You see that all the people that died horrible deaths in this movie were people who deserved it because they cost others their lives, mostly due to hatred, so their gruesome deaths were WELL DESERVED!

Haha I’m 30 and I loved this fucking movie! My grandma had little black statue-like people and my grandpa would tease us by saying look! It’s a niglet! Lmaoooo. It was funny as well as scary because my grandma’s white (my grandpa’s black) so there was some irony there. My grandpa traumatized us into loving horror films from a young age. This was around 2001 so I was like 8 years old. He randomly sat us in front of the tv, literally right in front of it, and turned on Amityville Horror. He watched us the whole time, almost like he enjoyed scaring us more than he enjoyed actually watching the movie. When the Jodie scene came up, with the red eyes in the window, he was like did you see that? Jodie’s outside! Don’t look out the window! Lmaooo he was a menace. I thank him though because if it weren’t for him, my mom wouldn’t have made us sit down to watch movies, and in turn I wouldn’t be such a huge horror movie fan. He molded her and she molded me. It’s the one gift she ever gave me that’s helped me get through life.

It's funny how the actor playing this role apologized numerous times but the director couldn't stop laughing at his comments.

I just commented a synopsis of the movie to some foreigner to the US and included the line. "He's staunchly racist. You dislike him immediately because of his use of the N-word. However through his creative use of the N-word, you begin to develop some sympathy for the man."

I remember walking into a living room as a 4-5 year old by accident to see my family watching this. This and Chucky made me afraid of dolls...especially those Victorian Era Porcelain ones. I still can't get used to those and im 26 year old man lol.

This scene was kinda funny and creepy at the same time that it was mentioned he looked all over that house for the dolls when he didn't even know they were right in front of him the whole time in that painting till right upto the end when all the dolls came out of the picture and attacked him while the old voodoo woman appeared holding the first doll to come out in her lap.
This is one of the best part of the Tales from the Hood. I keep a mini portrait of this at work for protection.
