature in this for years. I guess I'm stuck with C:S1 until I'm able to upgrade my old pc. Enjoy the game for me everyone. 😆 Hoping for a successful release and looking forward to playing it someday.
I can recommend you Cloud Gaming like GeforceNow, you can play there with a Nvidia 4080 and the best Systems what Nvidia has to offer. It coasts 21,99 Euros per Month, i am playing over there since 7 Months because I dont have the Budget to buy a new one and thereofere this is the best Option when you have a good Internet Connection :)

I imagine the recommended settings are used for moderate to high settings on the higher resolutions. I’d THINK that on a lower resolution on moderate settings or even low settings, the game would run super smooth

@@Leonard_MT The workshop isn't the end-all be-all of modding aggregates. It's convenient because it's directly connected to steam but they could do even better with a first party mod page if done correctly.

Then you'll be disappointed. Possibilities will be lower with no steam workshop and only approved by paradox modders will benefit.. that's if they don't monetize the workshop in a year to make more money when mods become more available.

@@Jayson_Uzumaki CS1 is largely depends on mod so I don't think they will make modding harder in CS2. I think the remove of steam workshop might not necessary be a bad thing, as not everyone bought it from steam. It kinda allows a more flexible modder community to work on the game.

My dad bought this game and now I get to play it. It’s way more realistic than the og. And less of a pain since every utility is connected to the road.

I think that’s relative the average annual salary in Russia is $14k USD while it’s $60k USD in USA. In Russia $250 USD a week is considered normal. Thank you paradox for not charging Americans $500 for this game. 🤷🏼♂️ so even though that’s cheap by your standards by a Russian standard it’s just as expensive as it is for you.
